    location. breakfast room service staff.

our 1st room had a very small window at floor level. we changed to a 2nd room, which had a small window at eye level. we finally, on our 3rd change, received a corner room, number 319, which had 2 large windows. we were in the hotel for 6 days, hence the need for fresh air via a decent window, with view.

Very helpful staff, Comfortable, clean and no noise at night. Very accessible and within walking distance of restaurants, tourist attractions, shopping etc. Great location. would stay there again.

Room was spacious enough and comfortable. Bathroom a little small. Shower awkward to access as it was over the bath but would still stay there again.

Location couldn't be better, literally beside everything. The room we had was on the small side but we loved it. Really didn't need anything more than what we had. There was free coffee in the room, it was spotlessly clean and the bed was really comfortable. The staff were pleasant and really helpful. Would definitely recommend.

At our request we were given a lovely room that was quiet and with a large window.

The room could have been a little more spacious .

You are right in the heart of the old part of the city with the shops, restaurant, quays and historical buildings a few steps from the hotel. Staff were extremely helpful and had excellent English.

There was a little street noise at night but you would expect this given the location. The rooms are on the small side.

Excellent location in the heart of the heritage area of Bordeaux. Surrounded by very good restaurants. Facilities are functional and comfortable and very good value. Breakfast at €14 is worthwhile. Gluten free bread available on request.

For those who are unsteady on their legs or for large people the shower is a challenge. The shower/ bath is higher than the level of the floor making it difficult to step up or down. As well the shower screen is fixed thus leaving a small space to get into the shower. A rail on the wall would be helpful.

The hotel is just off rue Sainte Catherine and a stone's throw from the beautiful Place du Parlement, so right in the heart of the pedestrianised historical centre and a brilliant base for exploring the city on foot. The hotel is a bit soulless inside, but our rooms (one double and one triple) were very comfortable and clean, and the air conditioning on a hot weekend in July was very welcome.

We parked in the carpark the hotel told us was nearest (Bourse/Jean Jaurès, 5 mins' walk away) which charges 25 euros per day, but when we checked in we discovered that the one with which they have an arrangement is the carpark under the Place des Grands Hommes shopping centre, just west of Allée de Tournay, where you'll pay only 14 euros per day if your parking ticket has been validated by the hotel. It's max 10 mins' walk from the hotel but a nightmare to direct someone to by car because of the one-way system. The receptionist couldn't do it when we were standing in front of her with the town map the hotel supplies. For the record, heading north along the river front you turn left up Allée des Quinconces; at about 12 o'clock on the horseshoe-shaped Allée, turn right into Cours de Tournon; take the last exit off the roundabout next to the bakery Paul into tiny rue Condillac (the turning AFTER Cours G. Clemenceau); and then follow the signs left off Condillac to the Parking. The hotel can give you a code to drive into the pedestrianised area to drop off your luggage but the receptionist didn't advise it (très compliqué) and I wouldn't be brave enough to attempt it.
