Access a little awkward

Accommodations were clean and modern. Staff was outstanding from the chef/owner, his wife and the waiters. Food in both the B9 Bistro and gastronomic restaurant was fabulous. An experience we will never forget at a very affordable price.

1) The room, tho' smaller than usual, was of a high standard with an excellent "designer" bathroom; 2) the staff were friendly and helpful; 3) we had an excllent dinner from the €55 "menu" and could have been far more extravagant had we chosen to be (we decided that the €22 breakfast was!); 4) the location (once found) is stunning, on the piazza opposite the Duke's palace along with other bars and restaurants etc.

1) The usually very reliable satnav needed a lot of help (and abuse) to avoid the roadworks, the new tram system and the drive accross the pedestrianised square; 2) the parking is non-existant: you dump your car and walk to the restaurant. Then a member of staff will take your car to the garage; 3) Booking.com should also make it clear that this is not a hotel per se but a restuarant with 5 rooms and that you check-in at the restaurant as there is no access to the "residence". This will reduce all this initial frustration of finding and accessing the place. This evaporates once you get to reception as the rest is pretty much perfect. Now we know all this, we will definitley go back in summer when we can enjoy the old city as well.

Hotel Team was very kind and nice! The location is also very good! There are only 5 rooms, but they have a different and interesting design, are really comfortable and with a nice space!

Excellent location, room design & size, quite neighborhood, in-room facilities. This is where I would stay if I return to this town!

Fantastic boutique hotel, attached to a magnificent Michellin starred restaurant in a wonderful location!! We loved our stay and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Dijon!!

We stayed in the suite and were delighted with the decor and style of the spacious accommodation and the lovely claw bath in the bedroom. The restaurant was lovely, overlooking the plaza. The house menu at 52 Euro pp was excellent value and included extra "surprise" courses, like appetiser, cheese course etc. All staff were very helpful, they parked our car for us and did not mind our lack of French - they tried to find English speaking staff all the time who were all very gracious. This accommodation is a real surprise find in a great location in a lovely town! We loved it!!!

We couldn't find hotel entrance or reception so went to restaurant (next door) and hostess looked after us immediately. A sign on hotel door would be helpful or instructions on booking confirmation.

Cleanliness, modern, and location to restaurants, Train station and shops!

Small room but, would be ok if all the extra furniture was left out. It was very warm even with windows open.

Excellent location right on the palais les duc square. The room was gorgeous. Perfectly designed. We stayed in natural. Blue/white decor. Everything was well thought out for every comfort and for eye candy. Great shower as well. Dinner is over reaching and expensive go elsewhere. Service was lovely but food was not. My husband had a seriously over cooked piece of baby boar no excuse for that. Nothing in the verbal own long meal was memorable. Much better eating to be had in the area.

Dining room, staff pretty much absent.

We had very clean, comfortable rooms that were completely remodeled with a modern decor, so we had the best of essentially new rooms in an old, city center location. Everything worked well in the room and we really enjoyed our stay.

We had asked for rooms on the rear of the hotel, but got rooms on the front, where some lighting was a bit of a problem for sleep, but not too much. The breakfast was very good, but also small and highly-priced.

Provides modern accommodation in an old building in the centre of Dijon. Our room was like a fashionable apartment with good space and facilities. Easy access to all the sites is provided and all within walking distance. Good restaurants are all around. We walked from the rail station, which was approx. 1.3 km through the main shopping street. Easy enough to do even with the road works that were taking place.

Loved the funky. cool vibe of the residence and the outstanding restaurant that was affiliated with it. Would definitely recommend it to friends and family. Very retro, french and chic!

Everything about the hotel was spot-on. The room was very modern and well appointed with a fabulous bathroom (shower only but a huge walk-in wet room style). The breakfast was fresh, varied and beautifully present each morning. The hotel staff could not have done more to make us welcome. We were so impressed we felt as though they probably owned it (or deserve to!). The location is also perfect for the Palaise du Ducs, Musee des Beaux Arts and the old town.

The hotel has 5 rooms, all different, and very individual. The rooms are next door to the restaurant which is Michelin starred. The hotel is just off the main square - a fantastic position. However it is very difficult to get to by car because of the one way system . The staff are extremely helpful. The room was very comfortable. Overall highly recommended. We would stay there again.

I was so impressed with the host and the staff. The service was excellent. The attention to detail in the decor, little extras and meals was superb. I highly recommend a stay in this conveniently located, chic residence.

Super b apartments, has nice furniture. Great service personal. Restaurant and brasserie of the same owners just downstairs and very good level. Very helpful service with parking (they just take you car and drive themselves to the parking place). Ideal for romantic couple.

Overpriced breakfasts, but you can have a choice in city. No AC in the room. During summer could be hot even with fan that personal pleasantly could provide upon request.

What a treasure! When we arrived we were afraid we had made a huge mistake, but don't let the nondescript front desk and lobby fool you. Our room (suite) was exquisite, with lovely furnishings, a modern bathroom with rainshower, and huge claw foot tub. There was a lovely glimpse of the Palais from the bathroom window. Best of all was the charming owner, who, when we phoned him at midnight starving after a dinner of only wine tasting, brought us up a "snack" of incredible cheeses, fresh cut ham and other charcuterie, various breads and fresh cherry compote. With two glasses of a perfect Burgundy, and served on linen and silver of course. This residence is a real find in beautiful Dijon.

Parking is difficult, no air conditioning.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, it was like staying with a family rather than in a hotel. My room was spacious, clean and well equipped. I ate lunch in the hotel's excellent restaurant, the food was of a very high standard and the serving staff were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the dishes they served. I would certainly stay there again and would recommend it to others.

The Résidence du Pré aux Clercs has it all. Location, location, location: it IS the centre of Dijon just 10 paces from the Place de la Liberation and the ducal palace. Situated in a historic house that has been completely renovated to the highest standards. The appointments are superb. It is just adjacent to the Michelin Star restaurant of the same name that has tables on the Place and in a fine dining room. Without exception the staff in both hotel and restaurant could not have been more helpful. We will return! Oh, they have a garage and park your car for you.

Tout, le style et le confort de la chambre. La localisation en centre ville. L'accueil à notre arrivée. Le petit déjeuner avec de très bon produits. A recommander sans réserve !
