Breakfast was ok, but very slow and not organized.
Hotel needs to be renovated
The beautiful surroundings with it's classy decor was very tastefully done and held an intimate yet luxurious atmoshere. Just what I had been looking for to make our stay a bit special. Celebrating a birthday and a long weekend off for us newlyweds 50+ couple. Also my husband has lived in France for many years, so Paris is very special to us. All the staff was excellent and very helpful and accomodating. When very dissapointed and let down with the room upon arrival, the size was far smaller than promised when booked and very crammed with furniture (not at all what I had been looking forward to according to the photographs). And worse, the AC did not work, so the first night was very uncomfortable and hot. The staff was understanding and tried to accomodate us although the hotel was fully booked, and the next night we were upgraded to a large and beautiful business room. It made our stay perfect, thank you! We must point out the most beautiful attraction with this wonderfully romantic hotel, The Champagne bar! A spectacular historic room with a serene and elegant atmosphere. What a room to sit a relaxed afternoon hour with a glass of the most wonderful choice of Champagne. Also acts as the breakfastroom, not a bad start of a day in Paris! The tasteful lobby with a blazing fireplace, the wonderful little elevator, and also the smell og this hotel. A gem. I loved this hotel; very romantic, chic, oldfashioned and friendly. We will return when we want something special!
Room much smaller than promised when booked. Too crammed with furniture so no place for our suitcases to open. Worse: unbarably hot and stuffy in the room with a broken AC. Even the nice room was too warm during the night, even when trying to turn the temperature all the way down.
Lovely staff, such a comfy bed. great location!
The only negative things I can say are the shower was sometimes a bit cold and the wifi was a bit rubbish. However .. who sits on Facebook all day in Paris... NO ONE!
authentic deco, not a big chain feeling hotel
the housekeeping really poor- we stayed 5 nights and the bathroom was always still full of hair, bed side tables full of dust, wc not cleaned. Would order a la carte breakfast but would charge me continental which was 20e per person. Reduced that from the final bill when checking out though however staff needs to pay attention as this ruins your morning and moods.
a nice hotel with obliging staff
the receptionist gave us incorrect information about the Metro plan
Location, stylish hotel, friendly staff. I like tuning in the morning and a member if staff have me advise on running routes. All staff spoke English and let me practise my poor French
No tea/coffee in room. The room was really small which I was aware of when booking but does a room that small Need 3 large chairs, 2 tables and a large mini bar, stayed 3 nights and had no draws to store clothes, couldn't close the wardrobe door as the hangers were to large, maybe using smaller hangers as the wardrobes were built in.
Location was ok.
Beds were extremely uncomfortable and old, Room too small, that's why pricy. Maybe it's because it's Paris.
No coffee/tea making facilities in room. Cost 18 euros to buy one coffee and one tea in bar. Breakfast 30 euros each. Ridiculously expensive. Very dark reception.
Location and breakfast
Price and small room, no space for luggage, to make coffee was a mission table wedged under staircase
The hotel is within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower and many good bistros / restaurants. Staff so helpful and look forward to my next stay at the hotel.
Boutique hôtel - great ambiance
Property is tired - no improvements in 9 years Air conditioning works poorly Value for money is poor
The location was perfect for our needs and staff were very helpful and pleasant.
The concierge, Jean Philip (I believe) was amazing. Gave great recommendations. The entire staff was very helpful and friendly.
The breakfast staff spent more time in the back. It is not a good value for the price. Walk across the street or around the corner for a better experience and deal.
There was nothing not to like.
Didn't try the champagne bar on this occasion, and understand the excellent sommelier from last year has moved on.Hope the replacement is as good!
The whole hotel and it's style
Volume on TV only went up to 30
I think the room needs a little upgrade or to be refresh .
the concierge was very professional and supportive!
I booked the eifel suite for as a special surprise WE with my wife under the roof with the view. the A/C was broken. it was way too hot!
AC didn't work or no AC
Beautifull decoration. Most lovely hotel I know. Extremely nice staff. Very confortable and very calm.
The wardrobes are really small. For a week end is OK but I don't know how it would work for a longer stay
The service and ambience of this hotel sets the tone for everything dreamed of in a Paris holiday. The staff is second to none.
We choose the Hotel for its location and its elegant look. We did not have breakfast as they did not serve espresso or capuccino, only "cafe americano", which is not acceptable for a price of a breakfast of Euro 30! Our room was obviously the smallest, which was too bad as we stayed 4 days and the Hotel was not fully booked.
The location of the hotel is excellent for getting around Paris. The decor in the hotel was lovely and was for us a boutique type of hotel. The staff were attentive and helpful, and the cleanliness was second to none.
We were told on our arrival that we had been upgraded which was a lovely touch as we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. We arrived at our room, number 103. Unfortunately if that was an upgrade be prepared for disappointment. Although the room decor was tasteful we were short on draw space (there were no draws) and wardrobe space (what we had was not a wardrobe) so had to leave many items of clothing in the suitcases which were tipped up against the wall as there was no where else to put them. This room although had a double bed was really only for a single traveller.
location for the purpose of my trip
no complimentary bottle of water
Value for money, the description was a deluxe bedroom with a walk in shower very disappointed with the room
