Radisson SAS Hôtel Nice

Hieno merinäköala ja rantabulevardi, taxeja aina hotellin oven edessä, hotellin kattoterassi loistava paikka ja auki jo heti aamusta. Hotellin respan henkilökunta ystävällistä ja auttavaista.

Rantabulevardin liikenteen aiheuttama meteli, jos ovi oli auki. Oven kiinni ollessa melua ei kylläkään kuulunu lainkaan. Aamupala turhan kallis, jos ei ole tottunut syömään aamulla muuta kuin vähän mehua, kahvia ja sämpylää.

Erittäin tilava huone, kauniit maisemat. Kattoterassi oli mahtava, näkymät illallisella rantakadun ylle. Kattoterassin uima-allas oli ihana, mutta aurinkotuoli maksoi 18e/päivä, 15e/puoli päivää. Aamupala oli loistava, se maksoi 22e/hlö, mutta hinnalle sai vastinetta. Hotellin edessä oli maksullinen ranta, jossa palveluita, sekä ilmaista rantaa. Keskustaan oli useampi kilometri, mutta hotellilta kulki ilmainen shuttle-bussi 6 kertaa päivässä edes-takaisin. Lentokentälle oli lyhyt matka, taksikyyti maksoi 15e/suunta. Kaikin puolin olimme tosi tyytyväisiä hotelliin. Sijainnin puolesta tosin seuraavalla kerralla valitsemme todennäköisesti hotellin lähempää keskustaa.

Sijainti

Hotelli täytti hyvin perheemme tarpeet kolmen yön yhdistettyä ranta- ja kaupunkilomaa varten. Ilmastointi oli tehokas ja äänieristys hyvä. Käytimme huonepalvelua, jossa annokset olivat ok, mutta hinnat korkeat. Uima-allasosasto oli tyylikäs, kuljetukset keskustaan olivat hyvä lisä palveluun.

Ruokien hinnat, pyyhevuokrat ym. olivat turhan korkeat. Aamiaisella oli kovin ruuhkaisaa, mutta pöydistä löytyi kyllä monenmoista herkkua.

Location, comfort, attitude - everything was just as one could have expected from Radisson.

I particularly liked the comfort of the hotel, and the location.

The fact that the hotel shuttle to the old town wasn't running in early October, and that we had to call for missing towels (we were 2 in each room)

Why charge for the pool?

The comfort and class of the hotel was excellent, and the nearby beach was great, have no charge for the gym or make it less.

Excellent facilities - arrived before check in time and was given room with no hassle. Very polite and helpful desk staff.

The staff were friendly and helpful and the free courtesy bus was very welcome, given the distance from the town centre. Nice hotel.

The daily charge for towels/sunbeds was unwelcome. Normally these facilities are free for residents in hotels of this standard. Also the prices of drinks/snacks in the minibar were exorbitant.

The staff definitely made the stay for us. The wrong type of room had been allocated on arrival, and they did everything they could to move us quickly.

On booking it was not made clear that all hotel facilities were charged in addition to the basic hotel cost e.g. gym, swimming pool etc. Also, on booking with booking.com it was made out that a deluxe room was something more special than the Radisson's basic room - this was untrue on talking to the staff as all rooms are the same (variance is in sea view only) - this should be made clear. The minibus into the centre of Nice is only available at weekends (not made clear on the pamphlet given out by the concierge) - and because of lack of public transport and expensive taxis it would be extremely useful if a couple were offered in the evening as opposed to during the day.

Valet parking is comfortable.

Somehow apart from the old town. Poll and beach sun-bed fee is too high.
