Location was great, staff was nice.
Found stains on towels and grease marks on headboard.
Where we stayed was a great location for us, as it was next to a concert venue we were going too. Room was small but did the job.
The staff member on nights was extremely rude, he couldn't speak English and was arguing with me over something I couldn't understand. Daytime staff were friendly. The bathroom flooded every time i took a shower.
great location in montmarte. a lovely little hotel, the rooms are tiny, but well appointed and comfortable. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Location, friendly staff, good room
shower facility was difficult to operate, no mini bar or restaurant
too noisy (crazy neighbor slams the door too often), room was smalest of the world (((
The room was nice and clean, and most members of the staff were very friendly and nice. The location is also great for using the metro to explore the city.
1) The first member of the staff that we met was unfriendly, but the others were terrific. 2) One of the towels was visibly dirty when we arrived. Then, after they cleaned our room on the 2nd day, they only left 1 towel for the 2 of us. There was also only 1 bar of soap and one bottle of shampoo (for both shower and sink use). 3) The bathroom door was very difficult to shut because it was not fitted properly to the frame. The toilet kept getting stuck and running non-stop after we would flush it. 4) Early on our last morning, the people across the hall from us didn't close their door properly when they left, so we were woken up by the loud, repetitive alarm that sounds when the door is left open for too long. Later, after waking up and going out to close the neighbor's door, our sleep was interrupted again by the cleaning lady knocking multiple times and loudly reminding us that we needed to check out a few hours later (all in Spanish, which is luckily a language I speak).
Close to metro.
No tea and coffee making facilities and small room. A bit expensive for what you get.
The WC lid was broken when AI checked in. I told the hotel staff and they didn't repair it in time. I booked myself almost 3 weeks before check in and I had given my credit card details. However, 3 days before my check in, I was informed by Booking. Com that I need to revalidate the credit card details. It was a task for me as I was in Nice on a leisure trip and I had to struggle to modify my card details twice as they didn't accept the first modification. They put a tab of Euro 9 on breakfast which had corn / wheat flakes along with a cup of coffee. The cafe is in a dingy basement and nobody to attend to guests. For Euro 119/-, it was highly overpriced. I recommend Booking.com to drop such properties as it'll only bring down the portal's credibility and reputation.
Early chech in (10 a.m.!), freandly staff...
Shauer was broken, dark room, there was a tv, but a very poor tv signal.
Perfect spot to visit Montmartre, enjoy long walks on the top of the hill and taste Pigalle's nightlife.
Room was rather small
Great location at the base of the Sacre Coeur in the lively Montmartre area, loads of restaurant and pubs around te corner, comfortable and well maintained hotel. Bed was long enough for me (1.91m) which is quite exceptional in Paris
Breakfast needs to be reserved the day before. No problem, but good to know beforehand. I did not get any information about it at check-in. Breakfast is good and very reasonably priced, so make sure to reserve in advance.
+ The room was very clean, the bathroom spotless and they changed the towels and the sheets every day + The staff was friendly and helpful + They kept safe my stuff (including a laptop bag) when I went for a stroll before catching the plane, which both surprised me and relieved me as the area is not a safe one +it is very close to three metro stations and to Sacre Coeur + If one must stay in the area, this hotel offers more than one would expect for the area standards and more than the other hotels around; this includes clean rooms, quick internet, taxi pick-up for the airport, flyers and maps of Paris, and a nice building.
- The area was a bad one. The first day while walking from metro station Barbes - Rochechouart to the hotel I saw everywhere people trying to illegally sell me iphones or fragrances and cosmetics and some of them looked like drug users. There were at least three of them in every block in both avenues Barbes and Rochechouart (Barbes was way worse). Moreover, in the other side of the pavement there were beggars and homeless people. One of them was even outside the hotel the second day but thankfully he didn't enter inside. After the first day experience, I used the metro station Anvers which is really close to the hotel or Pigalle towards which the area is much better and safer. At night I had my friends bring me to the hotel but surprisingly enough, the area was quieter and I only saw one person who tried to catch my hand in metro Anvers (he did it to all the passers by - he was a peculiar one) and some people gathered together and looking around in a strange way outside the metro but I minded my own business and so did they. Both the nights I was very relieved to enter the hotel safe. From what I understand though from my friends' description, the same thing applies around the whole area of Monmartre. They stayed close to metro Simplon and claim it was worse. Some more minor comments that were nothing compared to my safety worries and would not discourage me to stay there in the future in case the area was better: - The room is not big. The bed is huge but there was not a table to put something on. There was a fridger/mini bar and a safe though. - The window looked at another room and if we both had open curtains we could watch each other. -Some of the staff spoke only French and the cleaning lady spoke only Spanish. However, I must say they were all friendly and very helpful and the cleaning lady was doing an excellent job; I had clean sheets and fresh washed towels everyday. -"Breakfast in the room" was not the case
I certainly didn't enjoy the one night stay in this hotel as much as the lady in the next room did (if you know what I mean...). And after she finally left (or fell asleep?) at 3 am, new noises like rats having fun inside the ventilation channels. Promise you, true story. Maybe I'm too old for Montmartre anyway.
Standard double room: Giant bed. Really comfortable. Temperature control in the room was really convenient. Excellent location, located between Anvers and Pigalle metro station. Minibar in room was handy for chilling drinks or food (always good to have a fridge nearby) Shower was really powerful. Didnt have breakfast but there are plenty of boulangeries/patisseries around for that :)
Cleaning staff only spoke spanish so there was a lot of confusion and our room was not cleaned during our stay because of this. Staff appeared a bit cold. A few small things broken in the room but nothing that impacted our stay. Otherwise I would recommend this hotel :)
Great for ease of access, yet nice quiet rooms with pleasant decor.
nothing of notice
Staff were so friendly, room is exactly as the photo shows. Small but very comfortable!
