Location is perfect and if you are relatively thin and small and do not intend to spend much time in the room, this hotel is for you. The hotel is 30 seconds from the Abbesses metro station on Line 12. As you walk out of the hotel, you have everything you need and you can walk all the way to l'Opera in 40 minutes through interesting streets for instance. It's a miniature hotel in every sense. The room we got was the smallest ever - the bed was put in diagonally to fit. It really was not a double room. The hotel is not recommended for anyone who is tall or large, anyone who goes with children or a large bag - none of that would fit in the lift or even going up or down the stairs, to say nothing of the room. It will be either you our your suitcase in the room but not both :)

We chose the privilidge room and had a magnificent view of the Eiffel Tower I can understand why people complain about the lift being small but Montmatre hotels are all tall and narrow - nothing we did not like

The cozy and warm atmosphere however small the room was, but sooo cozy and welcoming. Very clean and despite the small room extremely comfortable as all was in its place. Location - no better at Montmatre right next to the metro. Friendly staff. Entrance was run down with a shabby smell. Need renovation badly, but since the room was soo cozy, it did not disturb me. Elevator was very small. Price over the holidays went up high, but that's buseinss in general.

Excellent location and fair price. Ideal for those who want cleanliness and basic comforts. The hot water was inconsistent and didn't last very long. A kettle in the room would be nice so you can brew a cup of tea/coffee would be nice.

This place is right at the Abbesses metro exit and very convenient for public transportation if you would like to stay in Montmartre. The rooms (comfort) are nicely decorated, it gives you a feel that you are in France. Do not have breakfast in this hotel, the breakfast room is so kitsch and actually an insult to the stylish neighborhood. Right next to the hotel is an extremely cute place for breakfast. There is nothing luxurious, all services and facilities are simple.

You literally fall out of the Metro Des Abbesses and the hotel is there in a fantastic square with lots of restaurants and the delightful Le Village Bar. I always have breakfast at Le Coquelicot bakery ,metres away, and mentioned in a recent edition of an airline magazine. Try to get a room on the fifth floor whereyou will have a fabulous view of La Tour Eiffel, very " romantique" at night. The price has risen dramatically over the last few years but this is the case with most hotels in Montmartre.

The hotel was well located for us as we didn't want to stay in the middle of Paris. It was clean and spacious enough for us whilst still being close to the Metro to come and go as we pleased. We found some of the best restaurants in the area and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Lovely room, comfortable bed, view of the Eiffel Tower. Very well located, right next to the Sacré Coeur and Place Pigalle. Metro next to the hotel (2 minutes away). Beautiful part of Paris with lots of restaurants and good shopping nearby. Hotel facing a chuch with bells ringing every 15 minutes starting at 9 am. A little annoying if you want to sleep in, although not a bad thing if you need a litttle extra push to get out of bed.

Staff were very welcoming, were patient with our extremely limited French, and as it happened all could speak some English. Our room was just as described on website with a wonderful view of the rooftops of Montmartre with the Eiffel Tower dominating the skyline. Beautiful!! Location perfect for exploring Montmartre and only a couple of hundred metres from Metro. We would recommend this hotel. A big plus was the lift as we were on the 5th floor.

nice surroundings, value for money Bathroom door was a bit shabby, but general cleanliness was ok. The lights in the rooms were not exactly comfortable (e.g. no seperate lights at the bed)

The hotel is directly at the metro "Abesses", 5 minutes from the funiculaire to Sacre Coer und 15 minutes from the top of Monmartre hill. Our room looked over the narrow streets of Monmartre, with a christmas market just near the hotel. At our first morning, the water from the "hot water" tap was really cold. The breakfast could be better. There is no locker room for luggage in the hotel, so if you leave luggage, it is stored in the canteen, quite open and without video-surveillance.

Convenient location; good basic services; friendly and cooperative staff. Bathroom facilities ok but ready for upgrade. Lack of airconditioning. Because no airconditioning, when there was overnight noise outside (inevitable in a city/location) we had to choose between closing the windows and stuffiness in the room.

The location was excellent for visiting the Montmartre area. It was also well suited to use the Metro for other excursions into Paris. One staff member was very helpful in getting us transportation to airport. The room was small and shabby. Lighting was very poor. Tv limited to only French speaking stations. Generally all the facilities were in poor conditon. Shower fixture was broken. No a/C. Elevator left much to be desired.

“A really nice small hotel on a quiet side-street on the Montmartre hill. Very near to the beautiful Sacre-Coer church. The closest metro station is about 300 meters downhill just next to Moulin Rouge.” Andres, Tallinn |
