A very welcome break in our travelling - felt comfortable
The stairs were a little too much for us
Room furnishings worn
We traveled with our two small dogs which were welcomed throughout the hotel as we were,
Friendly staff, good bar and restaurant.
An excellent stopover site but not on a Sunday or early week if a meal required. this should be clarified to anyone booking then and alternative restaurants mentioned as the local area has few
Dark and unwelcoming after a long drive
Bar and restaurant nice room Friendly staff Clean
small rooms small bathroom not a modern hotel, a little old-style ('60s ) No elevator, steep stairs
Our whole experience was great, from the slightly 'Basil Fawlty' type manager to the 'very french' architecture.
The lighting in the corridors could have been brighter.
This hotel was booked at the last minute and boy, did it exceed our expectations! An old building, oozing character, filled with vintage French furniture with a restaurant on site. Free WiFi, comfortable bed, and a great night sleep. The hotel is in a tiny Hamet about 6km from the north of Millau Bridge. A food shop is available in the next village. For a taste of real France, this is the hotel you need to visit!
One happy and helpful waitress Nice Setting
One grumpy male receptionist/barman The restaurant food was not good
Superb location. Quiet. Good traditional food. All at a very reasonable price. Ideal stopover for a night or two in this beautiful region. Recommended for all these reasons!
A bit "old world" but that's what's make it typically country French after all! Not recommended for those looking for roadside concrete "rabbit hutches" and swimming pools!
Great location for a visit to Millau Viaduct
Decor was a bit basic - probably spot on up to date in the 80's
Quiet location at side of trout pond.
An excellent hotel in which to wind down after a long drive.
The best stop over on our whole trip, what a great location & fantastic staff. Unbelievable value & we will be going again. Thank you Relais Du Bois Du Four you hotel should be re rated 4 Star
Just love the friendliness of the staff, the welcome. They are so willing to help with advice about local attractions and of course the food. Please do not let the age of the building put you off, its old and in need of some TLC, but inside its clean, very friendly, comfortable and has great menus. Will stay again on our way through France to the UK from Spain .
As ever the greeting was warm and welcoming. The food is excellent, the offer of different dishes are all cooked to perfection. The beds are very comfortable with extra pillows in the room. We have stayed before and will stay again, it is our treat to stay here.
We were lucky to find such a nice place at such late notice. Impressed with the friendly staff and clean room. Enjoyed our 1 night stay and would visit again.
Restaurant not open Sunday night and no other places to eat nearby. However, the bar was open and the hotel provided us some nice "cold cuts" and wine as room service.
Excellent restaurant, beautiful location and friendly staff.
Paper thin walls - could hear neighbours from going to bed, awaking in night and leaving at crack of dawn!
A handy hotel in an area with very few other options.
Very gloomy, dated decor, though the bathroom was modern. Some rather strange ingredient combinations in the set menu.
Good localion and friendly attention. Restaurant very good.
Poor cleaning toilet. Breakfast very expensive
Lovely hotel, the essence of France with great food and a fantastic little wine collection. Rustic but clean I loved it.
No aircon but I still slept like a log.
