Hotel Restaurant & Spa Relais du Ried  

This hotel is a wonderful experience. The hotel is just outside of Colmar in a small town that is perfectly situated for trips to the wine route, Strasbourg and Germany Rhine villages (which are wonderful). The hotel has extraordinary dining and hospitality. The rooms and beds are comfortable, clean and well maintained with lovely windows opening up to a quiet relaxing countryside. There is a wonderful garden in the back which you can spend hours in relaxing or take a bicycle and tour the ocuntryside. The owner and his staff are charming and most helpful. The food is amongst the best I have had on this trip.

There is no elevator so you must walk up to your room which is only one or two floors. This was not an issue as it is a short trip but if you cannot do stairs than avoid the hotel.

The hotel was easy to find, the staff was welcoming and the room was plenty large for our family.

The breakfast could have been more extensive for 8 e, especially since the hotel has a restaurant.

Really good hotel for travelling by car

Inconvenient layout of some rooms on the mansard floor - can not stand full height in the bath. And 7 km to Colmar - really far without car

Very nice hotel,helpfull and very kind staff',especially christof who did everything to assist to guests requests and he did it always with a smile and good will. Good and satisfied brakfast,good and quiet location,nearby supermarket and gas station . in generally:very good value for money.higly recommended.

The food and ambience was excellent. The location was very good, being away from the main town of Colmar but close enough to enable easy access.

Although we were given 2 twin and 1 double bed rooms, the double was allocated to my 82 year old father in law on the first floor whilst my wife and I were allocated a twin room. The needs of the customers and allocation of suitable rooms should be addressed before arrival

Easy to find. Staff was English speaking and friendly.

Room had an off smell even with the window open. Something like bug spray. The location for touring the wine region was not ideal. We left after one night for both of these reasons and found much nicer and similarly priced hotels along the wine route a few kilometers away.

Very nice small scale hotel, charming owner who made us feel very welcome and had a fantastic restaurant. Nice room, very clean and quiet. Large garden was great for the kids letting off steam.

The room was rather hot could have done with air conditioning.

The shower courtain could be a little longer. Water is going out of the shower. Nothing terrible but easy to fix.

Nice location which suited us well as we were travelling to/from Italy, and the staff were helpful and friendly.

The room was too hot , air conditioning would have been nice as we ended up sleeping with the window open and therefore were woken by traffic noise in the morning.

Price vaue worth it.

Location is too remote for my liking.
