price-quality relationship not in balance hardly 10 m2 for Euro 170 per night? "slightly"exaggerated, I would say

The location could not be better. The owners and staff could not be better. It is a charming place with wonderful service. It was a very good value as well. The owner made great recommendations for dining and then made reservations for us. She knows everything about visiting Paris and what she does not know she is trying to learn continually.

The room was "Paris" smalll but quite manageable and still a good value.

Very pleasant, helpful staff. The location was central, literally across the street from the Louvre and metres from the Seine. The rooms were well decorated and the check in and out process were quick and simple.

Our room was very small (I understand very common in Paris unless you are paying megabucks!) And noisy if the window was open. We hit a hot spell but the air conditioning wasn't running yet so we had either noise or heat.......we chose the heat.

We have stayed here for the second time. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is great - the very center and at the same time pretty quiet. We liked everything!

The hotel staff were very professional and friendly. They were very accommodating and easygoing. The location of the hotel was excellent. One block to the Louvre...one block to the river and the Pont Neuf...just a couple of blocks to Les Halles and a short ten minute walk to the heart of Le Marais with its restaurants and shops.

I don't believe that its anything unique to this hotel, but rooms in Paris are usually very small and a bit dated and terribly overpriced. Relais du Louvre was typically Parisian in this respect but I definitely felt that we could have done a lot worse by staying elsewhere. I would probably try someplace else on a future visit but I don't have any regrets about staying here on this trip.

We Loved the location,the staff were very helpful and friendly. It was expensive,but we had a lovely stay.Breakfast was lovely.The room was immaculate,warm. We had a nice break.Thank you

While the single room was small, it was spotless, well maintained, and comfortable. The staff went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. They checked on restaurants nearby to where I would be sight seeing and were always helpful with directions and recommendations for using the metro efficiently.

The location is perfect - just opposite the Louvre, but on a very quiet street. The staff are friendly and they all speak English! They also sell tickets to the Louvre, so we skipped the line which was great. The room is not big but cosy. The reception room is charming. We will definetely stay here if go to Paris again.

Loved everything about it...fantastic location, beautiful looking hotel, comfortable beds, the staff were really helpful before and during our stay. They even sent a lovely email when I mentioned in advance that two of my friends were vegetarian to check that the breakfasts they had were suitable.

The hotel was too hot sometimes, they could save money on their heating bills and make their guests happier by turning down the temperature of the heating a bit! Some more healthier options for breakfast would have been nice to.

1. Location is perfect. Quiet street very close to the Louvre complex (including a Hertz car hire base), the River Seine, shops on Rue St Honore, chic cafe restaurants such as Le Fumeur. Walking distance (if you like walking) to Notre Dame, and bridges to St Germain des Pres & the river path to Musee d'Orsay etc. Paris on your doorstep! 2. It's a small cosy homely hotel with friendly helpful staff who will recommend best local restaurants, sights & assist with directions etc. The foyer has comfy sofas and travel books. 3. The bedroom views onto the historic church nearby are superb & peaceful. The rooms at the back look into a pretty courtyard. 4. Decor is charmingly old-fashioned good taste. It's relaxing & comforting & has all the basic amenities. I would definitely recommend the Relais du Louvre.

Rooms, lift and staircase are tight on space so not good for large baggage. The small room size means you don't have much space to unpack belongings. Best for those who have smallish suitcases & who are not looking for space-age amenities. The local area is quiet at the moment because the huge Samaritaine department store complex at the end of the street has been closed because of fire damage. When this building is re-opened for business, the local traffic & noise may increase. But for now it's a peaceful corner of a spectacular city.

Tiny room

This is a delightful hotel with charming rooms and helpful staff. It is in a wonderful position - quiet but central and I would happily return.

the location was excellent - right aside louvre palace, with car parking garage under the square and a nice view at the roofs of st germain l'auxerrois church. the room was very cosy, with floral blankets and enough space for 3 (it was suite though). obviously, 2 min distance from louvre, 7 min from notre dame and 10 - from george pompidou center.
