Walls are thin and we could hear the television from floor above from our room on ground floor; no breakfast room, so eating breakfast in room is very tight in space.

While the single room was small, it was spotless, well maintained, and comfortable. The staff went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. They checked on restaurants nearby to where I would be sight seeing and were always helpful with directions and recommendations for using the metro efficiently.

The location of the hotel is superb, be it for sightseeing, shopping or even business. The hotel is well run, the rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean, with plenty of hot water. Above all the staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful.

The location is perfect - just opposite the Louvre, but on a very quiet street. The staff are friendly and they all speak English! They also sell tickets to the Louvre, so we skipped the line which was great. The room is not big but cosy. The reception room is charming. We will definetely stay here if go to Paris again.

Nice little hotel in the heart of Paris, close to everything. Superb location. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Convenient room configuration for a big family. Tastefully appointed rooms. Too expensive considering small room sizes and lack of breakfast room. View to the inner yard is unsightly.

Loved everything about it...fantastic location, beautiful looking hotel, comfortable beds, the staff were really helpful before and during our stay. They even sent a lovely email when I mentioned in advance that two of my friends were vegetarian to check that the breakfasts they had were suitable. The hotel was too hot sometimes, they could save money on their heating bills and make their guests happier by turning down the temperature of the heating a bit! Some more healthier options for breakfast would have been nice to.

Excellent location, exactly by the Louvre museum and 200 metres from Louvre-Rivoli metro station, warm welcome, very small and cosy hotel, genuinely family-driven. Free wi fi connection and good breakfast served in the room. Single rooms are too small, but I did not really care

1. Location is perfect. Quiet street very close to the Louvre complex (including a Hertz car hire base), the River Seine, shops on Rue St Honore, chic cafe restaurants such as Le Fumeur. Walking distance (if you like walking) to Notre Dame, and bridges to St Germain des Pres & the river path to Musee d'Orsay etc. Paris on your doorstep! 2. It's a small cosy homely hotel with friendly helpful staff who will recommend best local restaurants, sights & assist with directions etc. The foyer has comfy sofas and travel books. 3. The bedroom views onto the historic church nearby are superb & peaceful. The rooms at the back look into a pretty courtyard. 4. Decor is charmingly old-fashioned good taste. It's relaxing & comforting & has all the basic amenities. I would definitely recommend the Relais du Louvre. Rooms, lift and staircase are tight on space so not good for large baggage. The small room size means you don't have much space to unpack belongings. Best for those who have smallish suitcases & who are not looking for space-age amenities. The local area is quiet at the moment because the huge Samaritaine department store complex at the end of the street has been closed because of fire damage. When this building is re-opened for business, the local traffic & noise may increase. But for now it's a peaceful corner of a spectacular city.

The staff was excellent in that they were very helpful and spoke excellent English. The location, behind the Louvre, is an ideal location. It's also close to Notre Dame, the Seine and many restaurants/cafes. It's on a one-way side street, so it was very quiet at night. I would return to the Relais du Louvre if I decide to visit Paris again.

What we liked best, we got there to find they had upgraded us to the penthouse suite as was our anniversary. However there was a bad leak in the bathroom and we also couldn't get the plug out of the bath. After informing the reception staff we came back from our concert to find all was fixed and new clean towels provided. Very efficient and our room was just lovely.

The staff were very helpful and fluent in English. The room, while small, was very comfortable. The location and view were extraordinary! We had only a little over 24 hours in Paris, and being right in the center of everything helped us make the most of our time. And amazingly quiet, given how close it is to everything.

I was pleasantly surprised at my well appointed and stocked groundfloor room WITH french doors opening onto a private little courtyard. Air conditioner used infrequently was quiet and efficient. The room was ample in size for a single. The peace and quiet was a very welcome respite from the busy city noise and being so central, it was ideal to be able to return for a shower or rest during the day. The staff who spoke very good english were friendly and helpful at all times and checked my flights for the next day online and also organisied airport transfer. The simple continental breakfast price was a little expensive at 13 euros. A brief walk away will get you one at around 7 to 12 euros.

the location was excellent - right aside louvre palace, with car parking garage under the square and a nice view at the roofs of st germain l'auxerrois church. the room was very cosy, with floral blankets and enough space for 3 (it was suite though). obviously, 2 min distance from louvre, 7 min from notre dame and 10 - from george pompidou center.

The location is perfect - directy across from the Louvre. The rooms are small (normal for Paris), but very comfortable. There is air conditioning for those hot August days and free wi-fi. The staff are very nice and accommodating.

What I liked best about this hotel is the location--super convenient to public transport, cafes, the Louvre and other tourists stops. The hotel itself is excellent: friendly and accommodating staff, clean and spacious rooms, updated bathrooms, comfortable bed, covered parking available, breakfast available but we chose to get pastries on the go. I would definitely stay here again. There was no view at all from our room, but that didn't matter to us as we were only there to sleep!
