Hôtel Albe Saint Michel is in a central location, in the heart of Paris’ Latin Quarter, by the Seine River. It is 5 minutes from Notre Dame Cathedral and the chic Saint-Germain-des-Prés district.
Score from 608 reviews Very good
In the historic 6th district in central Paris, this hotel offers air conditioned guest rooms with a period décor and a flat-screen TV. It is 650 ft from Mabillon Metro Station.

This stylish 4-star hotel is in the heart of the lively district, the Latin Quarter in the center of Paris, facing Place Saint-Michel and its famous fountain.
Score from 536 reviews Good
In the Parisian Latin Quarter, Hotel Abbatial offers private rooms. It is less than half a mile from the Notre Dame Cathedral and is close to Ile Saint Louis.
Score from 1161 reviews Very good
Very good location.
With temperatures in the 80's, we had no air conditioning for two days. They gave us a fan for the room. We were told each day that it would be fixed--no luck. We had no wi-fi for 24 hours-- no one to fix it. The tub did not drain for the entire 4 day stay. Every time we requested it be fixed we were told they knew nothing about it.
Very nice room but very small with a king size bed ! Cobwebs between the ceiling beam ! Need more attention to details all around. But overall excellent and great location.
The location was great
Wifi was out all the time we were there and only on our last night was I offered to use their computer to check to see if I had any urgent emails. Our shower was mouldy!
Loved this hotel and would recommend to anyone visiting Paris and looking for an ideal location to walk around and take in the Parisian culture. Staff were fantastic also.
*5 star service (I arrived a bit earlier and my room was already ready) *free Wi-Fi and availability to print-out boarding passes *amazing showers *quiet location
individual decor and staff willingness to help with directions and bookings
I had issues with my credit card when I was booking over the phone and the staff member was impatient and rude
Location is excellent, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room we had was unique and quirky adding to the enjoyment of the stay.
It's Paris so the room was small (and we'd upgraded to a larger room), and everything appeared to be just placed in the room without thinking it through - especially the bathroom, for instance the toilet stood several inches off the wall and the toilet roll was on the wall directly behind it. The safe used physical keys rather than the usual pin-pad meaning you had to carry them with you. WiFi was free but unreliable, and required constant re-registering.
Good location close to Notre Dame and metro station, staff was politely, breakfast was nice in the room.
Small hotel with small room lift very small. The room rate quite expensive.
Once we paid for a 2 step-up upgrade, the room was a nice size. The rooms were very clean. The coffee was very good. They never cleaned up the bath or bedroom or took out the trash. We were gone for 5 hours, they knew it, they had our key! We came back tired from standing in lines and walking miles, tried to take a nap and they THEN called to ask if they could make up the room!!! NO! We were depending on the internet to communicate with other members of our group and it did not function! The tiny "lift" quit working and we had to walk up 4 flights of tiny narrow, stairs! So, U cannot recommend the hotel.
See other square!
Old building with lots of flavour. Great location
Air Conditioning lack power to cool the whole room
Friendliness of Staff and location
No gym but that was expected
Henri was very helpful and good enough to speak to us in French!
The Manager Henri was very friendly and most helpful. The location was excellent. Close to the Seine and The Louvre & Notre Dame. Also plenty of excellent restaurants and bars near by.
Air con in rooms could be a bit better
The bed which was the extra for the third person to sleep on was uncomfortable. Not the value for the cost of the room.
The extra /convertible bed was very poor.
Clean and Cute1
Asked for transfer from the airport and did not pick us up, and said this can happen but it was not their problem. Breakfast was poor, and they asked from the previous day if you want to have one.
Very quirky and unique hotel on great central location. Very helpful and friendly hotel staff - would definitely stay again
Complementary bottled water would be welcome added touch
Henri was wonderful, so helpful and gave us great suggestions. Everyone was so kind and helpful.the hotel was beautiful and charming. Definitely will recommend it. Great location. We had a wonderful time. Merci beau coup.
I had a suite that was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was really nice in my room. I like the eclectic decor. My friends stayed in a double room that was stills spacious, but the bathroom was tiny. The convenience of being in that location was a major asset to the stay.
I thought the breakfast was over priced. But it did not matter because there are places to go nearby for coffee.
The rooms are absolutely charming and give you the feeling of being in Paris of the 16th century. Despite the small size of the hotel, the rooms provide lots of room for two. The staff is great and shows this French charme and friendliness that makes you feel welcome right away. The breakfast is fresh and you are served with a big smile and everything you need to start the day perfectly well. All in all, staying in this hotel made our stay in Paris perfect and memorable.
Friendly welcoming and helpful staff, room was great and very comfortable.
Discrepancy on my bill, and problems with a taxi booking
From Halifax, Canada: I was not a sole traveler, but was travelling with my 21 year old grandson. We were very impressed with all aspects of Relais Hotel Vieux Paris. In particular we were impressed with the manager Henri, who was warm, personable, and always willing to help if we had any questions re: sightseeing, etc. On our last day, when a transportation strike occurred, he was able to arrange a van for ourselves and 2 other couples to the airport, without which we would not have made our flights. We loved the cosy, yet elegant atmosphere of the hotel, along with its interesting history. Breakfast every morning in a charming room, with service by two lovely waitresses. We had a suite, which allowed for more space. Highly recommended! Merci a tous a Relais Hotel Vieux Paris!
The bar fridge was not operating in our suite, but this did not take away from our stay in this charming hotel. It was not easy to get a technician.
The location was central to major points and Metro, and was safe to walk around. The area is historic dating back to the 14th century. You could find many restaurants in the immediate area which were not overpriced. You could walk to the Seine, to Notre Dame, to the Latin Quarter. The bed was comfortable, and the staff was always pleasant and friendly.
The furniture was like a bad joke, with bureau drawers that stuck and jammed constantly, and the drawer handles came off (two of them). The closet had a strong magnetic clasp that you had to fight to wrench open. Both the sink and the tub were backed up so that you could not take a bath and had to pause washing your face or brushing your teeth to allow the sink water to go down so that it would not overflow onto the floor. The shower was a mad design that made bathing difficult. It pointed towards a small area of a glass wall that was not sliding and was open, so you froze. My husband stood by so that I would not slip. If you took the shower hose down you would have soaked the bathroom. As it was, it would wet the floor, as the whole business was open. If you'd had to catch yourself, there was nothing there but this glass half-wall's edge. With the tub drain blocked for a number of days with other people's hair and skin cells, taking a bath did not present an attractive or hygienic option. While there were many pluses; charm, central location, these serious functional issues were a daily annoyance and affected our perception of the cleanliness, comfort, and value for the money. They should never rent out a room at top rate without seeing that all is functioning smoothly as it should. There are other boutique hotels in the area that we would try before returning here, even though the people were nice. Functionality in a hotel room is important, especially at the price we were paying, which was the top rate for the hotel. I would also note that the room had windows that opened to the air with no safety panes, only a metal bar between you and a great drop into a courtyard, which is a safety hazard when you are more than three stories up.
Great location; extremely helpful and courteous staff.
Loved most everything! Staff was delightful, helpful, and accommodating. Location superior. Breakfast very reasonable. WiFi free. Will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it. It's a very old building and quite charming but be prepared for smaller rooms than you might be used to and a tiny elevator. Great location in St Germain Des Pres 1/2 block from Seine..Short walk to metro, short walk to Notre Dame, St Chapelle, Luxembourg Gardens. Bistros, brasseries, jazz clubs within walking distance. Paris at it's best!
