Hotel Renaissance    

The hotel is a one-off with each room having a different theme. The location was excellent as it was just off the main square and only a 20 minute walk from Castres Rugby Ground and 12 minutes from the railway station. The food market on Saturday morning was amazing.

The town in winter closes down almost completely on Sunday. Only way to get breakfast was to have it in the hotel and this seemed quite expensive at 12 euro although it was a very good buffet.

We spent four nights at the hotel. It is right in the city centre, but because it is in a narrow medieval street there is no passing traffic so very quiet. The decor is brilliant, with the foyer and landings full of interesting objects and period furniture. Each room has a different theme, and ours (I think the best) was "exotic" - brilliant parrot wallpaper, little birds perched on wall lights, (toy) toucan in a cage, plus very comfortable four-poster bed. Everywhere very clean, nice bathroom with bath and shower. Staff very friendly and helpful, and excellent English. Could not have asked for a better hotel!

Nothing. We were a little worried on arrival as the car keys had to be handed over so car could be garaged somewhere, but the car was always returned to us on time when we needed it to go out.

The location and friendly staff plus really comfortable beds.

Weird decor. Overseas theme (in this case Chinese room) OK but Hotel Welcome in Brussels does it much better with less kitsch and no mannequins around. Scarlet wallpaper covered in flamingoes a bit hard to take! Shower within bath with sloping bottom a real health hazard fo the more mature punter!

Large rooms, big beds and functioning AC for August day of 100 degrees! Really ancient building. Breakfast ample and staff very helpful with car parking,

Room service and bar were closed( in August?) If this were noted on booking site we would not have been so disappointed. Breakfast costs extra. No AC in public rooms and not turned on in hot breakfast room. Hotel more 'funky' than posh.

Really friendly staff, good location and fair price. Excelent breakfast, that is not common in France!

This hotel was situated in the town of Castres.It had charming character, well priced . The staff very friendly. Valet parking was easy.

the only negatrive , was no lift, but in a character buiding like this, it was not really expected!

Wow! what a great place to stay. The decor,was amazing the proprietors and staff were lovely, the room absolutely superb. We will return another time. Superb.

Staff were very helpful. Central location. Themed rooms were a nice touch.

Hard to find with a car, as the roads around it are so narrow!

- L'étroitesse de la salle de bains, - la baignoire, au lieu d'une douche, plus facilement accessible, - pas de siège, même pliable, dans la salle de bains et pas de barre pour se relever des toilettes - le prix du parking, un peu cher, et non accessible sans restrictions

l'ensemble de l’hôtel , rien à redire : la chambre est très propre , le personnel souriant , le petit déjeuner très copieux et pour finir les propriétaires sont très super

L'accueil, le charme et le soin apporté à satisfaire le client. Le service du voiturier et le garage en zone piétonne. La qualité de la literie et celle du petit-déjeuner excellent, copieux et varié

La chambre un peu petite pour nos grands gabarits mais c'était la dernière disponible et la moins chère ce jour là. Difficulté de trouver un bon restaurant ouvert un Lundi soir en hiver, mais là l'hôtel y est pour rien !!!

Hotel à la déco étonnante. Cela change de ces hôtels tellement formatés... Petit dej copieux. Si votre séjour tombe le dernier vendredi du mois, soirée jazzy, avec orchestre, au bar de l'hôtel.
