The balcony looking at the water was heaven! The room is spacious and clean. Every staff member we engaged with was friendly and helpful - even fun! The location to town is perfect.

The good: Flamingos! Miles of beaches. Great places to go walking. Amigoland, though expensive, is fun for kids of all ages - even those in their forties. You can rent motorboats and jetskis in town. For connections, its not far from Montpellier or Marseille.
The bad: Restaurants are poor in LGdR. From French to Italian to Asian they all disappointed. Mosquitoes are tenacious all around this area due to miles and miles of open shallow water.
Personal verdict: go somewhere else instead.

The property was a little tired, Im glad I took my own bedding and towels. I am used to staying in 5 star hotels and whilst I knew this was far from 5 stars, I was disappointed to find plastic sheets on the beds. It so reminded me of an out dated Butlins holiday camp room

there‘s a lot of things to do like go shopping or eat there, bathe, go to the amigoland and accept your death (-> adrenalin), go to the „plage de l‘espiguette“ but we wouldn‘t recommend walking if you’re not dangerously suicidal, since the heat will burn you alive in the 2h you need to get there - rather borrow a bike and ride it together.

A very pleasant Meditteranean resort, plus the inhabitants are friendly and welcoming. Access and parking are easy.
Not sure about the food. It's good, if not inspiring. Le Grau-du-Roi is not a gastronimic destination, but that's not a reason to avoid it. The place is such a pleasant destination.

Lovely touristy little town near to a natural park.
Lovely touristy little town near to a natural park. It had a nice atmosphere of a small marine town and lovely restaurants, however it was way too busy and overcrowded at times. The public transport from and to the town was very poor and it is difficult to access without a car. Ideal for short breaks, not so good for longer stays.

Grau-du-Roi is a very touristy place that caters to budget travelers. The shopping district is gaudy and filled with cheap souvenirs, little trinkets and vulgar clothes. Ice cream shops and churros shops abound.
The beach is basic and very crowded in summer months. Traffic and parking are horrendous. Restaurants are expensive and mostly serve seafood.
Aigues-Mortes, which is 4.5 kms away, is a much nicer town to visit and stay in.
Good location in quiet appartment complex. Aircon was good in the hot summer weather. Parking was easy onsite. The property was well laid out and they kindly provided some basics such as coffee, oil, vinegar, salt and pepper. The beach was 5 minutes walk and there were plenty of shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. The re was plenty to do nearby - Auguilles mortes is a nice twon 10 minutes drive and the Parc Ornothologique in Carmargue 30 mins drive was excellent as was Stes Maries sur la mer
Location was great. On a lovely beach and facilities were fab. Static caravan had no bathroom or water but we’re new this on booking. It’s just like camping, we just didn’t take our tent! Everything was supplied including kitchen utensils, bedding, microwave and 2 gas burning hobs. we had a great time
Excellent location 5 minutes walk to the beautiful beach.
If you bring your dog there is a park directly opposite for walks.
The apartment was very well equipped, comfortable spotlessly clean and so peaceful.
For the car there is a private parking space.
The hotel is situated just across the calm street on the beach
Very nice and helpful staff
Bathtube in very modern bathroom
Minibar fridge available
Just a minute walk from the evening markets
If possible, definitely book a sea-view room
great position overlooking beach and promenade. nice restaurant with good food and wine choices. we stayed in second floor studio which was generally well equiped and adequate
Location was great, hotel was very clean, nice patio to eat outside and staff was great and went above and beyond to make me a gluten free breakfast. Loved it!
The balcony was very nice and spacious for 4 people. The position and the distance to the beach was very good. The beach it is nice and the water was warm.
