Fantastic hotel, loved the design in each room. The staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly. Very reasonable, room was not as small as I had expected for the price. The bathroom smelt a little but otherwise the room was very clean. |

Great staff and very quirky decor. Plus near 2 metro stations so great location. Tiniest lift possible so if claustrophobic, forget it. Rooms not sound proof so be prepared with ear plugs. |

The staff were very friendly indeed and happy to help which for me, is so important. The room was absoulutely fine for us as we only stayed one night but for longer stays, I don't think we would have been too comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and the hotel is decorated in a very individual way which was nice! Size of bed and you can hear everything from the rooms next door. |

The location was excellent, two stops from Gare du Nord and close to the places we like to visit. The room was clean and pleasant and the staff were friendly. The lift is exceptionally small and would be impractical for guests with a lot of luggage. |

Ease of access to metro. Liked the feeling of being in a community rather than a tourist area with bistros and local shops. Very welcoming staff. Scrupulously clean bathroom. A bit noisy but good double glazing. |

Good location, close to Republique Metro-Station, with lines to the major sites of the city - easy to get around. Clean and nicely decorated rooms. Thin walls, you could hear the neighbour snoring... Small rooms with a small shower and the bed was also not too big. Good hotel for small people, bigger people might get problems. |

Everything was functional in the room. The only negative was the bed, which sagged in the middle, but luckily it was only for 1 night. Breakfast room was a bit pokey. |

It was very basic, which I expected, the elevator isn't usable for anyone larger, as there was barily enough room for myself and my luggage (think coffin going up), which I also expected. I was fine with it, but my travel companion was surprised by how basic and small it was (I tried to warn her--we ended up moving to a 4* after three nights--she paid for it!), so it may not be good for anyone who expects anything more than somewhere to put your head. However, having said that, I didn't mind it at all, it was cute and cheap (for Paris). It was a bit loud at night, but that wasn't the hotel's fault, it was just loud people out at night. Closing the windows (which were large and new), blocked out most of any noise there was. The noise from people outside was I think magnified by the alley where our windows were, but that's just about all I didn't like. It was definitely budget, but you get what you pay for! |

Close to Metro, cafes, and local life, rather than just tourists.Easy for centre ,Montmatre and Marais areas. Tiny lift -not for the claustrophobic.!Spiral staircase made carrying luggage to 4th floor a challenge. |

The Price The Matress was the worst one I've ever slept on. The walls were so thin I could hear every word coming from the next room. Every single floor board squeaked. |

The Staff was very helpfull and the room I stayed was more than enough for one person. The lift didn't bothered me that much because I stayed at the first floor. |

Staff was helpful. Rooms were as expected - compact, with all facilities. We had no problems during our stay. The street has no traffic - but there were a couple of late-night revellers... Overall not unreasonable for a downtown location. A good serve-yourself breakfast for €8 - cereals, yoghurt, meat, cheese, fruit, etc. Loved the elevator! |

The decor was eclectic and funky with a different kind of twist. It was located not far from a metro station and had restaurants and banks near by as well. Good hotel for a young couple or younger groups of friends. The lift was tiny and at night i could hear everything in the rooms around me, as well as on the street below my room. One of the restaurants near by was cooking fish and because of the no a/c my windows were open, making my room smell like fish as well. And there were a lot of homeless morning sleeping down the alley from the hotel in the morning when I went to go to the bank.Oh, thats another thing, the front door is locked so you have to go around to the "alley" to get in to the hotel. As a young woman travelling alone, I probably wouldn't stay there again if I was by myself, but with a group or friends, it was great. |

Quirky, funky little hotel with lots of characters. Loved all the buddhas and fun pics throughout the hotel. We stayed in the British room (by total coincidence) and ended up sleeping with the queen! (her head was on the pillow). Very tiny lift so typically French. Great location - 15 minutes walk from Gare du Nord and very close to Canal St Martin. Friendly staff. Will definitely recommend. |
