Republique Hotel  

Hotel has very good location - 2 minutes to the metro station. Very nice hotel with good trained personal.

Room was too small, but clean. Wall very thin so you can hear what is happening in the nearest rooms.

I give it a five stars because it has the world smallest elevator. Its only fit one person and a bag max. This place has no air conditioning. I traveled in April when it was 3-10C , so it was not a matter to me. There was a heater in my room but it didnt work. The room and bathroom is tiny. Its a cute, budget friendly place for young people. I will not recommand for travelers who doesnt like to climb the stairs but my overall experience was pleasant! Centrally located in a safe neighborhood and 3 min walking to the metro.

I wish my heater worked.

I really like the kindness of the staff. Nice decoration. The location really close to the metro station and in a quite street.

Only a note on the bahroom showed in the hotel pictures on the website. There is only one room which has this renovated bathroom.

Central location - 3 metro stations within walking distance allowed us to go all over Paris. Nice large Family room for 4 - a double and two twin beds just off the main room. Buffet breakfast was only 8 euros per person - lots of choice (cold food only) and very fresh.

Lift was only for 1 person - our room was on the 6th floor.

Near republic station

Really tiny elevator. Some pictures in the room,but it scared to me.

Location was great. We were right by the republic metro stop, which is difficult to make transfers from with a stroller because of all the stairs, but overall a great station. Wouldn't suggest the Boulanger by the hotel, they were quite rude, but there is a great one by Allhambria parking garage, and an even better one on your way out of the republic circle as you walk towards the Louvé.

This was our third trip to Paris with three kiddos is tow, so we knew the hotel rooms can be small, so that was no surprise. But the man at the desk gave us a really hard time about having our two year old with us, he kept on saying the room was only for four people, and even though we said it wouldn't be a problem, she would just sleep with us- he almost looked like he was so annoyed he might take away the room. We finally talked him into it, but really! It wasn't even a bad situation until he made it one. Also, we weren't happy with the room decòr- it had an inappropriate picture hung -one of Lady Gaga in our kids room (we hung a blanket over it). And Che Guevara pictures everywhere. Anyways, won't be staying there again!

This hotel is pricey, disgusting and I will never recommend anyone to stay here. - the room stank of mould - poorly cleaned - loose tiles and vermin in the bathroom - the hairdryer was taped together - the staircaise was soft, like if the steps were rotten - the pictures is misguiding - really thin walls - hard to find (but maybe that's not a bad thing, considering the standard)

It's really cool to see celebrities picture in the rooms and lobby areas. Suitable for family with teenager . Overall its good .

The lift lobby as 1 luggage per person it's really uncomfortable who has more 5 luggage . Not suitable for elder people .

Staff spoke English and very helpful with location and advise. Could not hear a sound after dark as the hotel is just off the main road. Good location for the metro. Small English super marker just next door.

the wi-fi didn't work at the 6th floor, the heating didn't work at night (nov nights can be chilly), the shower had a leak and the over-all felling was of something very old in a costume... I don't know who decided to categorized it as a "design" hotel, but it's not accurate.

Terrible hotel. The lifting is really small, claustrophobic people should avoid it. Besides the signal of non-smoking at the room, it was strongly smelling cigar smoke. There was no douche, just a bath. Room too dark and no enough light. The hotel should pass to a significantly renew if wishes to be at least reasonable.

Great location, decent rooms for a decent price and nice interior.

WiFi didn't work as it should've

Centrally situated - all major attractions in Paris can easily be reached by Metro or even by feet. Breakfast was surprisingly complete (in french terms) and for "just" 8€ - what is a more than fair price in Paris!

They mentionned 20€ a day to park the car... In facts it's 28/30 € a day... They should adapt that in the description of the hotel as it's a entire part of the whole cost of your stay...

Hotel is located on a quite side street just 1 minute away from Republique square with a huge subway station. The center of the city is just 10-15 minutes of walk away and by center I mean Pompidu museum, Le Marais, Rue de Rivoli etc.

Rooms, walkways, bathrooms are extremely tiny. But it is typical for Paris.

On the first morning about 12:00 somebody from the room cleaning service persistently tried to get into our room and even opened the door with the duplicate of door key while we were sleeping. This was awfull.

The elevator was so tiny that i couldnt even breath. The staff hardly spoke english so were never able to understand or provide any help. The room smelt like someone had been smoking there for God knows how many years. The blanket was dirty with clearly visible white stains that looked like someone ejaculated on it and it was never washed. Every time we were in the room it felt so dirty that I never took my socks off my feet except when i had to shower.

Very bad Hotel. Next to it theres a bar or disco, something like that. I could not sleeep well the two nights. Also, the rooms are very ugly, not so clean, and nothing comfort at all. I know Paris is expensive, but this hotel is way to expensive for what its is offered. Actually I had a little fear to stay there.

i had booked two tripple rooms - one tripple room was ok but the other one (62) was actually a small double room with an extra bed for the same price. The bed was hardly accessible and partially under the table. The staff did not agree to discount the price and i feel to be mishandled. lot of homeless people, just at the door, shouting through the night preventing us from sleep

Very cool hotel at a good location, close the to the metro so quite easy to reach the main attractions. Rooms are small, but good value for the price, nothing luxurious but unique look and design. The hotel elevator is a "must see".
