First of all the location. It isn't too far from the old city of Avignon but it isn't exactly convenient ever. After sunset we used a taxi instead of walking as didn't exactly feel completely safe.
Then the accommodation. Staff is okay, although with limited English therefore it is difficult to make one be understood considering my limited French. It isn't that I expect everyone to speak English but in a place where there are lots of tourists some basic English would be useful by the staff in the reception.
Room: our room smelt so badly that I almost puked, then I realised its every room, after checking with the neighbours because of the drain smells in the bathroom something horribly.
The bed is super uncomfortable, the pillows were flat and disgusting, my arms were more comfortable than the pillows. The blankets smelled so badly and were so disgusting I didn't even want to touch them. The kitchen is in the same room as the bed, but the kitchen smells greasy, the fridge is very loud.
There was no air conditioning, so in 38 degrees summer heat the room the boiling. It was truly awful.
The bathroom was disgusting, mold everywhere, sewage smell and it only had a tiny shower cubicle with a shower curtain so disgusting that I didn't touch it in case my arm will rot.
No toiletries, not even soap!
The towels are small; threadbare, they have been probably used by 1,000s before us.
Wifi: Non-existent. There is no wifi in the rooms anyway only in the tiny little communal area on the ground floor next to the office/reception room. But even that wifi is awfully slow and useless.
There was no vending machine for water, and the water from the tap was disgusting.
One sorry affair of a vending machine serving Coca Cola, Fanta and some chocolates.
Nothing! It was one of the worst places I have ever stayed! It was so horrible that after enduring an awfully uncomfortable night we have left the next morning as soon as the sun was up!
