1. Old style of bathroom; sleepery and there are no toiletries. 2. Only one staff (max) is friendly and accommodating. 3. It was very noisy at night. Seems that the staff are having party every night .
I stayed in a double room and the first impression from the room was good, clean and decent size, big bathroom, no noise as it was overlooking the back court.
Around 2am I woke up with a companion - bed bugs - I was badly bitten all over and they were crawling in the bed, fat and full of blood as I killed some of them. I took all my stuff and went straight away down to the reception where I stayed till the morning. The receptionist said that was the first case they've ever had which obviously was not true as I am reading other reviews now which unfortunately I didn't do prior booking as I was in a hurry and the top 3 ones I saw was all positive. The bed bugs might not be in all the rooms but I definitely wouldn't take the risk if I knew. When I went back home I had to do a thorough disinfestation process as taking this into your house would be a disaster. And this is really easy as I found one bedbug in my t- shirt 30 min after I went to the reception. Breakfast was ridiculous for the amount of 8 eur - a croissant, a bun of bread, a mini pack of butter, a mini jam and filter coffee. Area is dirty and dodgy in the night which was not a problem for me but would not fit everyone. WiFi is good only until midnight. I got refunded finally but this doesn't make things better.
Close to nord station
But not good neighbourhood, marcocan people look strange to you in the street of the hotel and try to sell drugs to you, couldnt sleep because it was to noisy, room was not cleaned well,we found a sock and strawberry in the room
- walking distance from Montmartre - easy access to all city centre sites using metro - wifi usable in bedrooms - good supply of hot water in showers - good value but basic room & adequate but not varied breakfast
- location intimidating for a woman on her own walking back at night - lots of young men congregating on street corners
Nice location, if travel through Paris Nord station.
There are a little bit noisy at the street at the evening
Staff Value for money Clean room Location near to gare du nord and sacre coer Free wifi
The neighbourhood is not so cool and a bit unsafe for i heard there were pick pockets but i experienced no bad incident, though ppl in the street kept warning us.
good price for paris clean perfect for sightseeing close to metro + trains
area outside a bit dangerous better taking a cab at night
Friendly staff, nice room, good location, good value for money.
The breakfast was a complete waste of money and the WiFi was very bad.
Quiet, clean room. Near to Nord and Est railwaystation. Nice staff.
Wifi is just in the lobby. The bathroom needs a reconstruction.
The feeling you get knowing that you'll never be back is priceless.
If you book this place you will regret it. I booked 5 nights in Sept and ended up booking another hotel for one night just to get a break from this weird and smelly place. The rooms had nothing positive about them (cold and substandard) with no place to keep your clothes and the breakfast was bare minimum. When I got there the room smelled and you couldn't walk on the floor without shoes. The nearby streets are not safe. Wifi didn't work well in our room.
Staff were friendly and even had a sense of humour and were very helpful despite a slight language barrier, good standard of breakfast and overall inside the hotel was fine. Was very close to the Gare Du Nord to access the rest of the city.
The locality- there was a very menacing and dangerous atmosphere about the place, we felt very unsafe even during daytime walking around the streets and as a result we decided not to venture out after dark denying us the sight of seeing Paris at night, the noise of the trains outside the windows could be very irritating at times and general noise of the already mentioned bad area we were in.
It was perfectly average accomodation. Don't expect anything more than absolute basics. Also don't expect the staff to be professional
We were told that we weren't allowed eating in our room. Ridiculous!! It's a hotel. The street outside was packed with men brawling most nights and as the window was the only ventilation you had no choice but to leave it open.
We feel like in american movie about gang street boys. A little adventurous. But we did't feel dangerous. It's a cheap area. Was an unexpected experience for real life
A strong smell of urine near metro station,barbes-rochechouir. Very much loud. Can't sleep with open window
The room look decent, spacious and clean ( apart from toilet)
Had 3 rooms my parents occupied one and they were bit and still dealing with dermatologist, location/area terrible dirty dodgy young European woman should stay away. We complained about the spell in one room and we were told that they have quest from all over the world who smell different (quite rude remark) and breakfast is rationed and was quite dissapointing, very poor wifi
Very clean , all of hotel staff are polite, can have western union next to the door .
we had bed bugs in the room they are moving tour personal things and clothes they took our personal towels to be washed without asking and they didn't knew after which ones are ours - finally they gave the towels all wet and dirty they are removing furniture from the bedroom while you are still in the hotel breakfast is minimal and is the same thing every morning
- I have no problem with anything during my stay. The quality of service was good. - WiFi was very good - On Wednesday there was a nice market just in front of hotel.
- Do not expect very clean and nice-looking rooms. But they are not bad! - The neighbourhood is like a meeting point for all the immigrants from this part of Paris. If you do not feel comfortable with meeting them, it is probably not for you. For me, it was completely ok and do not see it as a drawback, but you could.
The hotel was very convenient for the Gare de Nord and the people were friendly and helpful.
The rooms were a bit basic and tired and the area not the best although it served its purpose providing a cheap night's accomodation in Paris.
The room didn't match the description (e.g. there was no bathroom door). Renovation work was carried out during the stay without consulting with the guests and they damaged some of our equipment. Hotel told us incorrect information about the possibility of parking in the surrounding area and we have got serious problem with the police. The 'breakfast' - 1 croissant, 1 bun, small jam, coffee or chocolate and half of the napkin.
Hotel is close to metro station Clean - towels changed daily, bed made up, no problem with sanitary in general Rooms and bathroom recently redecorated
Neigbourhood is not too safe - full of ethnic people who gather on the streets each evening The bed was awful - like a bathtub, definitely broken. We were in room 14 bis on floor 5 Doors are very thin. You can hear people next door
Good breakfast, included in price
The double/triple room was well furnished, clean and comfortable and breakfast was basic but good enough at the price.
On arrival I was told that there was a problem with some of the rooms and, while the rest of the party could be accommodated, I would have to spend the night at another hotel down the road. The other hotel was not of an equivalent standard - no en-suite, shabby damp room etc. so I asked for another solution. They eventually put us all in a triple room for the night and rather stingily refunded the difference between double + single rooms and triple. On the second night I was given my own room where all seemed to be well until I woke up the next morning covered in dozens of bites (bed bugs?). I emailed the hotel yesterday morning to let them know about this and have not heard back as yet.
Friendly and very helpful reception staff. Quiet back yard with outdoor seating. Very good for the price. Positioned on the doorstep of Paris on the south edge of Montmartre. Easy access to Metro.
We had two different rooms, one of which was cleaned very nicely - the other not (lack of proper training of cleaning staff?). Some of the lighting didn't work. Faulty shower-head holder. Irritating small things that could be sorted out with a minimum of expense.
It was too small and shower door is half, so it doesnt close. TV channels were all in french. Itss bit pricey for what it is
Close to the metro station and train station.
Very basic rooms (could do with bit more cleaning too) Strange neighbourhood Door from bathroom wouldn't shut Wifi didn't seem to work Only one lamp in the room was working, the other lights /bulbs weren't! For breakfast all you get is a croissant and coffee, so I wouldn't recommend paying extra for breakfast . We were really dissapointed with the hotel.
