As this time I spent a bit more time inside, I noticed the railway is very close and the trains get a bit noisy in the morning. Also the walls are quite thin and there's not much of a view.
All this stuff doesn't matter, as during the Festival, one would spend normally just a few hours in the room, to catch a short night sleep.
This goes for the whole city: it's annoying that the prices double during any major festival (film, advertising, etc) and also grow year by year.
I paid almost 900 Euro for 8 nights, for a room that in a "no festival" period would cost less than 400.
But that's the way the cookie crumbles, in the end :)
This is my 2nd time here, the 1st one was last year, also for the Cannes Lions Festival. The location is awesome - the beach is 2 min away, as well as the Italian Cafe and 10 other restaurants (French, Italian, Moroccan, Greek) and various pizza and sandwiches buffets. The Palais de Festivals is a 10-15 min walk away, across the Marina, depending on your walking mood. The apartment has everything you need inside - a full kitchen desk, washing machine, iron, air conditioning, TV, free WiFi.
Ideal for a solo traveler or a young couple.
