spectacular view across the City. Quiet location but central. Elegant setting with trees around. Friendly helpful staff. Bedrooms are small apartments with fridge, microwave and sink. All in excellent condition. Good sized bathroom.

The location of the Villemanzy, while on a rather steep hill, is great for exploring the traboules of the Croix Rousse... and then heading down into the Preque'ile or Vieux Lyon for more exploration. The triple room (#24) was almost comically large -- and refreshing change from tiny hotel rooms in larger cities. A beautiful view over the Rhone during the day is a bonus!

The location was perfect for a weekend trip in Lyon, located in the heart of the area called la Croix Rousse it is a few steps away from the old town, the pedestrian and shopping area and a metro stop. If offers free parking which is great in Lyon if you come by car!!!. The staff has been extremely friendly and helpful, they even alowed us to leave the car in the parking the day of the check out until 4PM, the check-out time was 11AM. The building is a ex military hospital transformed in an apart-hotel and it is somehow an interesting place. We were in a double room. The room is definitely not big but fine for a couple, the bed is small (French standard) but comfortable. Room also has a full kitchen which might be good in case of longer stays. It is definitely not a luxury place but a perfect location for a short visit of lyon and we would be back.

Nothing really negative for us. It looks like the rooms are not equipped with air conditioning so if goign there in summer it could be very warm.

I was asked if I wanted "Extra cleaning". I said no, but later found it there was no cleaning if you don't choose extra cleaning.

The accommodations were very nice and the staff was excellent.

Excellent location, walking distance to downtown, close to public transportation network. Silent and quiet. Right-value breakfast with fresh pastry every morning. Exceptional staff availability (a receptionist moved her car from the parking to free a place for me) Superior room very comfortable, with small kitchen.

Brilliant view. Warmth of reception staff.

We had a great view over the river Rhone from our room. The room was spacious and comfortably slept the 3 of us adults. The rate we paid was good value. The advantage of the residence style is that you have your own kitchenette to prepare breakfast or simple meals so you can be independent and not have to eat out all the time. Saying that, the breakfast at €8 was fine and reasonable value. No hesitation recommending this hotel. The hotel is conveniently located only a few mins walk from the Hotel de Ville metro (convenient for central Lyon and to/from the airport - get the Rhone Express from the airport to Vaulx-en-Velin La Soie station metro line A). However be prepared to walk up a very steep hill to get to the hotel!

The only drawback to this hotel is that there is no air conditioning. That's not a big deal most of the time but we did stay during the end of a heatwave in Lyon so it was a bit warm at night.

It is a residency so you get a small kitchenette. The rooms were clean, equipment seemed new and the bed was nice and big.

Style of building and fantastic location

No frills, brilliant location for access to best of Lyon. V.g. parking Accommodation w. kitchen facilities - hadn't realised that, so could have taken more advantage of the possibilities. Would go there again

Excellent location. This hotel is located at the heart of the UNESCO world heritage city with close proximity to restaurant, convenient stores, cafes, tourist attractions, public transport and the view from the room overlooking the old Lyon is unforgettable!
