Score from 1068 reviews Very good
Pleasant location and helpful staff. Good attached bar in which to unwind after a long day on the road
Enjoyed a good evening meal in the adjacent restaurant. The starter and dessert buffets were particularly good. We love being able to watch the ferries going in and out of the port, so a good location for that.
The room was fine. Bed comfortable, decor and facilities okay.
The lobby seemed to be a storage area. Tiles floor in lobby so any movement audible in bedrooms. It cost 10 euros for the dog - we were not told about that. It increased the bill by 20% which seems excessive. For that charge I expect a dog bed and feeding bowls to be provided ;-)
Hotel was well situated, by the beach and quiet.plenty parking space. Towels supplied. Kitchen was all clean. We had a nice continental breakfast, which was plentifull. We also had a meal on saturday night, at the restaurant next door where the food was excellent and service was very good.would go again.
The only draugh back was double mattress in room 330 had a VERY large and deep sinking hole. A new mattress is really needed!
Close to the eurotunnel cheap get what u pay for good just to rest your head after a long drive across England.. Wifi
Kind of hard to find, bed isn't comfortable, the lighting at the restaurant next door is on all night and it is hard to get to sleep with a bright light in your room. But I guess that depends on the room your in. The guy who runs the office kept staring at us to see if we were going to waste any breakfast food maybe cause we had two young children. But that was just annoying always being stared at like your doing something wrong.
On site parking, location, and restaurant next door.
Interior needs an up date.
The location is close to the ferry terminal so giving you a great place to stop the night and recharge your batteries for the forward journey .
Not very happy with the restaurant side , the staff were not very responsive together with a poor choice of food we will not be dining there again
Good room facilities, my room had lovely sea views. Quiet location next to the beach. Good value for the price. The restaurant at the sister hotel next door is good value too.
It wasn't a problem for me but if you can't manage the stairs, remember to ask for a room on the ground floor.
We have stayed many times it's basic but clean, the staff are friendly and the breakfast is better than average. A super overnight hotel or for a weekend shopping trip tp Cite' Europe
The Cups in the rooms
Excellent location. Right on the seafront. Stroll and watch the ferries come and go. 15 min walk to Calais Central. Restaurant was good. Good choice of menu and drinks. Staff very good and not pushy.
Room was a little tired but let's be honest for the price what do you expect. Fridge and microwave a bonus.
Location, near motorway to ferries and chunnel, pets allowed free of charge, overall if you don't have expectation it's a good price (46€ family room + dog)
They tried to put us in the 1star hotel next to the golf residence, in a claustrophobic room. After our complains they moved us in the golf residence which is definitely below 3S standard, booking pictures are deceiving. Rooms are small dirty and old (wc painting pealing off and filthy). Lights bulbs not working, we only had the side table lights. overll ok for one cheep emergency night.
Good space in room, bath, separate loo. Breakfast good choice of continental plus deli meats and cheese. Fab position for walking along the beach.
€72, not the billed €42 was the B&B cost, with an extra €8 for the dog, which is a bit steep as he doesn't use any facilities such as towels, linen, or create mess. Double bed too narrow and rather hard. Kitchen not equipped. All clean but a bit tacky: kettle didn't work, soap holder falling off wall; thin floor coverings throughout mean you hear every suitcase bumping downstairs. €42-50 all in would have been better val
The staff were very friendly, the breakfast was very good. The room was very comfortable
The kitchen area provided a microwave, kettle and fridge. It seemed very strange not to have cutlery and plates/bowls/mugs .
We had a very limited supply of hot water in the evening and none in the morning. Renovation materials left in the areas outside the doors for people to fall over and we were not informed accordingly.
Cleanness Comfy Beds Tea Coffee Facilities Quite Good Bath Towels Breakfast Facilities Friendly staff
Wifi kept cutting out. Only enough tea and coffee for 1 cup each. Milk too small Toilet cubical too small for disabled person Toilet door did not close properly due door strip loose Bunk Beds too close to the door No cooking facilities for the cooker.
Excellent location, lovely views from our room. Would be perfect for a family stay, especially because the kitchenette is modern and easy to use. Friendly staff (also in the restaurant next door), pleasant experience, will try to come back.
Car park slightly difficult to find.
We've stayed here before on another over nighter to Calais and the staff are always pleasant and helpful. We even got a room with a sea view onto the Channel. The hotel is well situated for a special visit to the restsurant Aquar'Aile. Recommend this unreservedly.
Hotel is excellent value for money but is now in need of a little TLC.
We have stayed at Residence du Golf several times and the location is fantastic just 5 minutes from the ferry port, close to the beach with a brilliant park next door to give children that have been cooped up in the car somewhere to stretch their legs. The rooms are spacious offering great accomodation for our party of four and the breakfast is great value as kids eat for free.
We chose not to eat in the resturant as the menu and atmosphere does not seem right for the evening, instead we walk along the front to Alexandras which is lovely.
Location, car parking, convenience for ferries and excellent neighbouring restaurant.
Nothing, provided you understand that this is a budget hotel.
Close to port
No Kettle, when enquired about it was told they were taking them out of rooms anyway!
Dirty bathroom, lights didn't work-2 or 3.
location, free parking, good breakfast (for 7.90euros each!)
scruffy, building work going on, had to go next door to check in, no utensils at all in kitchenette.
The location was good and handiness to the port convenient
The room had hardly anything that didn't have something wrong with it. The shower was shabby and the toilet had a drip. The microwave should have been thrown out ages ago. Of most concern two electrical sockets were coming away from the wall. Having a microwave and hot plates with nothing to cook with is ridiculous.
Traveled with 3 young children, hotel provided a cot and bunk bed. Room was just what we needed with a small kitchenette (we did not use) but nice to have.
