The location was the only good thing about this hotel. Being the first time to Paris I don't know what other accommodations in the area look like but I can honestly say one of the guests staying with me cried when we saw the "accommodations".
There was mold around the tub, holes in the wall, and our door would not stay shut without slamming it then deadbolting it. The linen was very old and the king size bed was two single beds pushed together that would not stay together. Fell though the two beds at least twice that night.
Good hotel, nice location, surrounded by restaurants, and right around the corner from a theater and a metro station. Staff was nice, most spoke English. Room was decent, beds were good enough to get a good night sleep.
A little far from touristy places, but perfect if you want to avoid those areas. Stairs in family suite steep, small, and creaked loudly. Parking situation not ideal, but kind of expected in a big city.
We were pleasantly surprised with the hotel. It is great located, 2 mins away from the closest metro and close to Montparnasse. Breakfast was good, better than expected and it is worth having it as most of the cafes near the hotel are quite expensive or closed at breakfast. The bed was very comfortable and rooms are cosy. I would recommend it to everyone.
The staff serving breakfast didn't speak English and it was difficult to communicate. The rooms are a bit old.
excellent location,stuff very helpful
nothing bad to say
Location relatively good
Rude and non helpful Staff, no services, no bell man, no wi-fi, no facilities, no elevator for suites, no room service except cleaning, very bad to carry your luggage for tow floors through 60 cm wide stairs !!!!!! simply don't ever think to go there.
Not too many fruit options in the morning, orange jus was bad
Location is excellant , nice staff Great back yard
Verry poor furniture. Not suitible for family of 5 thought we booked a "suit" for five because the room was shown as a room for 5 at the web site There is no room for an extra bed. This was a graet diappoitment.
Room was good, very clean, full size fridge, safe, air conditioning, small bath, fantastic water pressure in shower! We had a two level suite off a courtyard where the children could safely play. Friendly staff, location ideal for restaurants, bars, shopping and the metro. Fantastic value for money.
Wifi spotty. Breakfast poor value but you don't need to take it surrounded by endless cafe's and parking...hideous
great location' nice backyard kint staff
verry poor hotel' half of the lamps in room dont work, very old ferneture our room was seen at booking.com as a suit for 5 peoplie but in fact it was a room for 4 there was no place for our youngest it was very disapointing
The staff were great, understood my broken French and also spoke English. We were able to leave our luggage there early in the morning when we arrived in Paris while our room was prepared and we did some sightseeing. We were also allowed to leave luggage at the hotel the next day even though we had checked out. It is left in an unlocked but closed cupboard near reception so we didn't leave any valuables in. The hotel is close to some nice restaurants that do breakfast etc all day - we used the Odessa - and at this hotel you are also very close to Metro stations. The hotel itself is on a quiet road with our room (suite is quite a generous term for the room we had) on the inside of the building so there was no traffic noise. The suite had a fridge, safe, bathroom and separate loo. Air conditioning worked, bed for the kids was a sofa bed which was fine but probably would have not given anyone over the age of 12 a good nights sleep. We were all so exhausted from our jam packed day that we slept like logs for 11 hours. The rooms could definitely do with being updated, and I suspect the bed covers (not sheets) needed a wash, but overall it was a good stay - pricey for the time of year though.
Price. Bed covers.
Helpful sraff. willing to help for local within city travel as well as accomodating in terms of additional requirements. Our daughter was recovering from a fracture and they catered to a bigger room on the ground floor.
In house telephone system needs to be upgraded it's basic . Internet facility in the room is average, connectivity needs to be better.
Nothing. very costly
To much money. And not even provide breakfast. Room was very small. We will not recommend to any one.
the worst hotel I have stayed in
It was available.
Very poorly maintained. Staff unaware of hotel offering.
Very bad experience air conditioning not working for the breakfast we had not wait 1 hour and the tables were not cleaned for 30 mins and the people don't speak in the right way
Quiet apartment in convenient location - close to metro and Montpenasse station for access to Versailles. Surrounded by superb creperies!
Parking is not 18€/day but 34€/day. Room: continous sound of 'metro', old & dirty bed sheets, safe and small refrigerator did not work, ... We are still wondering how they got a 3* rating. In short: way too expensive.
I booked the hotel the eve of the day I checked in. I had never stayed at Montparnasse. What a great surprise! The staff was very helpfull; the hotel is very kid friendly (I travelled with a toddler) and the room was very nice: big tub, double sink, spacious. I had a 2 story room, and it looked like a little village in Paris. The location is just perfect: about 30m of a metro station and 100m of Gare Montparnasse. Lots of restsurants, a Galerie Lafayete... definetly voming back!
location, very close to the train station
staff was OK but could be more friendly
Attitude of the staff is awful (at the reception specially). There are always problems with the prepaid reservations via booking.com. You can literally stay on the street if there isn't a manager to be asked for (as happens on Sunday). You have to present superfluous evidences that you paid a month ago...
- Location - cafes/restaurants in a walking distance - Relatively friendly staff
- No hot drink available (except breakfast time) - Apartment type rooms need to be refreshed, things are old. - Breakfast does not worth for money paid
We asked for a baby bed when we booked but we didnt get one even after complaning. the room wasnt clean. The sofabed was very uncomfortable, i didnt sleep a wink. No plug in the bath tub. so the children couldnt have their bath. I asked for that too but i didnt get one. The hotel looks nice from the outside but inside it needs refreshing.
