The receptionist was helpful Extremely noisy room - with the window open it was like sleeping in a layby on a motorway, with the busy road outside! Room was very very basic, and certainly not worth 120 euros a night. There were no pillow covers on any pillows, we had to ask for them. Cleanliness was just about OK. No A/C in the bedroom. It would have been a nice touch to have tea and coffee provided, something that even the budget hotel chains in the UK manage to do. Reception is closed between 12 and 3, so had we not arrived just before 12, we could not even have left luggage with reception and gone out, for 3 hours!

Hotel staff does not even try to speak any languages other then French. I have arrived after 8 pm, there is no reception, I had to call someone to ask where to find the key, the guy did not speak English at all and I had to speak with him in French (and I do not speak French well). He was very impolite and even cut off the call. When I called the next time he told me "madame, je ne vous comprends pas" although it is he who should speak English.. The room was dirty, covered with pieces of noodle, even in the toilet there was noodle. There were no wardrobes in the romes. So you live surrounded by the bags, trousers and all the staff from your luggage case

The layout of the 2 bed apartment was great, plenty of space and well equipped. Location was excellent and easy to find. Additional blankets would have been nice. Swimming pool area was cold, so were the showers - would have liked both a bit warmer!

Staff were excellent. They did not laugh at my attempts at speaking French. Not having to drop key off and pick it up at reception. Plenty of space in the room, plenty of storage, nice bathroom. No wifi. Even in the room reserved for wifi I couldn't get it. I didn't like having to pay for it, and certainly not by card -- paypal, ok. I went across the road to the other hotel where it was free. They also had a lounge area with magazines, coffee machine, and small shop. It was dearer, but next time I will pay more for those facilities and comfort.Surely they will have a coffee-maker in the room, which is all I used at the Residhotel. Oh, but the first thing I didn't like was the entrance!! The driver of the coach put me down at the car entrance...I Thought it was a prison. The entrance on the main street had no sign, no lights, no flags... Very offputting.

Secure, clean apartment. Nice pool and sauna. Easy walk to the walled City. Secure parking. No kettle. No dishwashing liquid or sponge to clean the kitchen (or dishwasher detergent). Told to buy our own. Didn't think this was very satisfactory considering a note advised that if the kitchen wasn't left clean we would be charged. However this is the only complaint.

The swimming pool, room sizes, location - easy to walk, with young children, to medieval city & city centre/river/canal Name not shown on outside board - drove past several times before asking for directions and being told that we were almost outside - when we commented to the reception staff she shrugged her shoulders and said, 'ah, comme toute la monde' so obviously we weren't alone. Plug didn't work in bath & no shower screen/curtain - minor issues!

It is handy to have kitchen, but rooms and facilities are very basic. Good secure car park The beds were very hard and we had trouble with smoke smells in rooms. We ended up with 2 rooms not near each other.

The localization is really good. Just 5 minutes walking to the La Cité. (Carcassone Castle). Very calm area, even though is near to one of the main avenues of the city. The apartment was very spaceful and clean. With a big window door the garden. There is also a small kitchen and a dinner table. The parking area is well protected and organized. The breakfast is ok for the price. The apartment was smelling cigarrets and we ordered a non smoker apartment. The toilet is in a separate area located in the opposite side of the bathroom. We didn´t like the bed. It was kind of hard due the fact it was also a sofa.

I would recommend this accomodation if you want a short walk to the Medieval City and a longer stroll to the main town canal etc. Staff on arrival 14/10/11- excellent could not fault him, obliging and very helpfull. Accommodation as expected, great size, nice condition, good cleanliness, good location (no kettle, but coffee maker a good substitue, ample pots and pans for those who want to cook). Handy bakery opposite. Close enough to the Medieval City several hundred yards stroll uphill at end. And 10 mins walk fairly flat to supermarkets opposite direction from city. When I readprevious previews I was worried - but I liked the extremely tight security on site it made me feel safe. Just ensure you read the rules when booking - check in times, baggage etc. these are non negotiable, arrive in these times and all will work well, outside these times make sure you understand the instructions - they are not very clear. Indoor pool clean and well kept. I would Definately use this accomodation again. Good value for money. There was nothing I did not like, having to book the sauna just meant you had to plan a little, rather than use it on impulse. Just make sure you read and understand the rules to make your stay hassle free and enjoyable.

Very easy access to old city, and bus stop is literally outside front door. Reception closes between 1pm and 4pm - what happens if you arrive during this time? Not good!! No decent eateries within easy reach.

The apartments were clean and well appointed, lots of kitchen utensils, microwave, fridge, hob and dishwasher. There was no oven but this wasn't an issue for our group. There was a sauna and pool but we didn't have time to use those facilities. We would have liked a balcony, some units had them but not ours.

The beds were only fold out beds, not proper beds for two people, and so were uncomfortable. We had only one bath towel for 2 people for 3 days!!!!!!!!! We wanted to use the pool and were told when looking for 2 extra towels for this that we werent allowed to use hotel towels!!!!!!! So we couldnt use the pool during our stay! Generally, a nice hotel , but very poor service!

Nice indoor pool and its temperature is great. Good location with parking. Very user-unfriendly check-in times and staff would not do anything beyond the 'call of duty' when asked for assistance re local taxis.Amazing to find a self-contained facility that accepts single night bookings but does not provide any washing up gear, apart from one tablet for the dishwasher!

Situated very close to Carcassonne Castle, a short walk away was handy for us. As we didn't have a car. Excellent value for money. Being self contained was very handy. The rooms were a good size. The area was quiet and secured.

We stayed with friends and this was a much better option than staying in two hotel rooms. We had well equipped kitchen area, a large balcony and a had access to the pool area-small pool but a lovely extra on a hot day. Location close to La Cite which made the whole stay a very pleasant experience.
