It was cheaper than hotel rooms elsewhere in the resort. For that price I expected more than backpacker accommodation. I don't expect to be walked around the room on departure to check I've cleaned it properly. To be frank, I don't expect to have to hoover and clean my room on departure when I'm paying that sort of price; would have liked to know that I was expected to clean the room at time of booking. The reception area was only staffed for a few hours per day. Check in time of 5pm is far too late. Why do they need 7 hours to clean a room (between 10am check out and 5pm check in) that has already been cleaned by departing guests? Would have been helpful to know that we needed to bring our own soap, washing up cloth etc - noone to ask at reception when this was required.

Location not bad at the top of the funicular, staff quite helpful, and accomodating of changing my arrival time. As has been said by many others, this is a very tatty hotel, which badly needs updating. The room was tiny (about 12 feet square), and didn't actually have real beds - just a sofa with a pull out mattress underneath. The bathroom was also pretty poky, but the shower had plenty of very hot water. You need to know that you are renting an 'apartment', and not a hotel room. You make your own beds, get towels only if you ask, and have to clean the place before you leave, having given the reception a 300EUR deposit on checking in. They don't tell you this on the website (or here), and I would have been annoyed to find this out when I arrived had I not read the reviews beforehand. Basically, I wouldn’t stay here unless nothing else was available. Cleaning the toilet and hoovering the place, then showing the staff around to prove what a good boy I’ve been is not what I want to do when checking out of a hotel while on holiday.

The staff are very friendly and the value for money is good It needs to be renovated. The furniture is at least 15 years old, the tv is tiny and the place has no internet.

Very good price per person, even when occupied with half of the possible number. From the apartment building skiable access to the slopes. Isola 2000 is à very nice ski resort only an hours drive from Nice. Slopes are great for à few days, especially during weekdays; weekends are crowded. We've been here every other year from 2003 and have an enjoyable affordable snow-secure skiingtrip with a group of guys, flying into Nice. Apartments are getting dirtier and worn every year. Need refurbishment or even rebuilding to keep up with time. Wifi would also be nice. But still, for this price unbeattable offer!

The location, unfussiness of staff... Once booked in free to come and go without interruption. Would have been useful to know that towels aren't provided, but we were able to buy some from local shop.

Residence was excellent value for money - the 4 person studio had a separate bunk area making it more private than expected. Residence was about 100 m from the top of the funicular - which runs on demand. This made it quite easy to get down to the main part of the resort without too much walking. There is also a shuttle bus which stops right out front every 10-15mins during peak times.Great view from the SE facing window. Seems all the rooms face south east, south or south west. Late arrival instructions received by telephone went smoothly. This building is old and does look it. Some things were not working, but were promptly attended to by the staff. It is not posh, but everything promised was provided and pretty much worked. Street parking only, but possible to unload in front of the hotel and then find a space. Note it is not a full service hotel - limited reception hours, limited information on the resort and skiing provided.

The thing that attracted us to the hotel was initially the rate, with a young family it is very good in terms of no extra charges for kids (3 ½ yr twins in our case), a kitchen so you can cook (those "larger framed" individuals might struggle with the kitchen !). We got a 6 person apartment although we are only 4 – this gave top floor great view off balcony and a loft where we all slept. ( re arrange beds and mattresses) Location was not really slope side (especially with kids) but a 200m walk to the funicular (free) which takes you to the slopes. Even as a non shopper I thought the long mall type The “Front de Neige” in the resort was great as you can walk along indoors past all the action. As has been said before – you get what you pay for. Expect to make your own beds, dodgy blankets (not needed this time as apts. were well heated) , cleaning your apt on the day of leaving or 70 Euro cleaning fee, a slight lack of hot water after a day on the slopes, but all in all for the price we paid it was fair. One warning - attempt the stairs to the loft at your own peril after a few beers – I’m sure there must be some EU law against them! Isola is a nice resort but you need to like drag lifts especially as beginners as chairs are scarce on lower slopes.

Location and quite a large space. Attitude of staff on check out. Poor cleanliness , rundown and tatty. The apartment was not checked with us on arrival and yet on checkout the man insisted on checking our cleaning which was better than when we arrived as I am a housekeeper in a hotel! Instructions for depositing of laundry not clear. Blankets not too clean looking. Had to make beds.overall a very tired and run down place and I certainly would not recommend . This is the first time with booking. Com that I have found this poor standard .
