The staff were welcoming and helpful and the quality of the cuisine was excellent for the very reasonable cost
Excellent resturant dinner and breakfast 20 euros per head if you do not go ala carte
TV and WIFI wasn't working in the room!
The food was excellent in the restaurant, the staff were very nice.Parking was easy.
The mattress was too hard for me,others would like it.
the first class service, made to feel at home, would recommend for a long weekend
nothing to dislike
No bars or restaurants open on Sunday. Only place to eat was a fry up chip van. Our trailer was broken into during the night. Rear door smashed caused many hundreds of pounds of damage. It was parked in the town square opposite the hotel
Breakfast is good although not plentiful. Baguette, croissant, coffee and yoghurt. Staff were nice and helpful. Free parking on street or opposite.
Room has minimum amount of furniture, a tiny 22in tv positioned nearly on ceiling. No lift if you need one. Better take your own shower gel as sachet has not got enough for a decent shower.
Hotel easy to find. We read previous reviews about the food here and were not disappointed. For 20 euros you get 2 course "la carte" evening meal and breakfast. Food was excellent.
Only a little thing really, the room could do with decorating with a lighter colour,(a lighter coloured bedspread would make all the difference).
Friendly helpful rooms comfortable great food great value excellent location
Needs mirror and chair for dressing table
staircases needed cleaning
good food ,comfortable and clean ,the manager was very helpful and eager to please.
excellent food and good value
We booked this hotel mainly because of the restaurant reviews. We went on Sunday, and it was not open.
Not a lot to do in and around the hotel. But if you have a car, the city centre is only a 5 minute drive. Room was small, but clean and o.k.
Very friendly and accommodating staff, spoke good English. Free car park with plenty of free spaces just outside the hotel. Small shopping centre with a few restaurants just next door. Restaurant on premises.
Room was small, as French rooms usually are. No elevator means you better pack light or have strong hands. Room seemed recently renovated, but was very dark and depressing. Only one lamp, and that gave a horrible glow and made the room even more depressing. A sour, funky smell was very strong in the bathroom (mildew and moisture) and that spread to the room if the door was open. The bathroom was old and needed to be renovated.
Good food, slide show menu.
Need to speak French.
The manager Fred stayed late to welcome us at 10pm on a Sunday and nothing was too much trouble. Though there is a large public car park opposite, he insisted we park right outside the hotel in their space, he took our bicycles into safe keeping in the hotel, and arranged for us to park our folding camper in the fire station along the street! Highly impressive. Room was fine for price and hotel overall a good budget destination.
This was an ideal location for us to stay overnight before getting the ferry to the UK. It was handy to park for free nearby. The room and en-suite bathroom was clean. The furniture was functional, but we were not expecting luxury. The bed was comfortable. The blinds worked, allowing the morning sun limited opportunity to wake us early. The breakfast was generous and filling for our (simple) taste. The staff were polite and spoke good English to communicate with their monoglot guests. Wi-Fi access was helpful, even though emails didn't update whilst we were there.
Nothing to report
The hotel was in a good location and was quite comfortable. The Wifi worked very well. There was plenty of parking outside. Supermarket very close by.
There could have been more power outlets in the room. Would be nice if their were tea and coffee facilities in the room.
For french circumstances a very good Solution to stay befor entring the Ferry to Dover. an exzellent Restaurant at reasonable pricing.
Nothing to report
The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was excellent - about 100m from a hypermarket and cinema. It was clean and the shower was excellent. Bed very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. Very convenient for tunnel and ferries.
Nothing but I wish we had eaten here. The food looked excellent.
The dinner & breakfast deal was good value, but the breakfast is very basic. The room was OK for one night.
The room is very basic and the wifi wasn't good upstairs. Street parking only around the town square, be careful not to park on the square opposite on a Thursday night because there is a market there Friday mornings.
Ideal position.clean and tidy hotel.could have had a meal if required.room was clean and tidy,a little small but we had a dog so guess it was a small choice.our room looked over the public car park across the road, which meant we could keep an eye on the car.very close to the ferry so ideal overnight stopover.
They only provided us with one towel. There was only one socket in the room, which caused us trouble with our kettle and toaster etc...Didn't realise there was a cafe nearby until we took the dog for a walk next morning. There was a small bar just down the road though.
This was my second stay at Hotel La Cuis'in. The Restaurant serves excellent food and attracts non-residents too. On street parking is sometimes possible, but there is a large 'free' public car park just metres away.
The restaurant serves food from 7pm. I prefer to eat a little earlier, but that wont stop me staying & eating there again
The welcome and frienly helpfulness. The evening meal was simple but good and was good value
The room was rather small and there was nowhere to sit and relax except on the bed. there were no English language channels on the TV (not even BBC World News) even though the hotel is a natural stopover for people travelling to or from the UK
