Room decoration, breakfast, comfy beds
We would have paid 50 Euros more if I hadn't checked my booking confirmation
The wonderful owners - Monsieur and Madame Laveant - make this hotel a gem. The location, ambience and atmosphere more than compensate for the few aesthetic faults it may have. We were a family of 4 staying here for only one night, and we regret not staying longer. A special commendation to Madame Laveant who held the operation together despite most unfortunate circumstances during our stay. Highly recommended if you're not the 'Holiday Inn' type of guest. Lovely!!
Nothing at all - we didn't get to stay longer.
Location Range and quality of breakfast friendliness of staff
Very friendly and helpful and in a perfect location. The food was exquisite, especially the breakfast. And the homemade macarons are superb! Can't wait to return next year!!
I was given a friendly welcome, I had a very nice room overlooking the beach and the hotel was well run. If I return to Tregastel I will certainly try to stay at this hotel again.
Large room with great terrace over the beach and with amazing see view. Very kind and friendly owner! when we left, she gave us some macarones cause we have a very long car trip!
comfort and facilities very good
We got a wonderful room as an upgrade; the private hamam and whirlpool was great, the location directly at the seaside was marvellous - great view!!! We appreciated the private parking.
there is nothing to complain - everything was fantastic!
Quirky, great location, helpful owners, delicious breakfast
Our family suite with two bedrooms and balcony were perfect; very clean and fresh water every day. The owners were very friendly and took good care of all our requests. The location is ideal to access the beach and walks along the coast. Crêpes and gallettes in the restaurant are also good. We really enjoyed our stay!
Form the outside the building looks a bit run down. But I am sure they will renovate soon.
friendliness and very helpful. The breakfasts were very good
English first, French second: This hotel is a little gem. The owners are charming. The minute we walked in we were greeted by Monsieur Laveant, the 3rd generation to run this hotel, who immediately made us feel welcome, helping us every step of the way. It was like being invited for the weekend! His greeting was followed instantly by Madame, who arrived with a plate of 5 gorgeous purple and rose pastel colored macarons that she had just made! It turns out she is a decorated pastry chef and we were so lucky to taste more of her exceptionally delicious cakes and breakfast pastries during our stay. This was a true plus and a wonderful surprise! The rooms, and the whole hotel for that matter are decorated in a nautical style, as the Laveants have collected authentic pieces from ships and have furnished every room like a private cabin. Our room was comfortable and cozy and our shower was also a beautifully appointed sauna! In the late evening after getting in from a party, we were very hungry and Monsieur Laveant magically produced two delicious crepes and some cider from the kitchen behind the bar and his cat slept on our knees during dinner. In the morning breakfast is a vast display of all of Madame Laveant's traditional and Brittany style pastries and the efficient and friendly waitress took orders for hot crepes or omelets too. It is simple; as we were leaving we were already checking our calendars for the next available time we could come back. The beach and surroundings are beautiful and invigorating. This was a perfect weekend getaway for us and it is high on our list of favorites.
The view from the windows. The amazing shower in the Eric Taberley room. Friendly owners Fabulous breakfast
The Hamam in the shower room. Secure parking. The individual way the bedroom were furnished, using the type of furniture on yachts of the 1930's and 40's. Very friendly staff. Lovely breakfast. Close to the beach and walks Bathrobes
No lift. No evening meals
Renovated rooms with excellent facilities; fabulous bathroom and very comfortable bed with quality linen. Breakfast was a feast and the owners were extremely pleasant and helpful. Hopefully we will return.
Very warm and welcoming. Our children loved the hotel and were really cared for. Lots of personal touches that added to the experience. Thank you Daniel and Sylvie for a lovely stay. We highly recommend the Hotel.
We liked everything.
Welcoming, friendly, and relaxing. Very comfortable, with a great view
Everything was simply perfect !! We enjoyed the warm and friendly athmosphere and the way our hosts took care of all our needs, including the excellent breakfast with everything being homemade and fresh. The surroundings are breathtaking wild nature and even out of season good to relax.
Very good service from the staff. Fantastic location. Breakfast.
We were very pleased with the location and the sea views, together with the coastal path walks. We arrived earlier than expected and the owner went out of her way to complete making up our rooms for us and provide a pamplet showing the local walks. We did not have dinner at the hotel as the restaurant was closed for annual staff holidays, but the breakfasts were excellent. Home made yoghurts, jams and croissant and a good selection of breads. We were spoilt for choice with the selection of fresh fruits included the last of the season's strawberries which were delicious. Hot food (eggs, bacon, crepes and galettes) was also available if we wanted. The whole hotel is nautically themed and a lot of thought has gone into the individuality of the rooms.
Not a dislike - just an observation. Some of the decor needs revitalising and the blind winders in one room were broken. Also the hot water in one room was intermittent. Little things that just need a bit of attention.
We stayed there only for one night but I could have stayed there much longer. The rooms are lovely because they are individually designed. There are private parking lots in the back of the building, the staff was very friendly and everything was clean. Additionally the Hotel is located very well. It is directly at the beach and a perfect place to discover the Côte de Granit Rose.
The room was fine with a good bathroom and the view was excellent.
The Fact that the restaurant was closed during the week we were there.
incredible location, very close to the coast of the rose granit and aquarium. the forum of tregastel is very close - and we have a discount from the hotel. we have nice four hours in the pool, sauna and hammam. very friendly host and hostess! excellent restaurant! i've never eat the meat better! and seafoodwas excellent! very cosy and nice place!
The location in front of the beach (across public sidewalk), good friendly reception, excellent gorgeous breakfast, nice view. "Low" price for the location.
This hotel badly needs a major renovation. Decoration is really obsolete, wallpaper was coming off, faucet was not working properly in the bathroom.
