Rooms, bed, bathroom, shower, airconditioning, quiet village.
Small portions in restaurant. Large cheese plate does not earn the definition "large"! Poor selection of cheeses on the plate. Glass of wine is filled just under half. You pay for a glass of wine, but you get a half glass.
The hotel is new so everything is clean and beautiful. The rooms are very specious and modern The owner are so welcoming and friendly. Meals are served outside under a huge platonus tree and among some olive trees and it is magnificent. Dinner was ecellent and we all enjoyed it. Breakfast was magical and tasty. We fully recommend it
The upstairs room in this recently renovated farmhouse was spacious. We had plenty of room, fantastic AC (whisper quiet and very effective), a HUGE shower, and a king size bed. We ate breakfast in the beautiful patio under the shade of an old plane tree. The restaurant served the best food we had in our week in Provence. Stellar! Monique, the owner, speaks excellent English. She and her husband Daniel, who live on the ground floor, were very welcoming. The location was ideal: 20 min to St Remy, 25 min to Avignon, 30 min to Les Baux, about 40 min to Arles, 1 hour to Nimes and Pont du Gard, and about 1 hour to the small villages of the Luberon. At the end of each day we were able to retreat to the quiet village of Verquieres and truly relax. I highly recommend this Maison d'Hote!
Not much! The bed, while huge, was a bit firm as were the pillows. Pretty small complaint.
Full organic breakfast with homemade rolls and jams. Friendly and helpful host and hostess who both spoke English. Room was large with a/c and modern facilities. Just 2 rooms, but they have plans to expand. Easy access to Avignon and San Remy. Prepared lunch for us on Sunday and then, later, dinner. Wonderful lamb with vegetables that were cooked perfectly (not overcooked). Lovely dessert - apple crumble with homemade ice cream. Avignon and San Remy are only 20 mins. away by car.
The room is renovated shortly and fairly big, with a big walk-in shower! The toilet is separate, which is nice as the bathroom is a walk-in one. Their restaurant (the only one in the village) is downstairs and that's very convenient if you don't want to drive late at night. The price/quality of the food is very good. The family is very nice and friendly and will help you in any way they can.
The village is very quiet. But if you travel by car, this should not be a reason not to visit.
