From the first moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed. The rooms are exceptional in their decor and comfort, and it was simply a pleasure to be greated by Mrs. Bardot who couldn't be more charming or helpful. The meals although expensive were absolutely outstanding. We would certainly recommend the place to all of our friends and we would go back there in a flash if we were to return to Vaison.
Having to leave.
Very friendly staff. Near city centre but not right in it so easy to park. Wonderful dinner in the restaurant. Great breakfast with local home made produce.
We had a very large bedroom, sitting room, and lovely bath. Our room had a balcony overlooking the river and Mt. Ventoux in the distance. Although we did not eat in the highly rated restaurant (because our schedule never coincided with their hours) the smells from the restaurant were enticing.
We thought we would have a problem parking since none is guaranteed, and what is available is very far away and not secure, but we lucked out and got street side parking each night next to the hotel.
Excellent food but no local wine. Bedroom was comfortable and breakfast was full continental and very substantial. A very interesting & quirky hotel. Hotel located very close to old & new town next to the bridge.
Price of food & wine.
Location, convenience, comfort were all top notch. Tuesday market is fabulous. Breakfast is amazing!
Some might not like the winds "the Mistral", we loved them.
Amazing location. Very attentive hostess. Really fascinating place with quite arty/eccentric decor. Ate in and enjoyed a real feast of French cuisine. Excellent wine selection.
The food was almost over the top in terms of being excessively fancy haute cuisine and, unusually, the portion sizes were too big (even for my hungry husband!). The bill was pretty hefty too. Our room at the top of the house was quaint but due to the roof beams the ceiling was so low that no average adult would be able to stand upright in more than about 25% of the room; that was particularly awkward for my 190cm husband.
Location was good. Had character.
Quaintness was undermined by high cost. Got room with impossibly low ceilings, even though we requested differently. 2 floors of steep stairs to lug suitcases. Dinner wonderful, but pretentious and expensive. 7 Euros for coffee!! Parking difficult.
Not much. Spacious room.
Location on Hwy is actually dangerous when bringing in luggage. Awful odor from toilette filled the room. Owner refused to acknowledge the problem. Breakfast was overpriced. Owner charged us for two nights, even though we had to leave after one due to the smell. Like France in the 50's: the owner has all the rights; the customer none.
the location and the welcome were great. Breakfast was a theatrical performance with so much laid out on the table that two people sat at a table that could seat eight. Vastly over the top but very entertaining (expensive if you're not into massive breakfasts).
We found the decor over-the-top cutsey-pootsie, but that's a personal thing.
