Everything from dirty stairs to tiles off in bathroom no shower only plastic hose It was an awful experience
very affordable in the center of Paris
walls are falling appart, receptionist does not speak english or any other language apart French. Breakfast very modest, without salami.
When we arrived with our confirmed booking on 18 Sept 2014 the staff - ?? their apparel did not indicate they manage the hotel AND they could not speak one word of English. I had to show them my name on their room list BUT other people occupied the room allocated to us. All we could hear as they shouted and screamed to one another was " e technical " ?? Then they left us in the street in front of the hotel !!!! We had then to walk all around to find accommodation and were eventually helped by the Hotel Breselle . They assisted us very professionally and tried their best to accommodate us in a price range BUT not even near what the Rex has been advertising. Our accommodation were 3x the price as per confirmed booking !!!! Booking.com should remove them from their list !!!!!!!
Good service mind
Wifi and location was excelent.
Dirt, dust, very poor... Not recomended.
Price and location
Very small, even 'narrow' and cheap hotel. Elevator for one peson only (very uncomfortably if you are there with your family, in the 4th floor). Poor room, dirty with some broken furnitures. Breakfast unbelievably poor. I definitely cannot recommend .
I had booked two rooms for four people but when we came there, they had just one room for two people prepared for us. But they offered us one room for four people for better price. (Small minus for the reservations mess. But maybe it was fault of booknig.com)
I didnt like the personal because many of those people were annoyed because of working. For example they are not answering for greetings. Simply - unpleasant personal. Very big minus for this!
- I paid for a room with shared toilet, but had a toilet in the room - having read negative comments on other websites, I think the hotel reserves its best rooms for booking.com - the quality of my bed and bathroom was very good - my room (16) was in a quiet spot of the hotel
- when I arrived, there were no towels in my room (but that problem was quickly repaired) - during a few hours, WIFI did not work (but when it worked, it was perfect) - I heard that the hotel will close down within the next year - the floor, doors and walls need refurbishing/painting, but if they do that I'm sure the room rate will double, so they probably should leave it as it is
I like just position
very dirty, no fridge, kettle, furniture in very bad condition, Never ever saw hotel like this...
Convenient location Wifi in room Helpful staff Refrigerator in room
Old interiors, moldy Slim-fit elevator Leaking taps
Close to the center! The staff is kind and nice except the owner! If you are looking for a cheap hotel in the center it is perfect! A great place to see the city and have a bed afterwards!
Rooms are too small. The bathroom needs some renovation! If you look out of the window you can find treasures like at least 1 year old Heineken can, a used to be white pullover, etc.
Location not too bad
Dirty, Smelly!!! no Wifi at all, smelly staff.
good location friendly staff value for money
old rooms ok beds lousy wifi
excellent location, spacious room, simple, good value.
The location is good and easy for metro and go to to the city .
The WLAN is bad , one day not work and one day I can not send out email.
Central location and cheap! Just what we wanted for an overnight stop. Hotel provided on street parking for 20euros. Family room for 5 is pretty rare too! Basic, friendly and fit for this purpose.
Compare to other prices this one was ok , quiet place overall i would go back
Dirty rooms full of bed bugs breackfast is nothing very bad experience
Friendly staff, nice room, was there for the Tour de France so just what we needed. Would stay again
Stairs up to rooms could be a bit of a hazard if not careful. Other than that no problems at all.
Staff we're extremely helpful & accommodating. Location was excellent - close to Metro & walking distance to the Louvre. Free wifi was great. Cheap accommodation option!!!!
Rooms were old & run down (but it's cheap so we got what we paid for)
Attic room, walk up stairs from elevator. Thin door. Old bed, pillows, and sheets.
Central location is convenient.
No toilet seat in bathroom, no bath plugs, no fixtures to hold the spray hose up for a shower. Dusty and dirty - layers of dust around TVs and window frames in both rooms, passage and lobby carpets dirty with linen and various vacuum cleaners left on several floors late in the afternoon. No fan or air conditioning - you need to open the windows wide, then it gets noisy and very un-private. Six storeys high with a lift that fits only two people (who must be intimate!) and only goes up to the fifth floor. No tea or coffee making facilities in rooms. Wi-Fi worked for us but is insecure (no password).
The hotel is well located near the metro, restaurants and shopping areas. 10mins walk from the opera. Hotel staffs very helpful and good.
Location, location, location... We went there for 3 days and other hotels in that area were 1500-2000 EUR for the stay while this hotel's price was 400 EUR (breakfast and WiFi included).
Be prepared that building is very old and it's pretty dirty inside. Just be prepared for it and accept it. If not, staying in this hotel will be a nightmare. If yes (and the hotel for you is just a place to have a shower, sleep and breakfast in the morning), then this will be a wise choice of value (and location) for money.
