the staff were friendly, the hotel in general and room kept clean, the shower was good. Very good value for money if you just require a base to explore paris
It is very close to transport links at Gare du Nord. The room was a reasonable size for 5 people. Beds were OK and sheets clean. There was hot water and a good size bathroom.
The Gare du Nord area is shabby and full of scammers, pick pockets and prostitutes...a bit of Paris colour maybe, but keep your wits about you. The décor was very dated and the bathroom suffering from broken tiles and black mould in the corners. The Richmond badly needs some investment.
I don't like this hotel at all .I hate the room, too small poor lightning in the room and outside the room. The hall lightning keep off at all the time. The lift is too small and hate the service. Never ever again stay on this hotel. It rubbish xx
I don't like anything the room too small, the lift too small ,poor service and poor lighting in the room and hall way. Hate everything of it this hotel .
The location is second to none, the staff helpful under the conditions, and very clean.
The facilities are basic. Our "Double" was crowed with three single beds.Basically a 2 star hotel with 4 star prices because of the location
Good localisation, close to metro, RER, and the rest of trains.
Basic hotel. Clean. Good location if you have an early Eurostar trip.
One afternoon was locked out of hotel for 20 minutes whilst the only employee on duty went about some duties that took him away from the desk. At the same time there were people locked in who couldn't get out. A bit dangerous had there been an emergency
You come out of the train station and its directly across the street. After a long travel day it was glorious to have the hotel in sight right after getting off the train. Our rooms were ready at 0830 so it was nice to freshen up and get out there to see the city. Metro of course right at the hotel so getting around was so simple. Must stay here if you have only a few days to see Paris. No time wasted on getting to and from hotel and transportation!
Electric in our room was tricky the key card slot to run electricity kept sparking when we put the card in the slot. Kind of scared us a bit, but I would still go back. Can't beat the location.
Perfect location! Metros,buses ect.
Location near Gare de Nord, excellent access to Eurostar, ICE trains, metro and local trains. Bus depot as well. Easy access to CDG airport. Plenty of restaurants. Rooms quite acceptable, air con, not a lot of noise (we were on 5th floor). Staff were responsive, manager came up to help with our TV. Room was better than expensive after staying one night at a nearby hotel. Bathroom was OK, everything clean. Shower nozzle needed attention.
Bit of a sleasy area, always seems to be people hanging around outside the station. Restaurants expensive nearby, have to move away from main street for more reasonable prices. Lobby in the hotel is poorest presented part, does not give a favourable impression. Very few english programs on TV.
Valentin was so sweet and helpful ! Rooms were adequate for the price.
The location is practical but very busy.
Near Eurostar station
Room not properly clean
Convenient location and good wi-fi. Close to good brasseries. Concierge was helpful and arranged taxi for us.
Quite cramped. No tea or coffee making facilities. No extra pillows.
Excellent location and friendly hotel staff.
Limited breakfast choice.
The location of this hotel is excellent. Just in front of GARD DU NORD station. Metro train and buses were easily accessible. Eiffel tower is about 35 min to 40 min far from bus. Room was good and comfortable at the given price.
Small lift. Dark passages.
New Hotel staff were very brillant
To small reception room at Richmond hotel lack privacy
Great to hear the gentle sounds of the street and cafés
the towel, the bed, the facility, the furniture are all poor except the location
Corridors a little noisy at night.
bugs steps noise
Location was very good and there was little or no outside noise in the room. There was more than ample space in the room and in the ensuite
great location, staff very helpful and friendly, good breakfast to start the day, comfortable beds and even though opposite the station you couldn't hear the noise. would stay again
no coffee making facilities unfortunately but mcdonalds just down road
bugs and noise all night fighting and fire alarm
Very centralized, just in front of Guard Du Nord, several restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, and not to mention that Carrefour is just behind the hotel.
Mattress of the bed was not that good
