Riva Hôtel  

Location is great. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Well worth having a balcony overlooking the sea. The solarium was also nice given the time of year ( end of April). Would go back.

There was the occasional musty smell in the room. Perhaps a vent in the bathroom would help control the moisture levels.

Nothing- the "only" improvement can be to add a special small mirror to the bathroom for easier make up - but this is really not important !

We stayed at the Riva Hotel for 2 nights during Menton's Lemon Festival. We were made very welcome at the hotel and the Buffet Breakfasts were excellent. On our departure we travelled by bus to Nice for 1 euro each! The bus stop was very near to the hotel. We can recommend the hotel, the Lemon Festival and the surrounding area. We also enjoyed the area's micro climate - it was so warm every day.

Honest price for the standard of luxury on offer. Excellent staff, great location, terrific advice on local cafes and restaurants, loads of parking.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Riva. We found the staff to be welcoming and efficient. The facility is very clean and well-kept. The balconies make these rooms very special. The sun-roof terrace offers a nice place to relax and enjoy the wonderful ocean view.

We chose the sea view room and it had a lovely view of the sea when we woke up. The room was basic but satisfactory. Decent bathroom (although no holder for the shower head) a short walk down the road were a few restaurants however there wasnt much else to do and the whole town seemed to shut up around 10pm. Fortunately we were only there for one night as part of a european travelling trip. Decor in the third floor corridor was nice.

The sliding balcony doors were broken and did not open properly. Took a lot of force to move them. Decor in the rooms was a bit dated/old fashioned Would cost money to use the TV. The terrace was actually a normal sized balcony The ''safe'' was held down by one bolt/nut. Not very secure.

If you use a car, there can be problems with parking. The hotel has its own underground parking, but it was already full in February when booking a room for September. In fact, staying in September we could find free parking places around, but I guess it might not be so easy in high summer season. With the room price 131 Euro breakfast was not included.

Free WiFi and free computer with internet access, great solarium with jacuzzi, decent breakfast. One step off the beach. Very spacey room with balcony. Very open-minded to pets! Bus near to hotel if you want to go to Monaco.

Hotel blocked 131€ in my cc two days before my stayed and didn't released 1 day after check-out. When you go on holidays and don't keep track of your account, isn't very nice when you go to pay the hotel and your cc is refused because you’re over your limited (when actually you didn't spend that money)

A perfect location on the shore, the view is beautiful from the room, if you buy a seaview room. The jakuzzi and the sauna on the roof is perfect. Parking is not easy but not impossible on the street and its free.

The room was a little bit noisy but closing the window solved the problem.
