The welcome,service and the food
Acess to the upstairs en-suite needs a re-think
Room booking included breakfast which I normally don't do at a hotel as we enjoy the local bakeries and they are much more affordable. However here the breakfast was provided at the restaurant located in the bottom floor of the building. We ate a'la carte from the full breakfast menu and weren't charged a cent no matter what we ordered! Menu included organic breads, jams, coffee, omelets, french toast, eggs, or even the Elvis Breakfast (pancakes, french toast, eggs, coffee and juice)! The staff at the restaurant, especially Fred was amazingly nice and attentive. He organized a bottle of wine, glasses, wine cooler and opener as a special treat for our anniversary. He provided tips and advice on where to go. Helped call taxis. He basically made the entire stay fantastic! The location is flawless, directly in the flower market which transforms to restaurant seating in the evening with plenty of options. You're one street away from the water and 1 minute from public and private beach areas. You can see the Chateau area from the hotel and walking to the base of the hill is less than 5 minutes. If your room doesn't have a balcony there is one at the end of the hallway with a small table and seats overlooking the pedestrian area. Great for people watching and drinking a bottle of wine, we even caught an acrobatic street performance from our vantage point!
You entering the location through a side door and climb to the second floor of the building. The hallway is a little unique with its lighting and decoration but no worries it's clean and comfortable. You may be a bit surprised by the room layout, they are mezzanine-style with a double bed on the bottom floor and a twisted staircase going up to the bathroom/kitchenette. The turn to the upstairs has a very low ceiling and you must watch your head, even at 65" I had to duck considerably to avoid the bump so if you are tall or have difficulties with stairs you will be uncomfortable staying here. Unfortunately there's no fridge, but you can always get something in the restaurant below. There is also no wardrobe but hangers and hooks are provided allowing you to hang up a small handful of garments. Overall this is not a room for those that want large open spaces and full featured amenities, who have issues climbing stairs or large people who have difficulties navigating small or low spaces. It's perfect for young couples, fit friends and adventurous pairs.
The location of the B&B is perfect, right next to the Saleya Markets. The room had a little balcony that was perfect to chilling out and watching people go past. The room was a great size and very clean and modern. Bed was comfy and we had a great night sleep for the three nights we stayed there. Free breakfast at the restaurant downstairs was delicious. The beach is literarily 100 meters away. While there, we met and got to know the owner of the property Fred, he was one of the kindest, friendly and most generous people we ever met. He loves formula1 racing and has some great photos with the drivers to show. When we go back to Nice we will definitely stay here again. Thank you Fred for an amazing holiday in Nice and for our lovely goodbye gifts. :) Slavka and Chris
Perfect breakfast with very kind staff. Close to the see and market.Lovely atmosphere.Special bathroom that may inspire you for something more then just a shower.
Amazing location in old nice. Nice welcome, friendly staff. Just a good place to stay if you are in Nice
The vue - and the location Big lit shower - and all the creativity used to turn the relatively little space into a beautiful two-storey room Great double bed Good breakfast
They warn you very explicitly that you have to mind your head to climb the stairs to the top floor bathroom - and they are right if you are of average height.
The location is perfect with views over the Cours Saleya, access to beach, discovering Old Town. Nice to sit and have breakfast on the terrace and people watch. Room was clean.
Most of staff unfriendly when it came to breakfast. As this was our second time 8 months staying at the same place i asked for the same room only to find that the shower still has not been fixed. When i asked why and would it be fixed there was no apology and secondly was not fixed. On my first stay we could choose whichever breakfast menu we wanted as part of the stay, on the 2nd occasion we were told only continental breakfast allowed until we informed them about the first time stay.
Location to old town, flower market and Promenade de Anglaise
stairs, somewhere to put luggage
Nothing it was great
Excellent location, in the old town, very close to the daily market, beach and transport. Breakfast was an enjoyable start to each day, with friendly staff. Would definitely recommend
Was a little noisy at night. The bed was a little too firm.
The location was really good and the bed very comfortable. Good position for sight seeing & the restuarants. It was a good place to stay for a night & the outside noise was not disturbing.
The room was not sound proof as stated.Did it mean double glazed? We were disturbed by the bathroom in the room above us, late at night & early morning. The public parking was conviently close but very expensive.
location cozy bed
no wardrobe!!! (all our clothes were in bags for 3 days), small room, strange smell (we stayed in "M" room), noizy at night, hard to find (didn't notice info about the "Reception" in cafe), croissant and 3 slices of bread with jam on breakfast
Good quality sheets and bedding Location Efficient air conditioning
Over priced Unsafe staircase to upstairs bathroom Severe damp problem Terrible smell
Room with a Vue was a fantastic place to stay. Rooms were great and the unique bathrooms make it an interesting stay. The staff were most friendly we found during our month in Europe. Fred was the perfect host and made our stay really enjoyable. The rest of the staff were so helpful and polite it was amazing. Room with a Vue is located in the "Old town" which is close to many restaurants and bars/cafes. Breakfast was included. Beach is approximately 100 metres from Room with a Vue. With markets during the day and restaurants at night - what more could you ask for. Will definitely stay at Room with a Vue again.
Can tend to be a tad noisy late at night
Location was excellent, good service from staff
The hotel is more like a bed & breakfast service. There was some stuff that was unfinished in the room: toilet door could not be closed properly, only hot (!) water in the shower and the toilet lid was damaged
Room with a Vue was a great place to stay. We had a lovely room with a comfortable bed, modern bathroom, and a beautiful chandelier. The staff were fantastic, very friendly and helpful. Fred went out of his way to make our stay really enjoyable! Breakfast was included and very delicious. Location was perfect- situated in the old town with great restaurants at our doorstep and the beach a street away. If returning to Nice I would definitely stay here again!!
