the staff was very friendly, the location very good, the room was ok for this price.
the location (right by the Nation metro stop) the cleanliness quiet at night fair price
the room service kept changing towels every day even though we left them on the hooks or even when we didn't use them whenever I tried to call the hotel, the receptionist I reached didn't speak any English and told me to call back in the evening at the end of the stay, the hotel drew the amount due for the stay directly from my credit card without my approval (we only found out when we went to pay and the receptionist told us that we had already)
The location is near the Nation station, Casino supermarket is just at corner of the street. It is quiet and the room is not big, while it worthy for the price
The staff was helpful. Spoke English really well. Room was small and tidy. Close by to two metro stations, Nations and Picpus. Some groceries available nearby. Some pastry shops as well. Quiet during the night.. no problems or disturbances for sleeping
price is low, location is convenient
no wifi, small room
+ Good Wifi in our room in 1st flour. + 24 hours reception. + good privat shower room. + good location (metro & RER). + good price
- old furniture. - We heard the neighbors.
Good location near Metro, bus service, and train station. Very basic but adequate room. Friendly, helpful staff. A Chines restaurant almost next door!!
WIFI weak and inconsistant.
Near underground station.
Expensive breakfast, walls in the room in terrible conditions.
The staff was nice, the location is good.
The room we had (15) was full of fungi and humidity. I came back sick from there. The carpet floor was soacked in water in front of the bathroom. It is hard to believe that they did not notice that when they clean. That room really needed a renovation.
Everything is bad. Hotel is very very old, beds are old and rickety, Bedsheets and towels are not clean. Wifi does not exist.
The staff were very helpful and generous. The rooms were clean. Great location near the Metro. Very safe and quiet neighborhood. Loved the old hotel ambiance.
The shower was a bit small but adequate. Opening the room doors can be loud but that's what made the hotel special.
The hotel was ideal, it was close enough to the centre using the handy metro system but far enough away to make it a really well priced stay.
There was no complimentary shampoo/conditioner or shower gel. We did not expect these things but would of come in handy.
The staff were good and the hotel is very close to the metro station
Bad wifi, very old furniture
the hotel near to train servies, good all shopping near to hotel which is good.
1st day when we go to room ,all all bed sheets are dirty ,and bath room basket are full of rubbish, immdaitelly went to the manger and he come with me and see in his own eyes, bath room was dirty towels are on the floor ,sink dirty,my childrens refuse to stay here but I have no obciation ?where to go with my family ,after long travel on the bus and they refuse to give us room before 2pm.so we go in room about 2.30 pm.2nd day my daughter complain that she did not sleep all nite because of insect in the mattres and in morring she have red legs /arm/and some on the neck bite.then again complianto counter, and show my daughter that this the happen last nite .3rd nite in my room my mrs complain same and she have bite on her arms and hand and legs.then I go to manger and complain about the mattress,i told him we are not happy and after long discussion he paid my daughter 30 euro to buy a medician, which she get some cream and tablet,in my room since Monday when I get in room I saw water coming under the flush,i complaint to the lady and she said manger come I report, but ?street was so noisey because of pub ?people drunk and make a noise after 2am,like me and my mrs above 65 once we get up with the noise we can not sleep again?very sad experience, and last we lost our money in the underground train some pick pocket did the job,on the hole not a good tour.
Very comfortable and spacious double bed. Great location, easy to travel everywhere.
Bad air in the corridors, poor ventilation, very durty bathroom. No soap and shampoon, no kettle in the room. If the cleaning is better it would be a very good place to stay in.
the room was big, bed sheets and towels were changed every day, good location a few meters away from metro stop "nation". quite place. I strongly recommend this hotel to others guests.
no soap or shampoo in the bath
The location of the hotel was really good and it looked like it had been a respectable place untill fairly recently. The private bathrooms are reasonably equipped and spacious. The staff were not rude, but quite dazed.
I was apalled at the service and hygiene. Whe we arrived late at night the sheets had not been changed, had hair and eyelashes everywhere, and the bath had pubic hair strewn about. I had to complain and clean my own bath and change my own sheets as the person at reception refused to engage with the issue further than give me a new set of badly overused, mangled and stained sheets. Without new pillowcases. the next night we returned to find the orignal dirty sheet we had stripped from the bed had been reinstalled on it, along with the mangy blanket and everything. The maid had simply picked them off the floor, where we piled them and made the bed again with them, taking away our clean (er) sheets! We were speechless and demanded to see the manager, but we were continuously told he is away. We chanhed our own sheets again, this time with some that had old blood stains on. Of course, after all this when we checked out we demanded to see the manager again and ask for a price reduction, although at this point we shold not have been expected to pay at all. We were told the manager will be here at 3 pm! As though we were obliged to wait on him and not voce versa. The new receptionist refused to phone the manager and I had the vety unpleasant experience of haggling with this person for a reduction. I am disgusted and outraged. This hotel has no idea what its staff is doing and nobody really cares. I will gomso far as to say that staying there may be a serious health risk.
Only good thing is close to metro
What was good was the personnel and tv channels. Clean linens and towels. Calm street
First of all you need to know that it is far from Tour Eiffel and the main street. I know there is metro going everywhere in Paris, but at 12.15 when the metro near Tour Eiffel was closed, we couldnt know what to do. We had to take night buses to reach Nation, where the hotel is. We had to walk for two hours to reach main bus station. Then went to Bastille, near to Nation ( by metro of course), From Bastille to Nation we had to take a walk. So make sure that, it is hard to hang around at night if you stay here. Also, wifi didnt work. When we said it to reception, they gave us another wifi web and code. But it didnt work either.
unprofessional staffs & smoky smell in the room
the staff always playing jokes on me and my friends and the cleanliness is terribe ,so many bugs and died spiders!
Cozy and cean.
Very old furniture. Seagulls crying all night.
Rather clean Nice and helpful staff Great location
Lack of soundproofing — you can hear all your neighbours Wi-fi is not stable
The room was nice and not too small. The staff was kind and helpful. The location is great, the street is quiet and near metrostation Nation. We didn't have the breakfast so I don't know about that. All in all great value for money!
It was a pity we couldn't get a late check-out, but normal check-out turned out to be 12.00 so that is already quite late.
