From the moment you walk in the staff is just wonderful and friendly. The location is fantastic, the private beach, the deck and beach chairs. The restaurant has delicious cheffy food. There are lovely restaurants at the marina 15 minutes walk away. They delivered whatever you asked, eg I needed a kettle and they brought it.
The room was on the small side, but that is what we paid for. We would have liked coffee making facilities in the room, however they were very quick with bringing coffee from room service.
Setting Atmosphere Private beach Views
Food - excellent View - subject to provisos Service - generally very good
- room: no balcony - partial sea view sold as full sea view - room decor "un peu fade" - hotel decor - rather gloomy - new buildings spoil garden / view - maitre d at restaurant disagreeable - all at a very very high price
Great breakfast and location. Very attentive and friendly staff
Small room size

The overall ambiance the staff were lovely and the pool beautiful a first class hotel. Service as it should be.
Room was a little small
Fantastic hotel in a wonderful location. The staff are lovely and very helpful. The refurbished rooms are absolutely wonderful. Great pool, wonderful beach. It's expensive, but it's worth it for a special occasion.
The only downside is the restaurant. The food is good, but only good - and when you can go to VilleFranche or Cap Ferrat for fantastic meals at the same price, you'd be mad not to! Breakfast is a total rip-off.

Staff was very friendly. The location is one of the best in south of france. The historical architecture of the hotel is unique.
The restaurant staff made it a memorable experience for me. No restaurant in Paris would take the time to speak to us let alone describe each dish to us with such expertise and with such beautiful manners. I'll never forget the wonderful dinner we had there. Each staff member in the restaurant made it a memorable experience for us, and that includes the bar staff when I didn't know what to order, they made me a special cocktail to enjoy which was perfect!
When checking out they charged us for a breakfast we didn't have (possibly because we upgraded our room and they saw the old room charge) but they corrected the mistake. The reason we upgraded was the first room was small and the carpet and bed cover looked worn and soiled. The bigger room was clean and wonderful.
The room The Staff The food Help with our activities Attention to detail Everyone was so friendly Incredible ability to cater for every request (e.g. hire car on a Sunday)
Can't think of anything apart from the fact that we are disappointed that we live so far away, we cannot visit more regularly.
Pool area was lovely. Restaurant food and service was good.
Room was small and next to lift well, plus road/train noise. Only 1 restaurant, with no informal eating area.
Absolutely beautiful hotel ... staff were all really lovely ... service was excellent in every way ... we really enjoyed our stay and we will definitely visit again
Great service. Peaceful surroundings. Beautiful hotel
Outstanding location and what a view.
Fantastic hotel, but you really need to get a sea view room. Our room overlooked the pool on out to the sea. Wow!! Yes, it is a pricier hotel but the view, pool, walkway down the seaside, and parking were all included! Good restaurants within walking. The hotel included breakfast even though it was not included in my reservation.
The staff were incredibly attentive. The proximity to the ocean and beach and gorgeous walkways. The buffet breakfast was rich in choices. We picked the hotel blindly based on its rating and we could not have made a better choice. We were absolutely thrilled with it.
Although taxis were plentiful and reached us quickly even on a Sunday, we felt that renting a car would have been better. The hotel is not secluded but the other villages (at least for us) were more than walking distance away.
The staff were very friendly, excellent location with a wonderful view!
The rooms are so small..
My husband and I had a thoroughly delightful stay at Royal Riviera. The hotel is beautiful and in a beautiful location with outstanding views of the sea. From the moment of our arrival when a staff member immediately appeared to park our car, the staff was very attentive to our needs. Upon registration, we were given a guided tour of the facility. We had two meals at the hotel, and both were wonderful. We particularly enjoyed the service at the dinner meal we had there. We had a lovely room with everything one would expect in this type of hotel, including turn-down service at night. We definitely would stay at the Royal Riviera again, should we return to the Cote d'Azur.
There is virtually nothing we didn't like about the hotel. I would say that getting around in the area of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat is not easy. There's a bus that runs from Monaco to Nice and back, but it was very often full. Driving in the area, even with gps, is really hard. Just something to consider.
