older building, poor breakfast
Wifi really slow. It's like electricity and water in this day and age. Time to upgrade the routers.
Location, rooms were clean and well kept. Staff was friendly and spoke English.
Price was high but expected with location. Weather was unusually hot and AC did not work in our room but the staff quickly reacted with a room fan.
The hotel is located just off the Boukevard St Michel - ideal for all of the attractions there.
The hotel is clearly in need of some attention. The plumbing in particular needs updating. We had quite a strong unpleasant smell from our bathroom.
Close proximity to all the sights, good buses and trains nearby. Good breakfast in a cramped room. Staff helpful on all aspects that we needed.
Air conditioning not very good on a hot period in July. Dining room too small for the amount of guests catered for at the hotel.
Location, friendly staff, quality of breakfast
Size of lift, 2 people just. Small dining room, wait for breakfast at busy times. AC not very efficient.
Cleanliness and Location good. Good places to eat close by.
One-man lift to the top floor was useless and staircase a little worrying
Location, modernity, cleanliness, breakfast
If you like to walk, you can walk to many of the most popular sites. Wonderful breakfast! Everything you can ask for!
Breakfast room is very small....sometimes had to wait for a table. We had a room with three single beds. The size was adequate but we were cramped. We found the cost quite high but the location more than made up for that.
Near Metro that goes about everywhere. Price was good,
Frankly, the area is not for me. It is a fun area for newbies to Paris, but I lived where I took the train in twice a month for 5 years, and found other areas I preferred much more. (It was the place we stayed our first time, but one can't re-kindle the past.) Loud, ,almost nonexistent A/C, internet available seldom, pretend French food, barkers at restaurants to get you to come in? Really? Staff not helpful, & would not attempt to let me use French. Ask for a large room not facing the street where the A/C works. If you are a foodie, do not miss the Grande Epicerie at the Bon Marche!
Incredible location a stone's throw form Notre Dame Close to the RER from the airport Close to the Latin Quarter
A/C worked hard without much effect
The location is excellent. Right off the plaza St Michel and close to the Seine. The Latin Quarter and St German de Prés is at the doorstep.
The Room was very small for three people and extremely hot. The air conditioning did not work properly. No extra amenities, such as bath slippers were available.
The location was very good The room was fair The breakfast was ok
The elevator was very old and had room for only two persons standing very close. The breakfast room was very small, only 9 tables, quite a bit of queue.
Very good location Ok room size
Very slow wifi My friend's room's air con is not cold enough, and they refuse to fix, with a bad attitude One of the smallest lift I've ever seen, can fit only 2 thin people at most Doubt if there's another staircase in case of fire.
Loved the location. Walking distance to the louvre and Notre dame cathedral. Plenty of restaurants and shops very close. Steps from RER train and metro.
Tiny elevator- We were on 5th floor. Winding staircase.
Location is excellent
Very small breakfast room so you had to either get there very early or wait in a long queue. The lift is ridiculously small and can just about fit two people in it at a squeeze
Small lift facility
Location is excellent! The room was VERY small but that was expected. Make sure you do not have any cloths that require ironing. The room was quiet despite facing a busy street.
The air conditioning did not work. We stayed there in the hit of July. Complains did not help. Other guests seemed to be able to exchange the room. We decided not to ruin the vacation by arguing.
We arrived early and we're able to check in to save us waiting around. The staff we're very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and had a fantastic view from the 5th floor. Breakfast was lovely and we were able to order to the room to avoid queues. Everywhere was spotless and we would definitely go back. Free wifi was a definite bonus.....a great trip and value for money :)
very well situated, good isolation of windows
our daughter is in the wheel chair, to the lift 4 stairs, lift extrem small, 2 evy thin persons fit in! room for breakfast very small
Comfortable bed, nice toiletries products, excellent breakfast, helpful staff, great location near restaurants and tourist sites, clean.
Cramped room (excess furniture in a small space); air conditioning did not work well in the rooms and window did not open so it was very warm - had to have a fan brought to the room.
The location was fantastic
The staff were not that friendly and the welcome on the first night was poor. The breakfast was awful with a tiny restaurant and missing items from the menu everyday. Even though it was open until 11am, food was unavailable from 10am and when asked was refused to be topped up. One day there were no croissants - when asked I was confronted with a very poor attitude - really how can a French Hotel not have croissants at 10am!!! Two days there was no ketchup, one day no butter, scrambled egg not refilled one day, no strawberry jam another day! We were never offered milk for tea and constantly asked for every little thing. The saving grace was the male waiter who was there for one day only and tried very hard, the ladies were not very gracious but it could have been the language barrier, or not!. The restaurant was not big enough for the amount of guests and people were turned away and made to come back! We booked this hotel based on our experience in a similar property in Istanbul which was fantastic, this however was not but the rooms were adequate and location fantastic.
The breakfast room was a bit small
Location is superb - right next to Metro Saint Michel and plenty of good restaurants / cafes in the neighborhood.
Too expensive vis-a-vis other hotels I frequent in Paris. Wanted to try something new and it just doesn't match up.
Excellent location. Good bathroom if small. Good beds. Excellent breakfast when able to get it!
Staff were efficient if a little brusque. Lift very small and difficulties getting luggage up to 3rd floor (and down again!). Room with great outlook but very tight for space. Breakfast room far too small and people often waiting with staff, two only, very stressed coping. Not really 4 star.
