Why I decided this hotel - that was the location and the posibility of triple room They noted in internet, that hotel was completely renoveted in 2009, what was not true at all!!! Hotel has good location, but the interior is old, the bathroom is old and too small. I finded the price of this hotel so high, it has category like two stars and not three, they declare. The breakfast was good. |

location was convenient, breakfast was nice and staff friendly the shower had no curtain or holder so had to hold hose by yourself, a bit fiddly and ended up soaking the whole bathroom |

The location is very convenient, not far from "Gare du Nord". We had a very big room (suitable for 4 persons, while we were only two). |

Good location – easy to reach with public transport (although close to the red-light district). Charming 19th-century atmosphere. Poor soundproofing (or loud neighbors). |

The hallway was beautiful. Staff really friendly and nice. Breakfast included and served nicely. Sex-shops start right next door. My room smelled really disgusting- no air conditioning, really bad smell. The walls, curtains, bed spread, carpet- everything were stinking really strongly of tobacco and ? I tried to keep out of my room as much as I could during our two-night stay. I bought an air re-freshener to make the smell slightly more tolerable but it did not help. Old blanket in the bed, mattress was unpleasantly stained, really old small television set. Shower was the smallest one I have ever seen. Toilet seat right behind the bathroom door, if someone opens the door from outside without warning goodbye nose and knee caps! The room would have needed a total renovation. Three star hotel??? |

Nothing! I based my selection on customer reviews and I must have stayed at a different hotel than the reviewers! The hotel is 20 feet away from three solid blocks sex shops peep shows and XXX video and porn shopping. I am a single woman and did not feel comfortable in the location. The carpets, paint and furniture were dirty chipped and worn. The doors slam so loudly you are startled every time someone closed their door. The final straw was the rumble of the train that vibrated the hotel every seven minutes from 5 am until midnight both days and nights I was there. I could go on and on!!! See above |

Excellent location - easy walking distance from train station and most of the main tourist attractions. Nice french feel and very friendly and helpful staff. Was nice suprise to be able to see tip of the Eiffel Tower from room window too! Did get busy at breakfast time - they perhaps needed a few more tables set out. |

Rooms were not available until 5pm, when they should be ready by 3pm, thus ruining our afternoon as we had to wait around, breakfast was disorganised, seating area cramped, service appalling. Staff organised a taxi for us to Eifffel tower after advising us it was beter than getting from the street, we got ripped off as the taxi charged not from the hotel but from the taxi office, cost us 33 euro's. When we came back it cost us 15 euros including tip. When I returned the hotel manager said that he was aware of this rip off, so i think there is a scam going on between the hotel and taxi firm G7. |

Good price, stylish design of the hotel, Location is rather convenient but not for those who deals badly with maps and metro It was terribly hot outside and without the conditioner it was a real disaster! I won't recommend to stay here in summer. Also breakfast is very poor: drinks, bread, cheese and corn flakes |

Central location. Lots of character. Shabby bathroom, corridors, sometimes with dirty washing in them |

Most of all we liked lift, reception interior, good location for going to city. Most of all we were disappointed with breakfast- it was really poor, no choice of any fruit, yougurt, juices, any warm food, which suppose to be in the hotel of 3 stars. Also we missed tea and coffee facilities in the room. |

I was looking for an hotel good enough regarding the rate, that should reflect the French well known "boeme" style, with an oldish atmosphere, French breakfast, clean rooms - I found them and I like them. Nothing bad about the hotel - only the sex shops were too many around, |

This is a lovely, old-world hotel, complete with ancient elevator! Room was clean and well presented. Breakfast was good quality. Highly recommended. |

I liked the way the place looked and the man at the front desk was very nice. I was a little surprised that it's on the sex shop street of London... However, the maids yelled at us in French because we had problems opening our door. The waitress for breakfast had an attitude, and they didn't tell us upon arrival when check-out was or that there was a free breakfast (things I knew, yes, but they should have made sure I knew them.) |

proximity to Montmartre and Moulin Rouge. Breakfast was a good start to the day. Interesting historical account of the hotel and its famous absinthe. Reception staff were good Very noisy. At the front from road traffic and at the back from poor internal insulation, and loud chattering cleaning staff. |

Being within Paris city centre and convenient for getting about. Suppose cheapest option within the city itself. Also some people may not like the de'cor but we found it very interesting. Had nice views from both the rooms we booked. Kids loved the 3 man little lift...and or climbing the stairs. Lucky though we didnt have much carry luggage. All in all not bad! Small bathroom with shower appliance defect. It's a very basic room. No aircon and being in heart of red light district means alot of noise filters through to your room as you have to leave windows open at night..! Breakfast area was too packed/small, maybe they should discount the rate ie. For cost of the breakfast or charge additional for those wishing to have breakfast which may reduce the traffic. Also one little waitress servicing all the guests is not good and despite her best efforts you could see she was stressed. Wifi too inconvenient didnt bother going through all trouble to access the internet. |
