nice bathroom, handy for station and travelers without a car; we were able to leave our luggage

some noise outside, slightly insalubrious area at night time, as is often the case with station hotels of course!

What we liked most about the hotel was the fact that we didn't have to pay ahead when we made the booking and also we could cancel it free of charge provided that we give a 24 hour notice. The location is excellent and we were given a quiet room (and the tv is hd)

Slightly expensive when we include breakfast (8 euros per person). .

Nice hotel in perfect location,tram stops just outside, railway station 200 meteres away and main square 3 minutes walk away.We were on rugby trip and booked four double rooms for single occupancy so,bags of space big bed ,nice bathroom with walk in shower,all very clean,also good size flat screen TV.Staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast for 8 euros was more than adequate.Nice city Montpellier with plenty of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance of hotel.We would have no problem using Hotel Royal again and hope we get another match down there.Might even take my wife next time!

Hotel Royal is opposite the train station and easy to find and is in a great location for shopping, art galleries and restuarants. The room was pretty and the bed comfortable, with lots of pillows. It is 5 minute walk to everywhere. We will stay again, and will recommend to family and friends. Staff spoke english and french, were very friendly and helpful. Even the chambermaid was friendly and chatty. Thank- you Hotel Royal

The 2nd floor room with large balcony overlooking the main street, was lovely. The view went all the way to the Place Comedie, the pedestrian centre of Montpellier. The hotel is very well cituated, close to the old quarter, the main pedestrian centre and the shops.

There was no facilities for eating at the hotel after breakfast. The room has no drinks making facilities for tea or coffee. All the lights in the corridors and stairs were motion activated, and didn't come on for quite a while, and were quite dim.

The room was smelling and it was not clean I think it s too expensive for the condition of the rooms etc

Excellent location within walking distance of train station and city centre. Room was clean, well appointed, anf buffet breakfast was also good.

one small dislike was that shower head holder was no more than 2ft from ground and therefore only of use to Ronnie Corbett and friends

The staff was friendly and very responsive. Great location close to the centre of Montpellier and the train station. Breakfast was plentiful and good value for money.

Room could use some updating but at least clean and a nice bathroom.

It was very close to the Station, just a two or three minute walk. It was stylish with very comfortable, clean rooms. It was quiet and we slept well. The staff were very helpful.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Changed our room promptly for a better one when we noticed a bit of a smell.
