Centre of Montpellier good for overnight stay after landing at airport late. Clean, well decorated, helpful staff, nice bathroom.

Parking not very good. Nearesr public car park is around 500meteres away, not good when yolu have heavy luggage. Access to drop off at hotel restricted as hotel is situated alongside a tramline.

Short walk from station and to main square, cafe and shops. Comfortable rooms but not very spacious. A little noisy at night if the room is on the street side. Very helpful staff.

A few noisy people walking past late at night woke us , but they moved on quickly. Rom was comfortable but not large.

Lovely staff and fantastic location.

I chose this hotel because I had an early train to catch and it was just up the street from the station. But it turned out to be a very good choice for the pleasant and helpful welcome, the quiet, well equipped and confortable room and the varied self service breakfast. The concierge lent me an umbrella as rain was menacing. And the price is reasonable. Who can ask for more!

The location within Montpellier was excellent - - very close to the train station which served as our base for day trips on the wonderful rail system, very close to wonderful dining and shopping, and easily accessible to Montpellier's 21st century transportation system. The facility is simple but clean and well kept. The staff was very welcoming, genuinely helpful and willing to try to communicate in English to two Americans who spoke virtually no French. We would highly recommend this "diamond in the rough." '

Location, friendly staff, breakfast, proper heating,i stayed in one of their renovated and quiet rooms.

THe location of the hotel is great, in the heart of the city, and near the train station, tramway and buses station. itùs very convenient for travelling and visiting the city. the hotel is very clean and the location is very quiet.

Nice hotel in perfect location,tram stops just outside, railway station 200 meteres away and main square 3 minutes walk away.We were on rugby trip and booked four double rooms for single occupancy so,bags of space big bed ,nice bathroom with walk in shower,all very clean,also good size flat screen TV.Staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast for 8 euros was more than adequate.Nice city Montpellier with plenty of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance of hotel.We would have no problem using Hotel Royal again and hope we get another match down there.Might even take my wife next time!

Hotel Royal is opposite the train station and easy to find and is in a great location for shopping, art galleries and restuarants. The room was pretty and the bed comfortable, with lots of pillows. It is 5 minute walk to everywhere. We will stay again, and will recommend to family and friends. Staff spoke english and french, were very friendly and helpful. Even the chambermaid was friendly and chatty. Thank- you Hotel Royal

Excellent location within walking distance of train station and city centre. Room was clean, well appointed, anf buffet breakfast was also good.

one small dislike was that shower head holder was no more than 2ft from ground and therefore only of use to Ronnie Corbett and friends
