Hôtel Mercure Royal Limousin  

Free parking just opposite the hotel and in a great location. Worth paying the extra for a superior room with a balcony.

Liked the shower with the extra sprays. Bed was very comfortable - no plastic sheeting on the mattress. It was quiet despite being very central. Good express breakfast service in bar, served quickly and efficiently, 3 croissants, coffee and orange juice for seven euros..

The service is very good and the rooms are clean.

This hotel (or at least the rooms we were given) is shouting for some investment. Thirty year old decor covered in cigarette burns, no shower curtain, slow wfi. And we had so-called Superior rooms

Huge room. Very comfy bed + pillows. Fridge + safe + desk+ air conditioning in room. Plenty of storage space. Lovely view over square + town.Lovely breakfast. All staff friendly & helpful - who can speak English - but let me practice my French on them. Fast Wi-fi available everywhere - reception staff provide an access code for each 24 hours. A couple of hours after I checked out, the hotel staff phoned to let me know I hadI left a blouse behind & offered to post it to me. The hotel doesn't do luch / evening meals - but there are dozens of small restauraunts within a couple of minutes walk, and an evening room service for meals is available.

The square is a social arena in the centre of a city, so it is noisy. The outside of the hotel is 70s concrete, along with many other buildings in the city - though the inside is excellent. Be aware that the wifi link is not secure - but the staff do highlight this. If I ever stay near Limosges again, this is the first hotel I would consider. Not the responsibilty of the hotel - Limosges has 21st century traffic - & the fumes in the city are bad.

The hotel was very comfortable and within walking distance of shops, restaurants and the theatre, which was the reason that we were in Limousin to attend the opera. We woild use the hotel again.

la chambre était trés spacieuse , le balcon est sympa ( j'étais au 1er étage.) Le lit est grand ( 2 lits collés); emplacement en plein centre.

L'odeur de tabac froid .j'avais demandé de préférence une chambre non fumeur mais visiblement il n'y en avait plus ( j'ai réservé la dernière disponible : une luxe standard avec balcon ) Elle était au 1er étage qui est un étage fumeur.Par ailleurs, malgré le confort de cet hôtel ( c'est un mercure 3 étoiles! ) je l'ai trouvé bruyant ( des clients à l'étage ont fait du bruit très tard ( pas de chance) , on entend les volets roulants électriques ( tard le soir et tôt le matin ) , bruit également des chasses d'eau et sanitaires .

Bruyant (chambre du dessus mal isolée bruits de pas incessants. Équipements douche de piètre qualité bien que presque neufs. Éclairage bureau insuffisant.

L'amabilité du personnel, le confort, la situation géographique idéale en ce qui me concernait.

Excellent hotel.

L'hotel propose la restauration au restaurant mitoyen qui n'est pas du tout au niveau de l'hotel. Le cadre est d'une froideur glaciale. On n'a qu'une envie, c'est de diner le plus vite possible et repartir à l'hotel.

Très bien situé, très propre, chambre spacieuse, excellent room service.
