We were directed to the Blue and White beach club where we would be called when our rooms were ready: 1) the club facilities were fully reserved; 2) we were not called, but on returning to the hotel some hours later found that the rooms had been made ready. Rooms on the second floor on the side of the building (overlooking the car park, road, neighbouring restaurants, etc - and eventually a site of the sea) did not exactly conjure up the description listed on the booking as "private balcony with sea views".
I last stayed in St Aygulf 55 years ago. Boy, has it grown.
Rooms were good, clean, modern. Staff were helpful and friendly. Parking was easy. Restaurant was expensive, but food and service were good. Breakfast was good, and good value. A good position for the hotel, with beaches and facilities conveniently close.
