Saint Georges Nice  

It's located within walking distance of the main train station in Nice as well as the beach promenade. It takes just 20 mins by taxi from the Nice international airport. Hotel staff is helpful and friendly. The rooms are basic and functional.

The hotel is fairly basic and perhaps can do with a change in carpets, beds and furnishings. Our bathroom is quite new but our friends in the adjacent room got an old bathroom. For the price we paid for, I would have expected a little better and more modern facilities. I would recommend this hotel to my friends if only the rate is lower in keeping with the level of facilities.

The hotel is open 24/24, which is quite convenient when you come back late at night. It is very central in the city, and completely quiet at night.

The hotel had to endure an electricity break for one full day, and that was not too convenient. However, the persons in charge did great to find solutions, and they argued extensively with city and electricity services to find one.

The hotel was very quiet at the time (end of March), not many people. Breakfast was tasty but not much honestly. Central localisation is a plus. Clean.

Rooms are basic. My room (28) had no bath just a shower and bathroom itself is not very good isolated from the room.

Realy this hotel was not 3***, only 2**. Internet WiFi was not working and for the whole day was not restored.

We could walk from the train station. We were close to the main street with the light rail; the old town and restaurants; and the airport. It worked well for us.

The hotel is very well situated for all public transport, shops & restaurants. The staff are friendly, breakfast room is bright & cheery. Our room was at the back which meant it was quiet & peaceful. Soundproofing is excellent. The furniture seems to be quite new & the bed was extremely confortable.

The lift does not operate smoothly, the air-conditioning was erratic & the drinks machine was out of order(we did speak about these matters during our stay, carpets are worn, some of the decor is a bit shabby - especially in the window/balcony area. Eg. Curtains & outside paintwork.

The hotel situation is well placed for the the beach and the centre of Nice. The hotel bedrooms and the general areas do need to be updated. The decoration is somewhat outdated and very "tired looking". The bedrooms need to be modernised. The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful

Location

Within Hotel & Catering, it is important to ensure the little details are seen to before the pre-arrival stage. From my stay, I encountered very poor cleanliness in the bedroom. The room could have done with a good dusting, light bulbs in the room should have checked to ensure all were working, the tiles in the bathroom needed replacing especially in the shower where mould has been growing. From witnessing this, I felt uncomfortable to have a shower. Television cable was very dangerous in the room which would put the safety of the guest at risk as well as the sockets in the room. Very disappointed with the room in total and the staff member just noted it on departure. It is vital when the guest leaves they are happy as they are potential customers in the future as well as promoting the establishment.
