We stayed over New Years, the reception staff (the lady) was so helpful and accommodating. Once we checked out they looked after our cases. The room was clean and comfortable (lovely bathroom). We had breakfast in our room, but did go to the breakfast room once, which was fine. We would stay again.
That we couldn't get a cup if coffee at tea time.
Good location and easily accessible to all tourist attractions with the metro station less than 5 mins walk away. Great cafes nearby. Hotel has an old-style charm with beautiful traditional decor. Cosy and comfortable.
Walls are thin. Can also hear some traffic noise along the road. Rooms doors, while old-style, was hard to lock, open and close. Lift is very tiny and tight.
The location if the hotel, near the 5th and 6th quarters. It has a very nice old french style decoration
A bit noisy
Location, staff and cleanliness.
The staff The location
That breakfast was not satisfying By the time I came down for breakfast many things were over and not refilled
The staff, The Antique building and location
The room was very small, with a faint damp smell, noisy air-conditioning, breakfatsswas 14 EU and one had to pay an extra 2 EU for a boiled egg!
Really feels I am in Paris. Elegant and beautiful place.
Classy old styled hotel very nice in center of paris
Love our room, very comfortable bed, & staff are very friendly & helpful.
Decor of the hotel Location in the Latin Quarter which is highly quirky Convenience to many sights Convenience to vast range of excellent restaurants Breakfast was good
Underground breakfast room
Staff were extremely friendly. The room was comfortable though a bit small. Its a nice location too. Overall we were very pleased with our stay and will consider the place again on our next visit to Paris :)
location room elegance cusomer service overall charm
Friendliness of staff; huge bathroom by European standards.
Facing the back street was a little noisy with pedestrians out late at night and disturbed sleep.
the location the atmosphere the friendly and helpful staff the interior, especially the ceilings the lobby bar the bathroom
Breakfast, good location, staff
Location & nice stuff & breakfast
The lobby was nice
Everything else. It's on a very busy street and noise is constant -- day and night. They advertise sound proofing and a bathtub, I got neither. Elevator is so small you can barely get in. Hallways so narrow a large person would have to turn sideways. Hallways and room decor is warn and depressing. Not at all like the pictures. Very small room. Hallways only lighted as you walk through. Stairways never lighted at all. Had to use stairs because elevator was so small I was scared to get in. It's very expensive and not worth a third the price. The people are nice until you ask them to do something and then they get very snippy.
very small rooms. very old interior which needs immediate renovation. too expensive for offered comfort and fasciitis.
Standard room a bit small Bathroom very small Expensive enough
A large lovely room and wonderful staff in the right location was not overshadowed by the fact that it is an old property with a tiny elevator and worn carpets. We will return.
The location was the key factor in booking this hotel and it was brilliant. We walked to the Gare du Nord to get the RER to Disneyland Paris which was so straightforward. Walked along the Left Bank every day to get to the main sights.A major plus was these were the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in, shame there was too much noise to get a good nights sleep...
If there was soundproofing in the room (one of the ones on the front) we didn't notice! Not only traffic noise but noise from the rooms around us. Breakfast was adequate, definitely had better in other hotels. If guests are tall (over 6 foot) or on the larger size they may have had trouble using the shower which was tiny.
Nice hotel and great location . Staff is very friendly and helpfull. Interior design is very nice if you like antic furniture.
Wifi with restrictions, breakfast not included and very expensive for what they offer 14Euros/person for bread butter jam tea or coffee 1 small glass of juice ham cheese and croisants, Eggs cost extra 2 Euro each( hellooooo). Price is really for a 4 star hotel with free breakfast but you only get 3star hotel and no breakfast.Rooms are very small and we had problems because was not enough space for 2 suitcases.
Attractive, comfortable, hotel in a central location. staff helpful and welcoming, room and facilities good and very clean. Period decor attractive.
Absolutely elegant & charming neighborhood, this is real Paris. Lots of locals and students, not touristy at all. Short walking distance to Notre Dame, Pantheon, Luxembourg park etc. Velib city bike stand right in front of hotel (the best way to explore the city). Room no. 6 (basic double room) was charming, classical parisian style with magnificient roof decorations etc. Lovely, big balcony overlooking rue des Ecoles. Room very spacious and clean. Recently renowated bathroom. Typical parisian breakfast was good but not that special: fresh bread, croissants, raisin rolls and pain au chocolat + jams, cereals, youghurt, cheese, ham, salmon + excellent coffee / tea. For extra price they also make omelets, bacon, eggs etc.
Bed and pillow were too hard and uncomfortable. Street side rooms can be a bit noisy at times but that wasn't a major issue for us. Generally speaking, rue des Ecoles is a rather quiet street with not that much traffic.
