Near to and walking distance to the centre of Chinon

Very nice people

It was clean, comfortable and just what we needed. It was a bright hotel and appeared well cared for. For us it was in the right place as it was near to the sights of Chinon without being in the centre. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was exceedingly good with plenty of choice and good value for money.

We stayed at the hotel as a stopover for one night only. Whilst there, we were impressed with the friendly reception and we enjoyed the buffet breakfast.

The lack of parking space would deter us from booking this hotel again as when returning from holiday with a packed car a secure parking space is vital. Although we were able to park opposite the hotel, it was not ideal.

Location and staff: room clean and standard for rating.

Car parking restricted: no tea/coffee facilities in room.

Excellent value for the money. Convenient to visit Chateaux in Loire Valley. Close to excellent choice or restaurants in Chinon. Owners very welcoming and willing to assist in making bookings for restaurants etc.

Wifi offered but with limited access due to weak signal. Not available in bedrooms.

Excellent location, just across the river in Chinon. The hosts were very happy to go that extra bit to help out.

there were no facilities in the rooms for making a drink. The towels were a bit small. Limited provision of bathroom accessories - eg shampoo/soaps etc

Have used Hotel many times,great value,good for using as a base for sightseeing,did not spend much time in the Hotel,we ate out every night in the Town of Chinon which is only 300 yds away and a lovely walk every evening beside the river,rooms clean and showers work well,nice helpful couple who run the Hotel,will be back again.

Hotel clean everywhere, staff was very helpful. Quiet room and it was good size. We spend one night at the St-Jacques which is located on the other side of the river where most of the Chinon attractions are, just a 5 minute walk away. Parking is very limited and tight; but we had a compact car and parked without problem. Free Wi-Fi. Great for a quick layover.

The location was perfect for visiting Chinon without the hassle of parking. Albeit the room was clean and the staff were very helpful, the room we were in could do with better sound proofing as we could hear every thing that was said in the room next door !

Catherine and Jacques who managed the Hotel were very friendly and helpful. It had the feeling of a bed and breakfast but the services of a hotel.

The Manager/owner and his wife were very charming and helpful. Parking on premises. Very clean. room. Great continental breakfast. Just a 5 minute walk across the river to the older and medieval part of town and lifts to the Fortress If you don't already know, Chinon is a lovely place for a stop over.

Parking was available on site and the location was a short, pleasant walk across the bridge to the town centre. Good breakfast and friendly staff.

Wifi signal was bad, even in reception. Room smelled a little strange and the furnishings were a bit basic.

Convenient location - just 10 min walk over the bridge to the city centre. Clean rooms, good private parking and a good breakfast. Very friendly staff.
