Hotel Saint-Louis en L'Isle  

hotellet er fantastisk beliggende og smukt restaureret. Der er virkelig kræset for indretning og service er i top. Meget hjælpsomt personale. Vi boede på øverste etage med skøn udsigt. Området er fantastisk og man kommer man let rundt i Paris til begge sider af Seinen.

Beliggenheden er blandt de absolut bedste i Paris - lige midt i det hele mellem Marais og Latinerkvarteret. Ile St. Louis er et eksklusivt område, hvor der er dejligt stille om aftenen. Et super hotel til voksne der gerne vil undgå de overturistede steder i byen. Personalet var meget venlige og gode til engelsk.

Der var meget lydt med papirtynde vægge, så vi kunne høre vores glade naboer synge og snorke! Sengene var franske, dvs. en dobbeltseng er 140 cm bred og meget hård.

Wonderful location and it is lovely hotel putting finishing touches to a grand renovation! Room renovations are good and fixtures of good quality. I was surprised and very pleased that a hot pot with complimentary tea/coffee was in the room and that there was a small fridge with (reasonably priced) snacks/drinks. Buffet breakfast was a good value at 13 euros as it was "all you can eat" (breads, cold cuts, cheese, eggs, yogurt, cereals, coffee/tea/hot chocolate, jams) and for a small surcharge (3 euro) scrambled eggs can also be ordered. Another good point is that the hotel has their own clean shuttle one can book for the airports. The cost of the shuttle is included in your room rate, we just tipped the driver!

Safe was too small and laptop could not fit. For a hotel that offers free wifi the understanding is patrons would bring laptops but there is no secure place to store them! Hotel should indicate in their room descriptions that safe is a small size. Also, it was hard to control the room temperature...very hot (sauna-like) and we stayed last week of February. It would have been helpful to have instructions available for the heater - not intuitive. Final issue is that it took the hotel staff a long time to make up the room on the last couple of days of our 6-night stay. Several times, we came back in the late afternoon and the room was still not made up which makes it difficult as we just wanted to rest in the hotel before going out.

If you know Paris, you know the smaller of the two islands where this hotel is situated is the perfect location. Notre Dam is a short walk across the bridge and for the relatively hardy, you can also reach the Louvre and d'Orsay fairly easily on foot. Also, be sure to visit la Saint Chappelle and take in an intimate concert. The hotel itself absolutely exudes the beauty, history and charm of old Paris. We asked the staff to suggest a shellfish restaurant and were well pleased with his recommendation. We highly recommend this hotel for a romantic stay.

We loved the staff,very helpful and charming. Quite the joker ;d He gave us a room with a balcony.The room was wonderful, newly renovated. A quiet street,no noise and very close to the Notre Dame.We would love to stay there on our next trip to Paris!!

Great location, within easy walking distance to major Museums and Galleries. The hotel room was small but well presented, double glazing made the street noise below fade into the distance. The hotel is within walking distance to a range of cafes and restaurants and also close to a choice of metro stations nearby. The staff were really friendly and made us feel extremely welcome.

The hotel was easy to find and close to many metro lines which made travel to different points in Paris easy. The staff were very helpful in both recommendations and directions. The bed was comfortable, the room clean and the free use of an ipad was great! There is a small lift and a mini bar in the room. The bathroom floor does get quite wet since the shower door does not enclose the tub completely but this is a common situation in Europe. It is quite a small hotel but I have travelled to Paris three times and find this to be normal. If you are sightseeing and not spending a lot of time at the hotel then it is perfect. My 14 year old son wanted to visit Notre Dame (this was the main reason for our visit) and it was really nice that we were able to see it every morning as we went out and every evening as we returned. It was special to see Notre Dame lit up at night! I would definitely stay here again.

Charming, immaculate, centrally located hotel. The hotel is small and cozy, but full of character. Everything has been recently remodeled and the overall impression is of a more expensive hotel. Both of the members of the staff with whom we dealt were professional, helpful, and spoke excellent English. The hotel is located just behind the Notre Dame and is surrounded by restaurants and shops.

We have stayed in hotels with larger rooms, but considering the central location and the price, we can't really complain.

We had the misfortune to have a room next to some very noisy people, who slammed doors and talked loudly long after we had gone to bed. The sound proofing is poor.

The hotel is nicely renovated. The rooms are very small so if you are a person that needs to travel with large amounts of luggage then this is not the place for you. However, the rooms are nice with beautiful window that you can open up for a nice breeze. The bathrooms were very modern and clean. The staff spoke English well and were very friendly and helpful. The location is amazing....you can not get any better than right in the center of Paris!
