Lovely rooms, very close to the centre easy to get out and about to see the sites.
Staff were a little cold
Great location, very helpful stuff, nice breakfast
Wi-Fi in the room was slow
Value for money Excellent central location Friendly and helpful staff
Central location meant street noise audible in front facing bedrooms
Good location; polite staff; clean; bags of character
Very small safe in room
Like the character of the old hotel
Occasional loud noises from outside at all hours of the night
Located a short walk from the train station and the Vieux Port, the location is perfect for first time visitor to Marseille. The helpful staff was quick to smile and help with tips and directions.
Set just behind the head of the marina in the Morroccan quarter. We were there on Bastille night so the whole city was buzzing! Two minutes from the centre it ticked all the boxes for us. Strongly recommend it but note it is slightly tired in its appearance but compensates with great service.
Not much of a view.
Delightful hotel, good value for money. Lovely view from window on 5th floor. Did not have any problems with noise, would definitely go there again.
Very good location with a balcony near the Arab quarter.
The floor is not clean. If you would like a clean floor, find the cleaning lady, clean it yourself, or find another place.
The surrounding streets are dangerous
Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel is located 5 minutes from the Vieux Port in a quiet street. Breakfast was delicious and excellent value for money. Would highly recommend this hotel.
The street address is misleading. We were first brought by a taxi to Hotel Saint Louis down the street. That Hotel Saint Louis is an 'Hotel Meublé' which means it's sheltered housing for families. We almost cancelled our booking when we arrived there, luckily we saw our hotel down the street before we had time to cancel the booking. The fact that both hotels have the same name is confusing.
Within the budget and have a fine place to live in. Everything is acceptable, especially the location, easy to find and easy to go anywhere you want.
Close to the Port but quiet with stylish comfortable room, pleasant helpful staff
Great atmosphere and feel to the hotel. Good location and helpful staff.
Very helpful staff. Good breakfast. Close to everything.
Poor sound insulation.
Staff Local arabic shops around Near to port
Very old building. Location in night although nothing observed but still not feel okay to walk late at night.
The owner made us very welcome without being over the top and was ever so helpful. We told him we would recommend his premises to anyone and would happily stay there again ourselves
Enjoyed our stay. Excellent value
The staff very helpful especially carrying luggage up and down the stairs
nothing - some noise from outside
Ok you have to climb a flight of stairs from the street with an 18kg suitcase but it's worth it. I was delighted with my 1 night stay at this pretty boutique hotel and would have been more than happy to stay longer. The breakfast was worth getting out of bed for and the staff were the best
I am a traveler from way back so am comfortable staying in areas that wouldn't be up there with the best. The lively and colourful market is around the corner. If you aren't comfortable with an area with a slight edge avoid it and enjoy the rest of what Marseille had to offer
needed a hotel in the center of the city. quite good and clean for those who are not that fussy. good breakfast and clean, staff is helpful.
reception is at the and lift is also available from the 1st floor. hence you need to be fit to do some stairs to reach reception and your way up to the 1st floor.
Close to port, cafés, transport stations.
No elevator from ground floor
in the heart of all the action, close to the train station, the port and restaurants----the staff was exceptional especially Audrey!! would definitely stay there again!! thank you st. louis!!
Staff, and proximity to Old non-touristic Marseille.
All the cleaning gear on the landings--- narrow and dark stairs which are arguably inadequately lit and a potential source of accident due to bad lighting
