Hotel Saint Trophime  

The atmosphere at this hotel is unique but in keeping with the locale and very comfortable. Excellent breakfast for 9 euros extra; fresh squeezed orange juice was a nice touch. Lots of art, antique furniture (in a good way) and classic city mansion architecture made this a nice experience. Good WIFI and internet access was a welcome free service. Most comfortable bed and best linens of a 3+ week vacation trip to Provence.

Staff speak very little English despite being in a popular tourist city. Tv was out of order for the duration of our 3 day stay

Location of hotel in old area of city. Building is very old and holds some fine pieces of art. Bedroom was nicely furnished with art.

Our room faced on main street and was noisy first thing in the morning

The good thing about St trophime is the attempt to offer stylish & design- lead interiors with accessibility.

The only negative note out of an overall positive offer is the taps of basin and showers, which needed a good fix. Also lack of staff throughout the day ( but this can be immutable to the low season..still I think there should be always someone at call).

Polite staff, great location in the old city of Arles.

Although old, it was renovated but not very succesfully. The carpet had that awful smell (as all the rooms with carpet) and the bathroom was clean but old.

The receptionist was very helpful upon our arrival. The hotel is very conveniently located.

Location is very good, in a city centre, with a free parking in 10 minutes walking distance. We liked very much our room design (violet and purple colours reminding of lavanda). The staff was very helpful and welcoming.

No plug for basin, no holder for shower head, winter duvet in summer. All said we would stay again.

Total confusion over booking when we got there, said they couldn't find our booking, then after half an hour of bitter dispute they suddenly found it ! Shower broken, unable to get a proper shower...looked like it had been broken for a very long time. The shower screen had been fitted outside of the bath allowing all the water just to cascade on the floor...very strange !!,, no light in bathroom. The whole room needed some serious upgrading. Absolutely right in the middle of all all the attractions, only about 30 meters from the main square and all the restaurants.( I read in some previous reviews about this hotel that were exactly the same as ours re the booking issue and the bathrooms) room 21

Jolie déco. Hyper bien situé au pied des arènes d'Arles.Chambre un peu sombre mais confortable et propre.

Proximité du centre à pied, copieux petit déjeuner, possibilité de réserver une place de garage, personnel sympathique

Difficulté d'accès (même avec gps !) dans des rues très étroites, possibilité de garage très contraignante (horaires limités et nécessité de faire appel à un voiturier). Par ailleurs, décor vieillot et beaucoup de négligences (bouton chasse d'eau cassé, idem pour celui de la douche, tapisserie abîmée)

La télé ne fonctionnait pas, pas de rangement dans les chambres, des fuites d'eau. C'est très dommage car le style de l'hôtel est vraiment joli. Le gérant n'est pas toujours aimable.

Hôtel très bien situé, accueil excellent. Chambre spacieuse, décorée avec goût, très raffinée, romantique, un petit nid douillet pour amoureux... Idéal pour apprécier les charmes de la ville d'Arles. Je dois avouer que j'ai choisi l'hôtel en fonction de son emplacement mais aussi de son nom, j'ai bien fait et j'en garderai un excellent souvenir avec le désir d'y revenir un jour.
