The staff was friendly and very helpful. Room was comfortable . Great location.
Mattress cover made sleeping hot. Next to school so noisy during the day.
Very close to all the main attractions and shopping
Very small room even for europe
The location was excellent, only a 5 minute walk to the old centre. Situated down a quiet road, but with good restaurants and bars around the corner. Very quiet and clean, with a lovely stone staircase and characterful fire place in the room.
You can find better breakfasts outside of the hotel, so in my opinion it isn't worth spending the extra 8 euros pp.
staff, room, value
Excellent staff and the hotel was very clean and of great standard in fantastic area of the City. I will recommend this hotel as well as the City to friends and family. Many thanks! Liam Campbell
Had small problem with the wifi
this is a probably a repurposed building, that they've converted into a hotel. rooms are large, but quirky. not for those that are used to .modern amenities.. definite two star, but not bad value if you're looking for a clean room to sleep in. petite dejeuner is worth considering as it's good value.
location, not the best and hard to find. rooms are floor noisy [old wood floors], and not well insulated from each other. room furniture is very basic.
Great location and the staff are very helpful
Bed was a bit hard
The people were very friendly; the service excellent; the room was clean and spacious; the breakfast was excellent value for the money. .
The room could do with a dresser rather than the open wire frame; the bathroom is a bit cramped (looks like a design error).
Small hotel with helpful, friendly staff. Good location for proximity to attractions.
No air con and noisy bin lorries at 0430.
Location excellent - staff advised on parking but would have appreciated this beforehand. Friendly, helpful staff. Charming building. Excellent WIfi and wonderful breakfast.
Stairs might be a problem for some guests.
Nice location, helpfull staff.
The hot water is problematic, you have to wait a lot. The rooms were cold and not very comfortable
A nice old house and nice atmosphere, with a very good location in the heart ofta the city.
Very close to the town centre, clean room, wide and comfortable bed, wide and clean bathroom, air conditioning working.
The price was too high for what was offered, television not working, impossible to use electric devices in the bathroom, blankets were not changed the second day, the brakfast was not included.
excellent location, professional staff, comfortable room
Helpful staff who spoke English without complaint ! Close to the historic sites. 24 hr desk. Restaurant "Archange" within a couple of minutes walk, absolutely fabulous restaurant. A very basic hotel two star hotel but that is reflected in the price.
Very noisy location (but it was the night France were knocked out of the world cup ). Uncomfortable bed, small shower enclosure, manual shower valve & no air conditioning.
The , Staff Jack and Pierre were excellent, The location is superb and whilst the rooms are basic they reflect the price paid and the character of the hotel.
Nothing , great value for money
single room at a low price in the city; calm.
Location, friendly staff, service
Noise from other rooms
Having friendly staff that speak English was great. Great location able to walk everywhere staff helpful with local information.
Powerpoint in bathroom would be helpful.
The hotel was in a great location, very convenient for the old town, croix rousse and a great variety of restaurants...Restaurant Albert is a must. The staff were so kind and helpful nothing was too much trouble. The area is friendly and safe and you really feel part of it while staying there.
Great location. Friendly staff. 24hr reception. All good. Very happy with my stay.
This hotel has a lot of old French charm and character. Rooms are very clean and the staff is friendly and professional. The location is steps away from the famous trompe l'oeil murals. The doors are flimsy and even with the deadbolt, anyone could kick the door in. No need to worry though, the hotel is very safe and as a solo traveler, I was not concerned. There is free wifi, which is great, but I had to be near a window for it to work effectively. I don't think it's a problem in the lobby.
The walls are very thin and when my neighbors were coming and going, it sounded like they were trying to get into my room (they weren't). I could hear their voices very clearly. Luckily I was exhausted from a day of exploring and slept through any further noise.
The staffs were helpful.
Neither wi-fi nor elevator.
