The location was great, really easy to find. The staff were very helpful and the room was just right. Nothing too over the top, but very comfortable and well appointed for a relatively cheap rate (for a city). I'd recommend it for travellers looking for a reasonable rate for exploring Paris but aren't too bothered about luxurious surroundings. No view from the room I had but I didn't intend spending much time in the room anyway.

The hotel was well placed for visiting central Paris, just a 10 minute walk to Notre Dame and within a few minutes' walk from two different Metro lines, one of which links (at Cluny La Sorbonne) to the rer b going to Charles de Gaulle airport. The room I was staying in was spacious as was the fully-tiled, modern bathroom which also had a full sized bath and great shower. The only negative thing was that there was no aircon which would have been a bonus during the really hot weather, but they had provided an electric fan. The breakfast room was delightful - very new looking furniture - and there was ample fresh croissants/bread and cereals. A great find and very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend and return to this place.

Where to start!? The staff were amazing, in particular Adelaide who combined genuine hospitality with a real 'know how' dealing with international tourists. She immediately made us feel welcome, but in a comfortable way, and took care of us during our stay. The room itself was decent enough sized for the price (note: for paris), with a nice bathroom, good shower, nice position/outlook (we had a room looking over the street but apparently there are better views). The hotel is on the corner of Rue Lacepede and Rue Monge, right near Place Monge where there are daily markets with a range of fresh meats, seafood, fruit and veg, and other items. Walk right and you enter the Latin Quarter, walk down Rue Lacepede and you're at the Jardin de Plantes in minutes, or walk up Rue Lacepede and you join Rue Mouffetard at the Place Contrescarpe intersection, with access to this ancient street, tons of restaurants and bars, and the real ambiance of this corner of Paris. In a nutshell, this hotel is in a quiet enough position, and ideally located. I am staying here again without any hesitation. I have nothing bad to say about the hotel. It was ideal in every way.

The hotel was in an excellent location only 15 minutes walk from Notre Dame. It was very clean and nicely presented. The breakfast was minimal but enough to get you started for the day. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and recommended an area for restaurants. The only negative I can mention is the fact that the room had no safe in it. We had to leave our passports with the reception and they placed them in an envelope in their own safe.

A perfect little hotel for a weekend in Paris. The location was excellent - 2 mins walk from a metro station. The room was compact but perfectly proportioned and slightly bigger than other similarly priced Paris hotels I've stayed in. Everything was in perfect condition; the bed was comfortable and the room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. There was even a full sized bath and the shower was excellent. The free wifi internet worked well too. Very little wrong with this hotel. Perhaps a touch on the pricey side and the lift could only fit about two or three people at a time - hardly a problem.

Staff was very helpful in getting us a shuttle to Bailly-Romainvilliers. Elevator was out of service most of the time during our stay and we were on top floor. Hotel did not offer anything to make up for inconvenience of having to take the stairs. We had to ask them in persistent terms for perhaps a free breakfast until they finally gave in. Then they wouldn't offer it for 2 of our friends on the next to the top floor until we persisted.

This is a very nice small hotel with easy access to public transportation. Many sites on the left bank are within easy walking distance. The neighborhood is relatively quite and many wonderful restaurants on Rue Mufetard are only two blocks away.

Good location can walk to Notre Dame, metro a block from hotel. Great bakery across the street. A lot of families live in the area, not a lot of night life. Hotel was very clean, staff helpful a good value for the money.

Location. Very convenient for Metro and places of interest. Staff might of told us of a busy square, full of restaurants and bars, not 100 metres from the hotel, which we only found on the last evening. Would not take the airport shuttle again, prefer the rer, although inconvenient it runs on time.

Location - hotel is 1 minute walk from the metro station and close to main sites. Bedroom windows face the court yard and so it is very quiet, I didn't expect it to be so quiet in Paris. Staff is friendly and speaks good English. Very clean. Room decor is rather dated - I've stayed in more stylish boutique hotels in Paris for the same price, but bathrooms are new and clean. It would be good to have an electric kettle in the room.

Good location, very close to metro and walkable to sights too. Clean and comfy, though in July a 5th floor room was very warm. Good shower. Good value. The room was too warm to sleep well, and the lift was broken on the morning we checked out so that we had to carry luggage down 5 flights.

Location was great. Across the street from gardens, Metro stop, very near center of Latin Quarter Noisy. Not from street noise, but from shared courtyard. Most of the noise seemed to be coming from the other hotels that shared courtyard, namely a Best Western. Many smokers in other hotels, smoke collected in courtyard and into ll open windows. Also, got stuck in elevator for one hour when trying to check out and catch plane. Only one employee there. He was nice, tried to help, but couldn't get elevator fixed or door open until I figured it out from the inside.

The hotel's position is really nice. Near to the metro place Monge and 10 min walking by Notre Dame The rooms are very small also compared with the standard in Paris. The breakfast is too expensive. There is not a buffet and not so much to eat.

The breakfast was very good. We also appreciated the "lending library" very much. The lending library sign stated that books had to be returned; this policy shoul be amended to state that a book my be taken if one of equal or greater worth is left.
