Bed was ok. Close to train station and bus 42. Staff is ok.
Internet is not as advertized. Could not even browse properly looking for what to do in Paris. Room 501 no hot water. And this in winter is not comfortable. Toilette is loose from foundation. Seat is used up/dirty. Drain stinks from basin.
excellent location. opposite Magenta RER Station on line E and Less than 5 min wallking distance from Gare du Nord and Gare de l'east- two of the major stations in Paris.one of the best cheap place if train and sub is your preferred mode od transport. good clean room.
Tiny room. the tiniest lift I have ever seen. luggage is not allowed in lift. Each time I was asking for key they were checkinh if I had paid or not! Though gaa heating is warm enogh for winters I dont know about cooling in summers.
Liked the fact that it was very convenient to Gare du Nord, plenty of choices of places to eat within 100m...try Le Champs Cafe bar opposite the main entrance to Gare du Nord...the best onion soup! Very friendly staff, comfy bed, was nice and warm but needed the window open. I'd stay again, good value for money in the location. Thanks to the staff.
Towels were old, frayed and thin, hardly able to dry yourself.
The staff were very friendly. The resident parrot is adorable. The location is good although I didn't go out at night. It is close to La Gare de Nord and supermarkets and The Open Bus Tour. There is a small lift which worked well.
The room was warm sometimes and there was no airconditioning but you could open the window.
very close to Gare du Nord
poor breakfast (1pcs of baguette, 1pcs of croissant from microwave, tea/coffee, butter, jam, glass of juice, fruit, joghurt) older furniture, older bathroom shower not functioned properly
Location close to the north station Easy wifi access Cleanliness was quite good for this establishment
No light or switch in my corridor (room 201) Elevator for one person only Smell in the entrance hall (especially at night)
Staff are Good
WiFi included, 1 minute to trainstations.
A low price gave me the worst room I ever been to. Directly inside the entrance, with wast noise from all traffic and other. Coluld hardly sleep.
the manager and staff were v.nice. The breakfast was great! fine! the bird who whistles, chats, was gorgeous! v.near the gare du nord for the morning coffee and trains.
well, i am a big person, ie fat, at the moment.. but the beds were v.flimsy.. and not soft and romantic..!
really good location and not far from small supermarket, train and tube stations. Staff really nice.
The bathroom was smaller, difficult to move inside.
Located next to gare nord
Tiny elevator. Small rooms. As with any big train station area- not very safe at late hours
Clean beds 9/10 Near to railway
Room on the six floor (told them I have problem knees) & on arrival told my suitcase + myself would not fit - so not happy when I later found out that was untrue! The bath must be the smallest in the world (about ! metre long I'm not joking) & no plug . Hairdryer in bathroom didn't work. The stairs had dirty old carpet . I didn't have anything to eat there as my impression of the hotel by then was poor. Had to pay 4 euros for the room key on arrival thought this was a deposit , when leaving, gave the key in & asked for deposit back - Was told No. 60 euros a night - NOT good. Has put me off a booking again with you. - maybe I was unlucky. Please advise. Regards.
no lift for luggage
Very close to Gard du Nord and therefore handy for Eurostar. Relatively cheap.
Very down-market, low/no facilities, made me feel bad about paying relatively little for a room in Paris.
It was clean, comfortable and the staff could speak English.
The neighbourhood was very noisy.
Staff seemed pleasant Great location for Gare de nord station
Rooms were basic, no kettle etc. Didn't even have toilet roll! Beds were really uncomfy and the pillows were disgusting and had no cases! Initially had no shower curtain but whilst out someone had come in the room and put on up. Woke up with bite marks on legs.
Wifi n hotel location near Gare du Nord
I was confirmed 1 double bed room due at point of booking single room unavailable. I was given 1single room when I checkin around 1500. That evening 8.20pm i told receptionist that I was confirmed a double room showed my confirmation but he still insisted n told me to check with another staff next morning. I did not sleep well that night because the room strong smell of clourine like cleaning chemical. The next day reception called and told me I can move to a double room as n when I like. I went to reception n was given the key without any apology from the staff. I ask "so.. what happened" they gave me a typical french "shoulder shake" Hmmmm the least they could offer me a free €10 breakfast as service recovery. It would make me ok. Cause the room cash difference was around €45-55. So what is €10!!!!!
Proximity to Gare du Nord (train directly to the airport)
The entire experience was very bad. The hotel is extremely noisy, had a very poor quality of sleep. Bathroom tiles were broken, curtain shower was dirty, bed was deformed, pillows were stiff. The road is very noisy. The elevator is ridiculously small! fitting one large bag at a time without anyone in it! Not worth saving an average of 40 euros for that room! You can get much much better rooms for a little more.
It was very close to Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est. Seemed clean enough.
It wasn't all that cheap for what it was. Main prob- there was no internal lock on my door so, as a single female, arriving very late, I was terrified all night. Incredibly basic, and tiny. Noisy from street and from other guests. Luckily I had earplugs.
Nothing I like there
I have shown them my booking and they were not finding the record and not giving the room so after long wait I got the very bad room. I have paid them cash and they have not given me any reicept or bill even I have insisted too much. I have travelled lot through booking.com but never face such a bad experience. I am very disappointed with this experience.
Tiny narrow lift, can take one person only. Bath room also very small and WC Shower cabin placed in Haphazzard manner.
Fine for one night as we were heading home, would not have stayed longer as area was not not great and hotel shabby
location was good but still it was very rough area. you have to be very careful!
the biggest things i was surprised that there is no "do not disturb" sign on the door. the cleaner opened door without knocking the door!! can you believe that? so there is no privacy and very insecure. also staff was not so friendly, bath room was old and not tidy. Bed was horrible as it has a plastic sheet... very nosey and thin wall you can hear EVERYTHING.
Reception a little dingy. Elevator minuscule but better than none. Room smelled of cigarette smoke but weather permitted open windows overnight. Some cotton swabs in bathroom wastebasket, also smelled v strongly of cigarette ash. Sheets laundered but stained.
