This one night stay while waiting for the ferry was a real bonus to our holiday. Fantastic location right by the beach with good swimming. We reserved the garage to keep the wine in the car cool. Attic room had restricted headroom but lots of character. Superb restaurant across the road and good breakfast too. Will book this one again.
Parking a nightmare Small rooms
Great room, clean , lovely views. Nice breakfast , close to st.malo ferry terminal , great location really near all restaurants and shops etc. nice greeting from staff.
Couldn't get in car park with top box.
Excellent location with a wonderful sea view.
Room very small and compact. Bed was too low and extremely basic, mattress not comfortable either. It was like sleeping in a wooden crate!
Wonderful location on the very edge of the ramparts. View from our 3rd floor room was probably the best in the whole town looking out over the ramparts & sea towards Dinard. Great value.
Location in old town, near beach secure bicycle storage Room a good size comfortable bed clean room and bathroom
neither of us could log onto internet people could (just) see into a bit of our room from the city walls (note we did not have a view - the wall was slightly above the level of the room on the second floor)
very suitable sitation, comfortable room, close to wall and sea,
the price paid coupled with comfort made this hotel an excellent choice
The location was very good, and the room with the sea view was amazing!
There is no lift, and our room was at 3rd floor at the very top of a narrow stair.
Location is wonderful Staff are superb Room was well appointed Cleanliness was excellent
Brilliant location, friendly and helpful staff, good restaurant and great value for money. Swim every morning in the pool which is part of the beach, walk to the Grand Be and around the ramparts and enjoy St Malo and the Cote Emeraude.
We liked everything.
absolutely nothing!except we would have liked to stop forever.
Fantastic location within the walls and near shops and restaurants, although not that easy to get to with the car for the first time. Lovely sea view, right next to the beach with a bar on the beach and the swimming pool carved out of the rock and access to the little island at low tide. Perfect
The restaurant was closed and it was a bank holiday Monday! Having said that the restaurant over the road which they did recommend as we were looking for sea food was very good. Room a little cramped but very clean and comfortable. The hotel had a problem with the hot water but as the weather was hot it was not too much of a problem and they did compensate us slightly. Further explanation needed regarding how to get back in after the front door is locked, all nationalities seemed to have problems with that one.
Fantastic location at by the gateway to the beach with bathing pool (and bar overlooking the beach). Had a wonderful stay and would definitely consider staying again. The family room was excellent with the added (and unexpected) bonus of the childrens bunks being completely separated from our room. Excellent value and highly recommended.
Just a very minor point but it would have been nice to have some little milk sachets/portions for the tea and coffee.
Location is next to the wall and we could see sun set. Room is not so big but enough size for us.
Very nice traditional hotel in attractive and convenient location in the old town near to port. Very good continental breakfast.
Price-value. Good location. Okay room and breakfast (for France). Parking - okay. Wi-fi - okay.
We travelled to St Malo as foot passengers on the overnight ferry so arrived at the hotel at 9am, hoping leave our bags there ready for check-in at 2pm. The room was unoccupied so they allowed us to use it straight away which was excellent with three tired children. We had a family room which was more like a small apartment as it was four rooms in the attic. Two of the bedroom windows looked directly over the beach and the bay which was beautiful. We ate at the restaurant on the first evening and the food was excellent. This was our first 'city break' with the children and it was ideal as there is plenty to do in St Malo (without the need for a car) but the location of this hotel also allows you to also have a real family beach weekend. We would definitely visit again.
The hotel's website and the photos on Booking.com do not do the hotel justice.
Ideally located, with a great view if you take one of the upper rooms.
Staffing is minimal, and not particularly well-informed, so you are pretty much left on your own.
Good position, near sea. Clean and comfortable. Nice staff
Excellent disabled facilities. Comfortable room. Good location. Outstanding restaurant. Highly recommended. N B Me and a disabled friend.
Not easy to find. Some guidance would be helpful when booking..
Location with sea view.
The restaurant served a bottle of Beaujolais Village that was off. I was upchucking all night, and was too ill to eat breakfast the next morning.
Amazing location - room up in the eaves and a little compact but the views more than made up for it.
As the room was on the 4th floor a lift would have been great but not essential!
Fantastic view from bedroom window!
We had two rooms, my sisters room was fine, ours was too small, bathroom extremely cramped
Close to beach and shops
Small cramped rooms
