Free Wifi Close to Metro Friendly staff
No breakfast Rooms was small Expensive
Location is good, 5 mins to republique Metro station, which is good. there's a small Auchan supermarket just outside the street, easy to buy water and fruits.
Staff - cool, but not friendly. Facilty - a bit old. Room - too small, the room carpet is too old. noise from other rooms could easily be heard.
Friendly staff. Close to the metro station, lots of shops and cafees around. Printer at the hotel. Good value for money.
Poor sound isolation-heard neighbours entering and leaving the poor Poor WiFi signal. Our room needed rennovation. No towel dryer at the bathroom. No possibility to close the door inside - cleaning staff enetered(!)the room despite sign "do not disturb" outside the door.
The location just off the Place de Republic gave excellent links via the Metro to all tourist locations in Paris. The back streets of Paris contain good cafes and supermarkets.
The neighbours had a real creaky door which was irritating but didn't stop us sleeping
The staff were very friendly and helpful with everything we asked.. Delightful people.
No sleep, walls are thin, you can hear people talking in next room, TV going to all hours of the morning. Breakfast too expensive for what you get. I asked the service woman to not bother about cleaning my room, left a do not disturb sign on the door, she went in there anyway..!!!
close to most attractions
I did not like the checkout process they ask for my credit card and then found my credit card information did not go through numerous times he tried and then all of a sudden it work it appeared to me as though he wanted me to use a different credit card normally I would just check out
location and cost
a bit run down
Excellent location for using metro to see sites of central Paris.
The hotel room was dated & dirty. Dirty walls, hair in bathroom. Staff service was less than average. The fire alarm alarmed early on a Sunday morning due to someone smoking in their room. As all patrons waited in the evacuation area, staff felt no need to reassure the patrons. Hotel staff were busy observing tea cups! No apologies at the time of inconvenience or upon check out!
Windows and clean bathroom
Outside noise. No small refrigerator.
Cleaning the room every day; The staff very helpful;
The report quality/price;
The hotel is central, has clean rooms,it is peaceful.
this hotel is ideally placed, clean and comfortable with friendly multi-lingual staff.
We only stay for short periods and have not discovered anything to dislike
Staff were friendly. Location was good, 2 metro stations very close by. Hotel was clean and beds comfortable.
Room was quite small. Breakfast was pricey.( A Pattiserie on the corner was much much cheaper)
Close to metro so really easy for getting around. Get an allday ticket for zones 1 and 2 and this will allow you on the metro , bus and train to all the usual sightseeing areas . staff at metro station really helpful. nice bars and restaurants . We felt safe in the area although a few street sleepers they did not bother anyone . Hotel room small (this is the norm for Paris) and basic however clean and a good base .we slept really well , bed and duvet very comfortable and room clean .
Breakfast was not included in the price and at 12 euro each was not good value for us as we don't drink tea/coffee , eat cereal or nuts .there are much nicer patisserie right outside the hotel , wish we had realised it was not included in the price before we ate there .
Nearby centre of town
Tiny rooms , very old everything in the building , staff not good or bad , tragically expensive , not value for money!!!!!
It was so central to the metro made getting around so easy
- excelent location!! very close to 2 metro station (too bad Oberkampf was closed during our stay, this one is just near the hotel, but also Republique was 5 min walk, easy to reach even with he children and stroller); very close to nice coffees and boulangerie were you can eat in the morning; close to supermarket; nice restaurants and cheaper than the rest of Paris; - good wifi - rooms cleaned daily, the ladies in the cleaning were nice and helpfull
- they didn't have not even one map of Paris at the reception, they told me they will receive tomorrow but this didn't happen; even if they didn't have a map, neither they offered to ask me if I need any info or help. Instead I asked a map from another hotel close by, there the staff was really nice and offered me one, even if I wasn't staying with them - they charged from our credit card the cost of a one night stay, with almost one month before arrival, even if the condition of the booking was with "free cancelation"!!! - the staff on the reception was not always nice, the guy receiving us seemed almost bothered by our presence, with no smile or any other form of welcoming; he tried to give us a smaller room, in the attic, even if we were with a 4 year children and expressly specified on our booking that we want a room with a matrimonial bed and if possible larger or at least not in the attic! Only when we said that we are willing to pay 30 euro/day for an extra bed, suddenly he managed to find out a normal room on second floor (and not on the attic as he first said), larger enough to accomodate us. - they really need to change the doors on the rooms, they are old and hard to push
Its in a great area, so close to Marais. Its good value for money and its clean. A boulangeri just around the corner which is great for breakfast.
The room was really warm. Even tho we had "aircondition" which wasnt aircondition but a fan. And we were there in September so i dont even want to think how it would be in July. Unfortunatelly we could have the window open either cause there were a bit of noise even tho we had a room towards the yard.
Everything Clean Fast check-in Room check-in early Welcoming Receptionist
The approach is perfect, the room and staff is ok.
The noise is loud. The metro is ok, but the neighborhood and the bell on the entrance is violator.
Quiet comfort, friendly helpful staff
We use this hotel when we need an overnight stay in Paris. There is in that time, nothing to dislike.
A decent hotel in a good place: close to the underground station (République), the Gare du Nord (airport transports), a clean, decent hotel with very friendly, helpful staff in a small, quiet street. Both room and bathroom very neatly organised: in spite of the small places there was enough room for the suitcases and clothes (almost enough hangers in the wardrobe!). The bed: perfect to sleep in. Bedside lamps OK, possible to read by them in bed (an important feature in my books). Organisation of light switches: good. The elevator was - as usual in Paris - a bit small but OK, as we never had to wait long for it. One computer and two tablets in the lounge area. Other guests seemed nice, too.
I think, there could be some small improvements to be made so that the 3 star quality were there but nothing serious. (I.e. according to continental standards, British standards seem to be different: the same thing would be much more expensive there but maybe more up to date, too.) E.g. in the bathroom some clothes hangers on the door could help. (The towel racks are a bit just already for the towels.) It would be nice to be able to make your own tea/coffe in the room (the 12 E breakfast is too expensive when you can just drop in anywhere for a coffee and croisssants nearby). In spite of the rainy weather, the room was quite hot during the night (there is air conditioning but we don't like it) and opening the window didn't seem to help. (Maybe because a) it couldn't be opened fully as the bed was in the way b) our room looked on a courtyard that was quite small.) A minor annoyance for smokers: if you smoke in the street in front of the hotel, be prepared for some beggars (squatting nearby) to approach you regularly for a cigarette. (They are inoffensive but still a bit annoying.) The final thing is the price (not specific to this hotel only): I don't understand how prices can vary from 99 to 175 euros (here). I'd certainly find even 99 euros too much for a hotel like this (even 10 euros less was not cheap) but who would pay the 175?! Business travellers, maybe.
Location, good value. Showers were unexpectedly amazing.
No fridge or kettle in the room for tea and coffee. Small room, not great for twin, fine for a couple.
