Its a very pretty hotel, with wonderful common areas tastefully decorated in alpine style. Dont take this hotel if you are going there to ski, the hotel has a ridiculous policy regarding skis and ski/snowboard boots, that basically you cannot walk in those anywhere inside except back door and little hall and you are not even allowed to take boots into your own room, you are supposed to keep them downstairs in some sort of a cellar room where they never get dry. On the last day of our stay we took our boots into our room for packing and went outside for dinner, when we came back, we found quite rude note saying that its forbidden to have boots inside and the boots were taken away by cleaning ladies. Whole stay I felt like being unwated guest in someone's own house.

Location next to Le Brevent ski lift is very good if you ski but only in winter as these słopes are South facing so skiing in March is barely possible later than till 11 AM. Although not in the Center it is really 10 min walk. Steep walk but after good dinner it is even better. Breakfasts - clearly for 12EUR per person more should be expected. Very boring, nothing warm but coffee. And croissants! - not fresh but those which you can buy at petrol stations in hermetic plastic bags and they stan fresh for half a year... Although the service was reasonably friendly they did not allow us to check out At 1 pm instead 11am while the hotel was really empty and we were leaving on Tuesday...

I was very pleased that La Savoyarde was right next to the cable car. It made getting up the slopes very easy. 5-10 minute walk in to town. Lovely traditional building.

The place where La Savoyarde is localized is definitely a good spot for those who don't want to walk much to the elevator. It is right next to it. There were two factors which contributed for my negative rating to this hotel. One of them was because the hotel is located at the top of Chamonix, and in order to go to the centre of it, you need to go down a lot. But the worst is to come back to the hotel, where you get definitely tired from the climb up. The other factor and most crucial, was the way the manager of the hotel treated me. The employees were ok, but the manners and education of this sir are definitely to be revised. My brother was in another hotel, and he often came to visit me in the hotel, and one time this sir yelled at me, yes he shouted at me, saying that my brother was sleeping there, and if he continued he would call the police. That's not a treatment the clients deserve, and is definitely objectionable.

Pleasant, nice location for skiers. No hassle and cosy atmosphere. The room intended for ski boots was not ventilated, so the boots were not dried during the week. No bar available in the hotel,

Stayed in the Savoyarde Feb 2012 for 4 days and was really impressed with the service and friendliness of staff. The location is fantastic for Brevent ski lift and only about a ten minute walk to town. The hill is quite steep on way back from town but there's a nice little bar at the top! The hotel itself is a really beautiful and traditional building and has a boot room and ski lockers which is really handy. My only gripe is the lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms, there are none and it would make such a difference (particularly if someone is not skiing). Also the rooms were a little cold, however it is an exceptionally cold winter this year anyway and staff were more than happy to provide extra blankets.

Charming old-style hotel Was very disappointed to find the 'double' room I booked had 2 single beds made up separately & pushed together rather than a proper double bed. The 2nd night they were made up properly as one bed but it was very uncomfortable because one person had to sleep on the join or sleep too far apart to be able to touch.

Very friendly staff, next to one of the ski lifts. Location could not be better for skiing. 10 mins walk into town (downhill), 15 mins back (you guessed it, uphil and after dinner). Huge amount of food options everywhere. It was nog great value for money. We could not stand up in the bathroom or under the shower (slated roof) and both fell out of our singel bed (very narrow). Breakfast is basic.

I thought it was a charming well organised and run establishment. The owner was very nice and extremely helpful without being overbearing. The accommadation was spacious and building rustic. Bathroom was spacious. Typical buffet continental breakfast and always well stocked. A few living/lounge room areas and changing facilities with shower for skiing if the room is not ready or late transfers.

Friendly staff and axcellente location just a few meters from the Brévent Lift During my stay i have to request hot water on my shower because there was a problem with the heating system. It was solved but for both times i had to wait ten minuts for the hot bath.

Great location next to the Brevent lift and ski rental. Skibus to other areas within 5 min walking en center on 10-15 min walking distance. Super friendly staff, hotel was decorated with charm and neat. Specious room and good beds. The bath was very small and the shower very low (1.65 m). Walls were so thin you could hear everything. The breakfast was allright, but for this price we would have expected it to be better.

Pleasant helpful staff, lovely timber room with incredible view out balcony window (we moved the bed so we woke up to mt blanc). The "drying room" needs heating turned up as way too cold. Ski storage area was far too small.

Mainly liked the location, people mentioned about the walk back from town I personally did not find this a problem, the fact that you was 2mins walk to the ski lift was perfect. The thought of walking from town to the lift in the morning would of been the worst thing ever, the room was clean and staff very friendly. The hotel could do with a bar and evening meals, after a long day skiing some times you just wanted to stay in and not go out, as we stayed over Xmas it would of been nice to have some local entertainment. Very worth reading other comments as breakfast no included, not a major problem as we had breakfast on the slopes. Had breakfast been in with the price e would of had some goats in the morning.

Excellent Staff Breakfast quite expensive given issues with British Pound - might have been useful to have a choice between a full breakfast and a smaller french breakfast.
