La Savoyarde  

Stayed in the Savoyarde Feb 2012 for 4 days and was really impressed with the service and friendliness of staff. The location is fantastic for Brevent ski lift and only about a ten minute walk to town. The hill is quite steep on way back from town but there's a nice little bar at the top! The hotel itself is a really beautiful and traditional building and has a boot room and ski lockers which is really handy.

My only gripe is the lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms, there are none and it would make such a difference (particularly if someone is not skiing). Also the rooms were a little cold, however it is an exceptionally cold winter this year anyway and staff were more than happy to provide extra blankets.

My room was freezing cold. Small shower / bath where oine can't stand up straight.

Very friendly staff, next to one of the ski lifts. Location could not be better for skiing. 10 mins walk into town (downhill), 15 mins back (you guessed it, uphil and after dinner). Huge amount of food options everywhere.

It was nog great value for money. We could not stand up in the bathroom or under the shower (slated roof) and both fell out of our singel bed (very narrow). Breakfast is basic.

A good value hotel. Well located for the Ski Lift at Brevent.

Great location next to the Brevent lift and ski rental. Skibus to other areas within 5 min walking en center on 10-15 min walking distance. Super friendly staff, hotel was decorated with charm and neat. Specious room and good beds.

The bath was very small and the shower very low (1.65 m). Walls were so thin you could hear everything. The breakfast was allright, but for this price we would have expected it to be better.

Mainly liked the location, people mentioned about the walk back from town I personally did not find this a problem, the fact that you was 2mins walk to the ski lift was perfect. The thought of walking from town to the lift in the morning would of been the worst thing ever, the room was clean and staff very friendly.

The hotel could do with a bar and evening meals, after a long day skiing some times you just wanted to stay in and not go out, as we stayed over Xmas it would of been nice to have some local entertainment. Very worth reading other comments as breakfast no included, not a major problem as we had breakfast on the slopes. Had breakfast been in with the price e would of had some goats in the morning.

Excellent Staff

Breakfast quite expensive given issues with British Pound - might have been useful to have a choice between a full breakfast and a smaller french breakfast.

From the moment we arrived at La Savoyarde we were welcomed with friendly open arms. The Hotel is in a beautiful location with a very calming atmosphere. We were provided tips and information about Chamonix; clearly these were experienced hosts. We would welcome the opportunity to visit La Savoyarde another time! The staff we truly wonderful.

I would have liked the ability to make a cup of coffee in the room, otherwise we have absolutely no complaints.

The room was adequate and comfortable, however it was quite small - and had just a single bed and not a double.

View, view, view of Mont Blanc, best in Chamonix! Right next to ski lift for trip up the mountain. Friendly staff, 5min walk to downtown.

The staff were very very helpful and friendly - making bookings and recommendations for us.The locationis lterally 50m from the Brevant gondola so very close.
