Location

It does not "feel" a luxury hotel we expected "more" for this high rate. Room was relatively small. Window opend in the middle of the night and we could not close it. Maintenance is quite insufficiente.

Very-centrally and strategically located in the Opera/Madeleine areas where there are abundance of high end shops and retailers. Perfect for those who visit Paris for shopping. Especially for those coming from Asia where branded bags can sell for twice as much as what they sell in Paris. The hotel itself is classy and elegant. The room is reasonably big and comfortable, however not as big as other hotel in the Sofitel chain in other countries, although we stayed on the Sofitel Club floor. But, we must remember that this is Paris where rooms are normally super small. The front desk staff, concierge, bell hops, basically everyone was friendly and polite. There was a particular Japanese staff, Yuki, who actually walked out from behind the front desk and bowed at waist level to bid us goodbye. The way they do it in Japan. This left us a very deep impression of her and the hotel. Sometimes it's simple thing like this which make a difference between an ordinary and an extraordinary hotels.

concierge service was outstanding. If you go to France and want to eat at Paul bocus, good luck, not going to happen. The Hotel has a standing table at his restaurant so when I told the concierge I wanted to eat at his restaurant on Thursday they asked what time, and sent all the train information, connections, everything to my room. Said I wanted to go to Chartres on Saturday, they asked what time and sent all applicable information to my room. Walking distance from everything from the Eiffel tower to the Louvre to Osprey to Lafayette shopping to the Arch to Notre Dame to Sacre Coure. It will cost an extra penny but I will not stay anywhere else.

I liked everything, convenient location, discreet service.

The staff were incredibly solicitous - nothing was too much trouble.

Excellent location right next to Opera, super close to all shopping areas, and metro station. Walking distant to Concord, so it is very convenient no matter for shopping or city tour. Nice & comfortable hotel, room is small but acceptable. But don't expect they will give you an early checkin.

Right across the street from a Metro station. Only 15 minutes walk from Musee Louvre. Very quiet in the room and the view overlooking Rue Scribe was very Paris.

The Cafe in the Lobby is so comfortable and decor is really Design one.

It does not worth the price we `ve paid... And bed is very very bad and uncomfortable... So we couldn`t sleep all night...Check-out next morning and move to La Grand............

Fantastic hotel, fantastic stuff, concergierie are great!! Would repeat any time. The location is amazing to visit the centre of Paris.

every thing was good,

We are already a few times in the hotel and like the location. No hazzle by arriving by train and not by airport. However, at 1 pm I expect a room to be ready. This time a better control of the room cleaning would have been appropriate - glasses were not cleaned etc. Otherwise very good - we will return again but not in high season (currently overpriced).
